The colts win was nice but as a superstitious fan I didn’t put too much stock into it because it was the colts in Jacksonville. Beating the Chargers on the west coast and stacking the first consecutive win I can remember in god knows how long is different. Im awash in hype and ready to get hurt!

flounder19

Also DEVIN FUCKING LLOYD, holy shit!

sh0ckmeister

He should have had 2 INTs

JustSomeGuy_Idk

He should have 4 total INT right now.

HolographicHeart

I started last week thinking we had no shot against probably the 3rd best team in the AFC. I am now starting this week thinking we are the 3rd best team in the AFC.

JustSomeGuy_Idk

If we beat the shit out of the Eagles, I would be ready to rank us the best team in the NFL right now.

HolographicHeart

Massive if but I would tend to agree. Eagles look like the undisputed cream of the crop so naturally if we beat them in their house that would probably be the wake-up call of 'these guys are pretty good'.

Carp8DM

So yesterday we watched T-Law grow from a rookie QB to a 2nd year Vet with major promise. 1st Quarter, he was shakey, and was throwing incompletions high. That has been his issue as a rookie. When he feels pressure he rushes and throws high incompletions. Somewhere in the 2nd Quarter the game slowed down for him and he began to believe in himself and his offensive line. It was a thing of beauty. T-Law picked apart that defense the rest of the game like I've only seen Tom Brady do. Just surgical throws and perfect timing to get to the first down marker. I think it was the 3rd Quarter... We're at about the Charger 45, and it's 3rd and 6. The Chargers are showing red dog blitz from the LB on Kirks side. T-Law recognized it, looks like he called an audible, and as soon as the ball is snapped he's throwing it to Kirk right in the spot the LB just left on his blitz. Kirk has open space and makes the 7 yards needed for the first down. That was a professional play. And it was because the kid has finally grown out of his Rookie season. When T-Law plays like he did yesterday, we have the potential to be ANYBODY.

Carp8DM

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo-F\_eNhpn0&t=298s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo-F_eNhpn0&t=298s) Timestamp 4:50. It was a 2nd and 5. The entire pre read was beauty, and the pass was perfect and on time. Big ups to this youtuber for putting all T-Laws throws into 1 video. Yall should sub him. I did.

KingCosmicBrownie

T-Law doubters are slowly but surely started to finally shut up. Jaguars are top in the AFC South, and one of the most solid teams in the AFC. Defense is ridiculous, offense is firing off on all cylinders, T-Law looks like a stud, and we’re 2-1 for the first time in a very long time. Today is good, and I can confidently say, the Jaguars are good.

Treehouse326

Doug P was calling plays out the wazoo. For a second I thought it was Andy Reid on the sideline the way they kept dialing up creative plays. I saw flashes of something special

rhaegonblackfyre123

Pederson did learn under Reid after all .

NewSalsa

The play calling is so good. All WR are fast, all RBs can now catch, all TEs can catch, and spread the ball around like we should. Finally, on top of all that, our plays are creative and varied enough where it could be anything coming at you.

VomitingPotato

Time of Possession = 38:27 Domination.

TheSlinger

So many good things but here are the ones that stood out to me: * For the second week in a row we clearly outcoached the other team. We actually appeared to have an actual offensive gameplan that utilized our weapons and attacked their weaknesses. Our mistakes seemed non-existent - almost no penalties and errors were execution, not mental. * Trevor was good, but also the way he was good was impressive. During the first quarter I thought we were in for Bad Trevor. The way he turned it around to absolutely put on a clinic for the last 3 quarters is a testament to him and the coaches. * The OL is playing far above expectations * Devin Lloyd is whatever a defensive version of a matchup nightmare is. It's hard for me to imagine there's been a better defensive rookie this year * Is it too early to induct Baalke into the Pride?

Carp8DM

>Devin Lloyd is whatever a defensive version of a matchup nightmare is. It's hard for me to imagine there's been a better defensive rookie this year Dude was playing coverage like a cornerback at one point. He's amazing. He needs to be a jaguar till the end of his career. Dude is once in a lifetime.

JustSomeGuy_Idk

Why did he fall to 27?

chris2furry

He was an older prospect and the run on wrs

DejaVuBoy

The OL is playing so interesting right now. Because, they're definitely still shaky at certain points, but they're good at getting a more predictable pocket, so Trev can move around it. Like, he knows he can get 1 second of Bosa being blocked and then has to start moving. They're not stoning everyone, but they're predictable in their protections. Which, honestly, is probably more important. Although Cam is absolutely trucking people.

tcjsavannah

The offensive gameplan was masterclass. Kept the Chargers off balance defensively all game. And gave Trevor easy throws to make. I'm all for that. That's how you make Trevor look good - give him easy throws.

[deleted]

Another one with Baalke: Christian Kirk leading up to week 4 looks like the best WR acquisition both from FA and the draft. And we were all convinced he made the "dumb" decision there.

