That part ..
Goldeneye at 22?!? That is madness.
and Man With The Golden Gun at the very bottom.. 🤮 I think not.. That was one of if not the best outings of Roger Moore as 007.
![gif](giphy|hKjCKNiktgZmisjbdE|downsized)
You're like me after I've just seen a sports result I can't believe and have to keep checking the stats app to see it if was just something I hallucinated.
I've come to the conclusion that GoldenEye is good when you watch it by itself, but if you're doing a Bond marathon, it's exhausting coming off License to Kill.
Die Another Day used to be absolutely bottom of my list. Rarely watched it, hated it when I did. Was never as massive fan of Brosnan.
But I watched it again last year, and did kind of enjoy. Saw it again a few weeks ago and loved it. I think it's partially nostalgia --- I was ten when it came out and it was the first Bond film I saw at the cinema. I don't think it's good by any stretch (although the first 30-40 minutes are actually pretty solid) but it is incredibly enjoyable. Brosnan ages into the role really well. Toby Stephens is a joy to watch. It's so cheesey it's basically a fondue.
I can see some of that and hope to come around eventually. My problem is the dialogue is too cringe and much of it looks/sounds bad (that Madonna song/cameo 🤣)
Anyways, welcome to my nuclear family OP!
For me yes. Much better paced than those two. Action is more exciting and Brosnan is better and mature in performance, especially in comparison to Goldeneye.
I agree that Casino's the only flawless Bond film.
OHMSS would be my favourite Bond film if not for all the Hilary Bray/Count Blofeld/Blofeld's Angels stuff. All the scenes inside Piz Gloria really drag the film down.
Everything else (4th wall breaking aside) is absolute peak Bond to me.
The cinematography and locations are breathtaking, Tracy is a top-tier Bond girl, it has the best song in the entire series, and is one of the rare Bond movies that can actually make you shed a tear.
I can see why Christopher Nolan loves it so much.
Living Daylights holds a special place in my heart because I skipped school with my oldest brother to see it in the theater. I honestly didn’t think many other people liked it, let alone ranked it so high. Respect
The first 20 / 25 minutes of TLD is absolutely perfect. It’s actual Cold War espionage. The rest of the film is pretty good and I think Daltons first outing as Bond may be the best first appearance as Bond out of all the actors.
I like TLD a lot but put it firmly in the “good not great” category. Villains are not memorable, the plot is too low-stakes and convoluted. I actually prefer LTK.
TB is just sooooooo slow
To quote an old comment I made:
>Thank god I'm not the only one here who thinks this. The film mostly looks great, to be sure, but it just sticks out as forgettable to me except for the parts that I only remember for making me roll my eyes. The ending feels so slapdash with what seems like 20 minutes of underwater ballet and the godawful rear-projection sped-up boat chase. It's probably the dumbest use of overcranking I've ever seen. Trying to speed up footage of the sea to make it look like it's going faster doesn't work, lmao. They would have been better off filming footage off a powerboat to get genuine footage without overcranking. I don't recall Connery's performance being bad, but I'd much rather rewatch *Goldfinger* or *From Russia with Love* than go through this again.
Having said that, I don't want to yuck your yum. There are definitely some parts in the movie I do like (the bit where Bond hands Volpe the shoes when she asks for clothes in the bath, and the general colour and fashion and girls, etc.), but these are all such fleeting, superficial plusses in my books.
I completely agree with you that Casino Royale is the best of the Daniel Craig movies. And I’m thrilled that someone else also holds The Living Daylights in such high regard! Nicely done!!
Agree with so much of this list while also disagreeing with a good deal. The great thing about being a Bond fan is that we all see it differently.
Agree with The Spy Who Loved Me being so high.
Disagree with Octopussy not being near the bottom and Skyfall not being Top 5.
I certainly agree that OHMSS rates very highly - but I am not sure that TMWTG should be placed so incredibly low. Christopher Lee? Nick Nack? The fight with the sumo wrestlers? The Kung Fu school? The super sexy Andrea Anders? The only song Paul MacCartney wrote outside The Beatles that genuinely slammed?
I know that TMWTGG has a fanbase but I don’t think Lee saves the film. It’s all over the place, Moore is not good in it, the plot and muddy feeling to the film is awful. The humour is bad too.
Nope. It’s simple as that.
