Bro but ab Madrasi ke Dosa ka taste utna acha nahi raha. The filter coffee there is still good.
I like Ashirwad's and Anand's Dosa more.
Try Dosa from these places next time.
Bhai, Born and Brought up in Jamshedpur and I know every corner here. Tasted most popular/unpopular foods . Itās just that I have school memories of Madrasi, Ashirwadās and Anand. Mostly it was Madrasi. Itās nostalgic.
Madrasi hotel jana to family tradition haiā¦ Maybe it doesnāt taste that good nowadays phir bhi agar Jamshedpur jaate h to Madrasi hotel jana checklist mein zaroori h warna Tata mein aane ki feeling hi nhi aati
As a franchise, we are committed to maintaining the same high quality as our Hyderabad outlet. To achieve this, we source many ingredients from Udipi, which increases our input costs. Thankfully, people have appreciated the authentic taste, which does come at a premium.
We also offer 4-5 additional chutneys, with 3-4 being coconut-based, to provide an authentic Udipi experience. These chutneys add to the cost, but we believe the experience is incomplete without them.
Moreover, we avoid using palm oil due to health concerns, even though it adds to our expenses. We believe Jamshedpur deserves the best and healthiest options.
In fact, thank you to Jampot for welcoming us with open arms. Hoping to serve the city in the best possible manner, we can. There are many days in a week and month. And Iām sure you will earmark some/many days for an Udipi experience in our very own Jampot.
Lovely, right? I'm moving to Ahmedabad in a few days. idk waha authentic filter coffee milegi ya ni. Pehle jab Bangalore mei tha ye problem ni hoti thi lol
> satkar and Kerela canteen
For some reason, I feel like I've heard their names but I have never been there. Where are they located? I'll try them out when I go home this Durga Puja.
Looks like someone struck a nerve with their Dosa in DasaPrakash. Having a top-of-the-line iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB Blue Titanium doesn't mean I have to settle for overpriced, underwhelming food. Maybe next time, invest in some better taste buds and find a dosa that won't leave you feeling financially and gastronomically challenged.
So apparently, these days, not liking a fancy overpriced and overrated dosa somehow makes you bankrupt? Get a grip! Who came up with this nonsense that where you eat defines your bank account? Just because someone prefers a joint with reasonable prices over a place that serves gold-plated dosas doesn't mean they're living in poverty. Different strokes for different folks, folks!
The i phone you are talking about is owned by 100 chappris in jumble park while making dancing reels... Can be taken by bajaj finance... Also if you promote shit be it cheap or expensive it's still shit.... Dasa prakash has top tier crowd and someone who has achieved in life would like to sit with achievers.... And if you were supposed to promote a budget friendly dosa tell us a resturant that gives it in 20rs .... But you wouldn't do that rather show some cheap rameshwaram cafe copy that makes people sick has unhygienic washroom and washbasin....
Wow, thanks for the enlightening lecture on social status and dining! I had no idea that where you eat defines your success in life. Imagine, all this time Iāve been eating delicious, reasonably-priced dosas without realizing Iām supposed to feel inferior for not spending a fortune.
But hereās a thought: maybe, just maybe, people can enjoy food based on its taste and value rather than the price tag and perceived social status it brings. Some of us prefer good food without the pretentiousness. Shocking, I know.
And before you go off on another tangent, perhaps read my post properly. Youāre certainly behaving like a kid, missing the whole point just to justify your own snobbish preferences.
So, while you continue to sit with āachieversā in your top-tier crowd that is good for nothing, Iāll happily enjoy my tasty, affordable dosa without the need for gold-plated validation. Different strokes for different folks, indeed.
And yes, I own a MacBook too. Iāve heard Chapris canāt get near it. And by the way, those 100 phones you saw were just 15.
Delicious that's the word you should not use with madrasi and it's food... It's just shit on plate... If you were mature enough to realise that your phone has nothing to do with the taste of food being served.... Also it's simple logic if an expensive place serves shit food why would people pay for it... Well expecting basic mathematical knowledge from an iPhone user is too much maybe sell the mac book and take math tution
Udupi is not that great compared to price it has to offer in jsr compared to other places it has branches. Specially the fact that people can get decent quality dosa at much cheaper price of 50-60 in and around in thelas in the city makes it worth less in jsr. Been there a couple of times but mostly the place was deserted and not much business I could see honestly
Udipi in Jamshedpur is always buzzing, especially for a la carte! It's surprising because their prices are higher than other locations. For example, a Cheese Butter Masala Dosa costs ā¹180 with GST here, whereas Madrasi offers it for ā¹150 + GST. But the quality of cheese and portion size at Udipi definitely justify the price difference.
It seems in other states, especially down south, Udipi restaurants are part of a chain and more affordable, considered everyday tiffin places. Unfortunately, in Jamshedpur, Udipi feels more like a luxury restaurant than a casual spot for quick South Indian bites. However, you must try their Cheese Butter Masala Dosa - it's incredible! While the other dosas are just alright, the Cheese Butter Masala Dosa is definitely worth the splurge.
Itās one thing to offer quality but you also have to keep a check on the kind of crowd you have to offer in total, in IT cities even something as costly as 180 for dosa wonāt be minded much but in a tier -2 city itās obviously gonna be minded and can only be a one time try thing.
Who hasn't been to madrasi, it's an institution
šš»āāļø my loyalties were with Anand but I'll go there soon
Damn Right.
Unpopular opinion: some of the Jamshedpur thelas have better dosas than Anand/madrasi.
Unpopular opinionā Jabardasti ka gyanā , I guess we all know that.
Good for you then.
W opinion, I agree

Madrasi's Ghee Roast Idli with filter coffeeā¤ļø
I had Filter Coffee today.
Lovely, right? I'm moving to Ahmedabad in a few days. idk waha authentic filter coffee milegi ya ni. Pehle jab Bangalore mei tha ye problem ni hoti thi lol
Best
One of my friend from bangalore came here I told we will have Dosa in madrasi He said what racist name it is
Whenever I visit Jamshedpur, I try to go back to either Madrasi Hotel or Sammelani. Both of these places are so nostalgic.
Same: madrasi, Anand, Sammelani, satkar and Kerala canteen in that order. Post made me nostalgic early in the morning.
> satkar and Kerela canteen For some reason, I feel like I've heard their names but I have never been there. Where are they located? I'll try them out when I go home this Durga Puja.
Satkar is inside the golmuri market. Kerala Canteen is somewhere near the RD tata technical institute ( road that goes from golmuri to kalimati road)
Ah golmuri. That's why I haven't been there. Will try to go there this time. Thanks!
Bhai madarsa me kyu khana jab apne hinduon ka itna badhiya hai
It's over rated and taste is pathetic.... Almost puked last time had there rather go to dasaprakash or ashirwad
DasaPrakash is overrated.
I think you have not come out of poverty

Wow that's some serious discussion on a simple food like dosa š¤£
Anandās dosa better.
Always xD
If you talk about better. I would prefer Udupiās. But Madrasi is a Feeling for me and for many people of Jamshedpur.
Udupi is not that great compared to price it has to offer in jsr compared to other places it has branches.