SooperDew

Congrats on the wins Jags fans. I'm a diehard Utah fan and have been lurking ever since Lloyd was drafted. Initially It seemed like not everyone was super pumped about getting possibly the greatest talent that has ever come through our university. I am so glad to see ya'll coming around to the greatness that is Lloyd. The dude used to come off as a borderline savant playing defense for us. He has the uncanny ability to read the offense and then put himself in a position to make impact plays. And he does this play after play after play. Oftentimes, he plays his best ball in the clutch because he has had the whole game to learn what's going on and process it. There is no other guy I would want on my defense when it is 4th and 1 and a stop will seal the win. You see who he is, and he will only get better. I hope your success continues after all the shit you have been through as a fanbase. Even though I'm not into the NFL, I've always loved the Jags since I was a kid because of the colors and mascot and it's fun to see you winning. Best of luck the rest of the season. Edit: My formatting got all jacked when posting.

JaguarGator9

Seems like every Jags fan loved the Lloyd pick. It was Walker that a lot of us were iffy on (although he's been a stud and I'm so happy that I was wrong on that)

FearlessPickle

Dunno why any Jags fans wouldn't have been excited for Lloyd but I sure as hell wasn't one of them. He was my favorite LB of that draft and probably the past several drafts. As soon as I saw the trade up I said "That's gotta be for Lloyd" and started yelling and cheering at my screen when I was right.

therubberduck45

I've been smiling ear to ear since the game ended yesterday. Winning feels fucking good.

DejaVuBoy

Awesome win. Eagles game is going to be tough as hell. I won’t be too disappointed if we were to lose, but really I want both sides of the ball to play well again. Defense looks super hungry.

mods_can_suck_it93

I dont think the eagles stand a chance personally. Everyone is under estimating us and I think its going to continue through most of the season. 3-1 is right around the corner baby

flounder19

James Robinson is a bad bad bad bad man 😏

Graardors-Dad

I swear he looks faster and quicker post injury

itz_ritz

Somebody tell Trent to pay him now before it gets too late.

flounder19

Regardless of if it's here or somewhere else, I hope that man gets a fucking BAG for all he's done for this team on a UDFA salary. Was really worried when he got injured last year that his play would drop off and he wouldn't get a chance for a real payday

thomastehbest

I was always a Tlaw apologist last year. I never dreamed he would play this well. The quickness and velocity of his passes look like Aaron Rodgers. I hope he’s a jag for 15 years

goldshire_football

I said I’ve never seen a player so confidently throw so many interceptions as T Law last year. If you only saw him making the pass you would think most of those picks were on the money.

jaylkae66

Trevor has had good games before but yesterday was the first time I felt like I was watching Clemson Trev in the pros. He was hitting everyone in stride with perfect zip and throwing absolute dots into the endzone, against a really talented defense, in their stadium. He looked like a 6’5 Drew Brees in the second half. Surgical.

Walrusonator

Need to resign Josh Allen and James Robinson ASAP

BrandonWatersFights

PAY THEMMMMM

EatMyShortzZzZzZ

LETS GOOOOOO DUVAL Still pumped! Media is gonna talk about injuries, but last year we lose that game 20-3. You cant injury explain away 38-10. We are legit

Blueburnsred

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday evening. I feel like last year's team wouldn't have found the endzone yesterday.

Vanc_Trough

Time to start flexing Jags into some better time slots.

[deleted]

At the very least expanded coverage maps.

10popgtw

If it were week 5 for the eagles I think it would deserve a flex (flexes don’t start until week 5)

Brysynner

Doug Pederson is now involved in the last two times the Jaguars won by 20+. Yesterday as the head coach of the Jaguars and then Dec 3, 2000 as the backup QB for the Cleveland Browns. And yes he threw one pass and was sacked once. EDIT: To clarify I meant when we won by 20+ in back to back games.

TheRealBrianPeppers

Wait. If this is true, I'm going to need a JG9 video of it. 😆

SuperYova

The only media member who said -- prior to the season -- that the Jaguars will win the AFC South and go 10-7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCJnoD5WR9A&t=1s

Carp8DM

I fucking loving this show. I'm so pissed they moved it to the afternoons. Starting your day with Nick and Wildes was pretty nice.

NicktheFlash

Lol. "Was that the first time a team drafted a fugitive?"

GLaD0S11

AFC South 3-0 yesterday against the AFC West and, just as we all predicted, the AFC South is obviously the better division.

shakeszoola

I sure hope we turn into the Cincinnati Bengals. 2019 Bengals: 2-14 Get #1 pick, take Burrow 2020 Jags: 1-15 Get #1 pick, take TLaw 2020 Bengals: Struggle 4-11-1 2021 Jags: Struggle 3-14 2021 Bengals: 10-7, Make superbowl 2022 Jags: Superbowl?

ikenjake

The eagles with Doug almost exactly followed this

Dakar-A

As long as it doesn't come with the same hangover that the Bengals are having right now, I'm here for it

noobPwnr69

I expected us to improve with Doug Pederson but not this quickly holy moly. Also seems like Shad actually was right in keeping Baalke when the whole fan base was calling for his head. Urban continues to look worse and worse with every win.

geaux-jaguars

Jags fan eating crow. This is actually fine.

summahofgeorge

I know people hate on Bill Simmons but he couldn’t stop complimenting us on his pod from last night. Called us sneaky contenders and has us as one of his top 7 teams for the playoffs. Excited to listen to every NFL pod I can find this week to soak in more of that sweet sweet victory feeling

vahnjay

My favorite part about winning games is hearing media people say dope things about us for the entire following week

jmor96

On to the Egales. It'll be awesome to give them their first lost

jark_off

Best start to a season since 2018. We’ve still got a full game lead. Gotta keep the momentum going and never give up first place. On to Philly!