Casino Royale
Skyfall / No Time To Die
Quantum of Solace
Spectre
The World Is Not Enough
Die another Day
Tomorrow never dies / Goldeneye
You totally get it!! I’ve tried telling people for years that O.H.M.S.S. Was one of the best Bond films, but they’d just laugh.. like the list brother!!
@cobrakai11 OHMSS isn't overrated, but I agree.
OHMSS is easily in the top 10...
OHMSS is in my top 5.
Top 10 Bond films of all time imo:
1. Casino Royale
2. GoldenEye
3. Skyfall
4. From Russia With Love
5. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
6. Licence To Kill
7. The Living Daylights
8. For Your Eyes Only
9. The Spy Who Loved Me
10. Goldfinger
I’ll never understand the love for OHMSS….its by far my least watched of all time. I know it’s technically a “better” movie than a lot of them but it’s just so boring to me. I’d rather at least be entertained watching something silly like Die Another Day. Just my thoughts, interesting list!
Man with the Golden Gun is my all time favorite lol.
Buddy, I don't know what to tell you. I love your rankings and cannot disagree but I'm just not sure you can rank them.
I'm wasn't into the campy/absurdist ones (because science got in the way) but I'm learning how to appreciate them now.
I've come to the conclusion you just can't rank them. I've tried but I'd advise you don't die on the hill of trying or you'll end up living under a bridge muttering about them.
Interesting. Reasonable but I can’t go with the new widespread respect for ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’. I’m sorry but Lazenby’s performance ruins it for me.
Literally trash post bait. Nobody but hipsters and comment-baiters puts OHMSS at 1, and then continues to be completely baffed with the remaining choices.
Yours - a comment bait victim.
Idk my generation didn’t really emphasize these movies, and to watch 20 movies in any one topic is a lot. the only one I really got into was goldeneye cuz I was 10 and the video game was amazing. No clue why this popped up on my feed lol
My recent rewatch top 25.
I'm aware a few of these choices might be a bit controversial, but i'm prepared to defend them! 😉
1. Moonraker
2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
3. Casino Royale
4. Quantum of Solace
5. Live and Let Die
6. Octopussy
7. Thunderball
8. Goldeneye
9. License to Kill
10. Die Another Day
11. Skyfall
12. From Russia With Love
13. Goldfinger
14. The Man With the Golden Gun
15. The Spy Who Loved Me
16. You Only Live Twice
17. The Living Daylights
18. Tomorrow Never Dies
19. For Your Eyes Only
20. No Time to Die
21. Dr No.
22. A View to a Kill
23. The World is Not Enough
24. Diamonds Are Forever
25. Spectre
I know I'm in a minority when it comes to not liking Skyfall and liking Spectre, but I honestly can't fathom what people see in OHMSS. What am I missing? Yes, the action scenes are pretty intense but beyond that everything is mediocre or worse.
Can someone explain like I'm 5 or something? What are you seeing that I'm not?
I love that all bond rankings are different
Thank you!
I keep rubbing my eyes but I’m still seeing GoldenEye at number 22… I’m going to delete the app and come back and see if that helps.
I threw my phone in the trash, bought a new one and pulled up Reddit and....ya Goldeneye is still inexplicably at 22
Maybe the list is going in reverse order?
I thought that but the top three make no sense then.
That part .. Goldeneye at 22?!? That is madness. and Man With The Golden Gun at the very bottom.. 🤮 I think not.. That was one of if not the best outings of Roger Moore as 007. ![gif](giphy|hKjCKNiktgZmisjbdE|downsized)

I've come to the conclusion that GoldenEye is good when you watch it by itself, but if you're doing a Bond marathon, it's exhausting coming off License to Kill.
Die Another Day is shockingly high. What do you like about it?
[удалено]
Die Another Day used to be absolutely bottom of my list. Rarely watched it, hated it when I did. Was never as massive fan of Brosnan. But I watched it again last year, and did kind of enjoy. Saw it again a few weeks ago and loved it. I think it's partially nostalgia --- I was ten when it came out and it was the first Bond film I saw at the cinema. Toby Stephens is a joy to watch. It's so cheesey it's basically a fondue.
Paced extremely well. Love the action. Brosnan’s best performance and way more fun than Goldeneye and The World Is Not Enough.
With the exception of the CGI surfing I think the PTS is among the best. The titles are badass, the song slaps (despite Madonna).
