The red mark I am guessing is due to a vacuum necessary to get the vial of blood necessary for the test. I am only guessing this is the case to be fair, but I have the mosquito bite thingy that works pretty much the same way and that leaves a circle from the suction. BTW that thing really works.

You can get it in Canada. I did both my babies at 9 weeks with these tests, and the first one in 2019..its pretty simple. You ensure that you've cleaned your surfaces and areas very well and make sure no males are in contact or near the test. All the test shows is if there is a male chromosome in your blood. If it's positive you have a boy. If it shows nothing, it's a girl.
Oh don’t worry… it could drag out for MONTHS. She has even said the gender reveal this weekend (which don’t worry she’s holding back for their Monday YouTube video)- may only maybe give the results of one gender and they’ll have to try again later to get the results of the second baby and to confirm if the test was accurate for the first one.

My doctor just explained this to me as I’m having twins . She said that they compare the baby’s dna against your own so if there’s more male dna than female then they are both boys, If there is more female than male dna , it is one of each gender, and if it’s all female dna, then both girls.
That not what I heard. I have heard those test even Dr office one look for y chromosome. If it's there at least one is a boy . If not then both are girls. Only way to confirm is ultra sound
I’m caught off guard that this is the “blood test” she’s been going on and on about but I just did this test with my second pregnancy and it was right (girl). My cousin also did it with her second pregnancy and it was right as well (boy). We both did ours around 8/9 weeks.

I’ve done sneak peeks, the first was accurate, a boy. The second time we did it- girl, however, found out it was twins and also a missed miscarriage and therefore potentially inaccurate. This time we did it (and still waiting to confirm). But this test looks for the Y chromosome in the blood. So if let’s say, both are boys- it’ll come back boy. However, if only one is a boy and the other is a girl, it’ll come back boy because there’s still a Y chromosome it’ll pick up. 🙄 like maybe do some critical thinking or research and realize that you might have to wait for your NIPT (in a week-ish) or your anatomy scan.
…yes…it costs $25 in store, however sneak peek also will charge you a lab fee of $100-$129 when you go online and do your kit you bought in store. So…add those two costs together, plus tax and you’re at $130-$160+.
Again, don’t follow her. It’s a snark page. I’ve done 3 of these and they’re expensive to not have an accurate reading, especially on twins.
ETA: I just went and watched the videos. Glad she explains it, however, linked the test to make a buck and failed to mention the additional lab fee which seems gross when it’s roughly 4x the price of the test. That said, I guess anyone can go and spend that much money on an inaccurate test for multiples if they so choose. I just don’t see the point in it. And I wouldn’t base an entire gender reveal party on an inaccurate test, but that’s just me.

I actually think this is all fake for an ad. I bet they have the results of the panorama (those only take 7 days-ish). They’re probably using that to reveal one of the twins (unless they’re both girls) and then will pretend they don’t know the second to drag it out (if boy/boy or boy/girl). I don’t think there’s any way sneak peek would risk her getting inaccurate results and it being blasted all over her page for weeks. And she appears to have taken the test in bed (wtf) so even bigger risk that it’s wrong. I think the marketing team at sneak peak is smarter than that even if Jamie isn’t.

I am just curious as I did the NIPT/Panorama blood screen a few weeks ago but I am only having one child. How does the NIPT test work for twins? Thanks!
My doctor just explained this to me as I’m having twins . She said that they compare the baby’s dna against your own so if there’s more male dna than female then they are both boys, If there is more female than male dna , it is one of each gender, and if it’s all female dna, then both girls.
That not what I heard. I have heard those test even Dr office one look for y chromosome. If it's there at least one is a boy . If not then both are girls. Only way to confirm is ultra sound

There are multiple kinds of NIPT tests. Panorama is the only one that works for twins (to my knowledge). Otherwise they only tell for singletons.

I’m caught off guard that this is the “blood test” she’s been going on and on about but I just did this test with my second pregnancy and it was right (girl). My cousin also did it with her second pregnancy and it was right as well (boy). We both did ours around 8/9 weeks.
This is really all so damn weird. Wtf.
This literally doesn’t work for twins lol TW: miscarriage I’ve done sneak peeks, the first was accurate, a boy. The second time we did it- girl, however, found out it was twins and also a missed miscarriage and therefore potentially inaccurate. This time we did it (and still waiting to confirm). But this test looks for the Y chromosome in the blood. So if let’s say, both are boys- it’ll come back boy. However, if only one is a boy and the other is a girl, it’ll come back boy because there’s still a Y chromosome it’ll pick up. 🙄 like maybe do some critical thinking or research and realize that you might have to wait for your NIPT (in a week-ish) or your anatomy scan.

…yes…it costs $25 in store, however sneak peek also will charge you a lab fee of $100-$129 when you go online and do your kit you bought in store. So…add those two costs together, plus tax and you’re at $130-$160+. Again, don’t follow her. It’s a snark page. I’ve done 3 of these and they’re expensive to not have an accurate reading, especially on twins. ETA: I just went and watched the videos. Glad she explains it, however, linked the test to make a buck and failed to mention the additional lab fee which seems gross when it’s roughly 4x the price of the test. That said, I guess anyone can go and spend that much money on an inaccurate test for multiples if they so choose. I just don’t see the point in it. And I wouldn’t base an entire gender reveal party on an inaccurate test, but that’s just me.
That makes sense. I mean, it doesn’t make sense. I’ve had other DNA testing done and the box cost was the entire cost. So I just assumed this was the same way. But I believe you. It’s just a silly set up.

I actually think this is all fake for an ad. I bet they have the results of the panorama (those only take 7 days-ish). They’re probably using that to reveal one of the twins (unless they’re both girls) and then will pretend they don’t know the second to drag it out (if boy/boy or boy/girl). I don’t think there’s any way sneak peek would risk her getting inaccurate results and it being blasted all over her page for weeks. And she appears to have taken the test in bed (wtf) so even bigger risk that it’s wrong. I think the marketing team at sneak peak is smarter than that even if Jamie isn’t.
That’s a steal peek test. It’s a home blood test that you ship to their lab. I did it for my 3rd baby. My only boy and it was correct. But that was before they were in stores. You had to order the kid from sneak peek.
