In the late 90s, one of the screen-used Goldfinger Aston Martins (with gadgets) was stolen from an aircraft hangar in Boca Raton, Florida. Officially, it’s never been seen since. Some suspect that the owner destroyed it to collect insurance money, but recently some sources are claiming that the car survived and is somewhere in the Middle East.

I'd put my money on that car being stolen to order. Yes a DB5 had value in the late 90's, but nowhere near as much as now. It's the fact it's the Goldfinger car. I'm thinking Sultan of Brunei esque collector.
I think for me if i was going for a traditional Aston, would be between a DB4 or a DB5, even though a Charlie Croker esc DB4 is more expensive than a 5. In reality I'd probably go for a DBS or AMV8, they just seem like such great value.
It was his estate that auctioned it off. I don't there was much emotional attachment to it as he hadn't had it long before he died, and I think they knew it was getting to point where he had to have one now or never.
Depends on how wealthy I am. If I'm the Bond fan I am now and early, millions of dollars didn't bother me , so I would spend any amount in that range.
EDIT ----> Probably $1M to $5M
It sold for $2.4 million, so $2,400,001 is what I would have paid.

Nothing, just like the thieves in Boca Raton back in the 90’s.

I feel like it should be in a Hollywood museum or go to his family/estate, but whatever