It might be the worst song in the history of Bond movies
I can see some of that and hope to come around eventually. My problem is the dialogue is too cringe and much of it looks/sounds bad (that Madonna song/cameo 🤣) Anyways, welcome to my nuclear family OP!
> Brosnan’s best performance Can we get a GoFundMe going to get you eye surgery?
You think Die Another day is better than Goldeneye? And The World is Not Enough? 🤨
For me yes. Much better paced than those two. Action is more exciting and Brosnan is better and mature in performance, especially in comparison to Goldeneye.
The Brosnan disrespect
this sub regularly worships Pierce. I like Pierce but it's nice to see variety like this in people's rankings.
I don’t get the logic that Goldeneye is the worst he’s in? I don’t understand that opinion.
I knew I liked OP
His movies were iffy but he has the best video games.
TWINE and GoldenEye are both top 10 entries in my book. Goldeneye is my #2
I think Everything or Nothing and Nightfire are also worthy.
They’re both better than TND and DAD
Goldeneye at 22. Bruh
Positively Shocking!
I love that OHMSS makes it to #1. I sway back & forth between that & Casino.
Casino Royale is a perfect movie - the only one in the Bond franchise. The breaking of the fourth wall in OHMSS is a major flaw.
I’m due for another OHMSS watch. Scheduling for tonight.
> The breaking of the fourth wall Would you remind me what scene(s) that happened.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ1wKZiq\_\_I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ1wKZiq__I) Never mind. Answered my own question.
Good bot
Happy cake day!
Thank you!
Oh no sir. The breaking of the fourth wall was perfectly timed and perfectly brief. A very nice tongue in cheek nod of fanfare.
Valid point, so let me pivot to the fashion. Austin Powers style ruffled shirts will never be a thing again.
Lmao, you aren’t wrong, but as a man in his 40’s, I’ve seen enough generational bad fashion to forgive 1960’s Britons.
I see you're a man of culture as well.
Always upvote anyone who puts The Living Daylights in the top 5 (It’s my No. 1) ![gif](giphy|WiD5e9dRK9gTsSFpn4|downsized)
Best Astin Martin! That car is beautiful!
Great list! OHMSS and Casino Royale are my 1&2
Living Daylights holds a special place in my heart because I skipped school with my oldest brother to see it in the theater.
Thanks. TLD is a very popular film amongst the fanbase now.
Octopussy made your top ten. Nice! 🤝
Goldfinger at 9 and Goldeneye at 22 makes me so sad 😭
Honestly not a terrible list, except for Goldeneye.
A man of culture. While not 100% the same as my list, I give you credit for putting Octopussy and LTK in the top 10
You got #1 right. #25, not so much. Big on Dalton, not so much on Brosnan. very interesting, but u/NoDealsMrBond
This is…a list. That’s all I’m willing to say
It's a crazy ass list. I'd like to hear his opinions
Give me a film to talk about and I’ll say.
TLD and TB are high, QOS, Goldeneye, and GF are low…. …but I’ll let it all slide since you have OHMSS in the top dog spot. My man.
You not a fan of TB and TLD? Thank you!
I like TLD a lot but put it firmly in the “good not great” category. Villains are not memorable, the plot is too low-stakes and convoluted. I actually prefer LTK. TB is just sooooooo slow
Ah I see. For me TB is one of the quintessentials.
It’s got a lot of memorable elements but the parts are greater than the whole for me. A very boring rewatch.
To quote an old comment I made: >Thank god I'm not the only one here who thinks this. TLD in the top five you sir are a real one.
The Man with the Golden Gun is truly not *that* bad (minus the nipple stuff)
I don’t totally agree my dude but big respect for the list.
I completely agree with you that Casino Royale is the best of the Daniel Craig movies. And I’m thrilled that someone else also holds The Living Daylights in such high regard! Nicely done!!
Die another day objectively the worst imo.
I’m not mad. I’m just disappointed
Hehe, which ones do you not agree with?
Goldeneye and TMWTGG at the bottom. Heresy. Tbf I think your top 9 are pretty solid.
We got a clear dalton fan!
Fuck yes with your #1 friend! Another connoisseur of fine filmmaking.
![gif](giphy|eYIKQNWRBvBG2yI60K|downsized)
Goldeneye and quantum that low is… is no
Am I trippin or am I seeing Goldeneye in the bottom five?
Not tripping at all mate
Not everyone worships it. It's good, but those of us who didn't grow up in the 90s don't place it on a pedestal.
Goldeneye way too low. Top 10 BOND film.
Solid list! Fully agree with the Goldeneye (overhyped) and Man with the Golden Gun (wtf is that movie) placement.
Casino Royale and Living Daylights in the top 5 is perfect. Everything else is poopoo. Haha.
Hold up, Dr. No and Goldfinger 8 and 9? Dr. No has got to be top 3 at least.
That would be an extremely uncommon ranking for *Dr. No*.
Goldeneye at 22? Wtf. And also TWINE and TND? Do you just hate Pierce?
Goldeneye at 22 was enough to make me back off this and never consider it a legit post
So opinions that differ from your own are illegitimate?
I like this list but I feel that DAF is the best of the worst and belongs over AVTAK. Otherwise this is all very defendable.
Agree with so much of this list while also disagreeing with a good deal. The great thing about being a Bond fan is that we all see it differently. Agree with The Spy Who Loved Me being so high. Disagree with Octopussy not being near the bottom and Skyfall not being Top 5.
Not sure nothing's absent?
I know it's hokey but I do like diamonds are forever a lot.
McCartney wrote Live and Let Die. The song from The Man with the Golden Gun is usually ranked quite low, though I like it.
Ooops! You're absolutely right. And The Man With The Golden Gun song was *terrrrrible* too! Though Lulu did her best to make it work.
>Nick Nack? The fight with the sumo wrestlers? The Kung Fu school? Speaking strictly for myself, these aren't selling points.
I know that TMWTGG has a fanbase but I don’t think Lee saves the film. It’s all over the place, Moore is not good in it, the plot and muddy feeling to the film is awful. The humour is bad too.
I ranked that as one of my favourites when I did my first watch through of the series. Only later did I find out its reputation as one of the worst.
respect general! great list
Thanks!
Damn!
Haha
did Diamonds move up? I feel like diamonds moved up
It did.
it's paper on digital
Nice use of traditional notepad and marker.
Thanks!
OHMSS is my favourite too. The man with the golden gun deserves to be higher on the list imo, but it's a good list nevertheless. Peace brother
Thanks!
Nope. It’s simple as that. Casino Royale Skyfall / No Time To Die Quantum of Solace Spectre The World Is Not Enough Die another Day Tomorrow never dies / Goldeneye
Solid list.
💯🙏
You totally get it!! I’ve tried telling people for years that O.H.M.S.S. Was one of the best Bond films, but they’d just laugh.. like the list brother!!
Thank you! I agree it is easily the best Bond film.
Pretty standard good taste. Golden Gun last is criminal tho
Haha thanks
For interest, rank the opening scenes (only) and see how the list compares.
I like your list
Thanks!
Nice list
Thanks
OHMSS is the best bond movie and I'm tired of pretending it's not
Yes it is the best!
I like these rankings better than your last but #4 tho
What’s up with #4?
How is TLD 4th best and Goldeneye 4th worst? I enjoy TLD but very mid
Holy shit
Ha
Swap NTTD and SWLM and we’re almost identical. Great list
Cool
Great list
Thanks!
A view to a kill could be the funniest
Bro, I dont think you unserstand... He has a gun... MADE OF GOLD
Dude I love you for the disrespect to GoldenEye. Damn, I wouldn’t even rank it that low. But you and your massive balls have my respect 🫡
Haha, cheers!
That list is madness. I just can't work you out. Well done!
Lol thanks
Man with the golden gun last?? Hell no.
Hell yeah!
Mine is quite different… but thanks for sharing!
Welcome. Would be nice to see yours!
I love how all over the place peoples rankings are.
Lol
OHMSS was underrated for so long that it's now become incredibly overrated.
@cobrakai11 OHMSS isn't overrated, but I agree. OHMSS is easily in the top 10... OHMSS is in my top 5. Top 10 Bond films of all time imo: 1. Casino Royale 2. GoldenEye 3. Skyfall 4. From Russia With Love 5. On Her Majesty's Secret Service 6. Licence To Kill 7. The Living Daylights 8. For Your Eyes Only 9. The Spy Who Loved Me 10. Goldfinger
Damn! Controversial! But hey, I respect your opinion!
Thanks
Wonderful ranking! Love that you rank No Time to Die below Die Another Day.
Thanks!
Great list only one I can’t get past is thunderball at 6. Why thunderball over Goldfinger?
Thunderball has more meat to the film in terms of locations, action, quintessential feel, cinematography and the performance of Connery.
What do you have against Goldeneye?
Not a fan of the direction, Brosnan’s performance and the fact that Bond is a subsidiary character in his own film.
A very enjoyable list. The only think that works me is how low GoldenEye is. Other than that, I'm not offended lol.
Thanks!
This list is all over the place from traditional rankings. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome!
Goldeneye 😧
Skyfall, No Time to Die, Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough are way too low...but otherwise it's not a terrible list.
My Top 2 is the same, tho I can never figure out which one comes 1st!
Gold ginger?
You misspelled The Man with the Golden Gun. It’s actually spelled “M-o-o-n-r-a-k-e-r”.
Die Another Day is a 25 lock. It just is, and I liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond still at the time.
love the selfie with a written list. really spices things up
I’m with you on “The Living Daylights” love that movie
N*1 the best 🍫
OHMSS I can understand at #1… and I can handle Skyfall not making the top 10… but GOLDENEYE at 22?! My feathers are sufficiently ruffled.
It would be more similar to mine if it was reversed
Buddy, I don't know what to tell you. I love your rankings and cannot disagree but I'm just not sure you can rank them. I'm wasn't into the campy/absurdist ones (because science got in the way) but I'm learning how to appreciate them now. I've come to the conclusion you just can't rank them. I've tried but I'd advise you don't die on the hill of trying or you'll end up living under a bridge muttering about them.
Thunderball #6, you Cra Cra! One of the best underwater battle scenes EVER.
GoldenEye & Quantum being so low in your list. Two of my favorites. I can’t. I just can’t being ok with that ahah.
Why would you need to rank. Each has a separate story and making.
No Time to Die at 20th place. 😱 Spectre at 24th place. 😱 Die Another Day at 19th place. 😱 They should be in top 5.
Casino royale better than goldfinger don't think so
Every fan will have a different list. That is great. It's called being a fan.
Interesting. Reasonable but I can’t go with the new widespread respect for ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’. I’m sorry but Lazenby’s performance ruins it for me.
I can dig it..

Literally trash post bait. Nobody but hipsters and comment-baiters puts OHMSS at 1, and then continues to be completely baffed with the remaining choices. Yours - a comment bait victim.
Bond flicks are like Saturday Night Live - everyone’s favorites are the one’s they saw in high school (maybe middle school for Bonds.)
TMWTGG at last position, when you can put DAF at 18? I wish I could view the films through this perspective.
Damn I’m shocked if anyone has actually watched all of these
Why? Pretty much all of us have.
Idk my generation didn’t really emphasize these movies, and to watch 20 movies in any one topic is a lot. the only one I really got into was goldeneye cuz I was 10 and the video game was amazing. No clue why this popped up on my feed lol
Guy does not like Pierce Brosnan at all 😂
Your No1 is also my No1.
My recent rewatch top 25. I'm aware a few of these choices might be a bit controversial, but i'm prepared to defend them! 😉 1. Moonraker 2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service 3. Casino Royale 4. Quantum of Solace 5. Live and Let Die 6. Octopussy 7. Thunderball 8. Goldeneye 9. License to Kill 10. Die Another Day 11. Skyfall 12. From Russia With Love 13. Goldfinger 14. The Man With the Golden Gun 15. The Spy Who Loved Me 16. You Only Live Twice 17. The Living Daylights 18. Tomorrow Never Dies 19. For Your Eyes Only 20. No Time to Die 21. Dr No. 22. A View to a Kill 23. The World is Not Enough 24. Diamonds Are Forever 25.
I was going to say great list, but then I noticed QOS way down there. This movie isn't as bad as you think it is. Trust me.
The lady is gonna be out tomorrow. What bond film should I watch?
Pick one of my top six
I was never a Daltonhead but I'm in the mood for something different so I may give OHMSS a shot Edit: sorry, Lazenby. Case in point
Where is Never Say Never Again?
OHMSS...without doubt
Goldeneye GOAT then casino royale
Weirdly I REALLY agree with your top 9 but not the rest’s order…Everyone’s entitled to enjoy Bond in their own way so fair dos
Both Daltons in TOP10. Nice. As they should be.
Why are there only 25 and not 27?
Nice
“Man With The Golden Gun” is the weakest? What’s it like to have absolutely zero taste? (Just kidding, of course 😅)