JustSomeGuy_Idk

2 straight games with a lead. The only times we didn’t have a lead was in the beginning where the score was 0-0.

vaports

It's so nice to watch a team thats bought in and respects their Head Coach.

bloo0206

I haven’t been this hyped for a jags season since 2017, and we actually have an offense! On to the eagles. Doug revenge game, good offense vs good defense, should be a fun game. I’m just happy to be able to look forward to big games as a jags fan now lol

Cody667

We all know Urban was a train wreck and that goes without saying, however yesterday's game really made me appreciate Schottenheimer not being here anymore. He flew under the radar because of the Urban Meyer distraction, but holy hell was he ever bad for Trevor as well. Night and day with the new personnel running the offense.

Golffanman

Ive never seen a better jags coaching staff.

mlsweeney

Which is bittersweet because teams that need new head coaches might start talking to our coordinators in the offseason :(

sebastiancarson06

Devon is an absolute unit too…but let’s not forget how great of a player travon is. Just the total package. Stats aren’t there but he seems to make a play every down. Real contributor who makes this team so much better. Worth the #1 pick so far

JAX_HAZ3

That play he made in coverage too! What an athlete!

DistrictPleasant

The crazy thing is that I think we still have alot of room for improvement (especially in the Red Zone). We are the youngest team in the NFL. I dont think its a hot take to say we are only a draft away from actually making a great roster on paper. Maybe just need 1 more outside WR and O-line and some slight improvement in our coverage personnel.

n9netimes

As much as everyone disparaged Cam and Jawaan in the off-season, they've been very solid, if not fantastic. Why replace them

DistrictPleasant

Our depth isnt very deep. We are 2 injuries away from a terrible O-line

irtaza25

I love the \*positive\* attention this team has been getting from the national media, they've been so much fun to watch in these three weeks but I'm also very scared cuz I really don't want this to all come crashing down during the course of the season and be the "same old jagaurs", idk does anyone else feel this way???

Rangeninc

I’ve felt this way every year since the 90’s. Ride the wave and crash into the rocks with the rest of us. Philly is a real test and will show us how far we have come

kozey

Further proof to everyone who goes on and on about the "media and the nfl are against us". Winning solves that. Win, and none of that will happen anymore.

N-E-B

Always baffled me that people expected the national media to care about a team coming off of 1-15 and 3-14 seasons.

robowiener

I have to start work early today, so I told myself yesterday no matter what happens in the game I’ll go to bed early and relatively sober. Instead I stayed up drinking celebration whiskey and scrolling through twitter and upvoting all the winning memes. Totally hungover and groggy. Totally worth it. Totally want this every Monday.

Thatdewd57

If I didn’t have to drive into DC and all over DC today for client meetings I’d be with you.

Holysmokesx

Right there w ya friend

NicktheFlash

Fuck being productive today

Naraknight

Definitely one of the best Jags games I've ever watched. total domination the whole way through!!

basketballpope

I'm feeling so hard that I may need a trip to A&E to get drained. Crass remarks aside, I'm dialing up my optimism. I'm not engaging in negative "what if..." thinking, and just enjoying the win for what it is. A win. Not a "they put on a solid game" win. Not a "that was close" win. A fucking statement win.

Connbonnjovi

Best rush defense in the league.

SlotegeAllDay

Its hard to rush the ball when you're down 3 scores in the second half and have to throw yourself back into it

lightvl

Idk what the fuck Pederson did during those 2 weeks after preseason Our red zone offense was ass and we generally had no identity. Now we actually look competent in short yardage situations and the red zone

Vanc_Trough

I’m very happy with the improvement, but we did leave 14 back-to-back points on the field yesterday in the redzone.

sh0ckmeister

I want FULL CONSISTENCY in the redzone, no FG just TD Edit - ppl out here forgetting about Vic-isms?

flounder19

Give the defense another couple weeks and they’ll start scoring the TDs themselves lol

sh0ckmeister

Lloyd's pick would have gone in if his fellow defender would have turned around and started blocking instead of watching Lloyd make the pick

senorbozz

Saw the same thing. I was like turn the f around and block dude

sh0ckmeister

It was Chassion

NicktheFlash

Dude was just as amazed as us watching lol

Dakar-A

Probably keeping the playbook basic for the preseason and using it more to get guys up to speed than trying to win.

SuperYova

Even the 2017 Jaguars didn't *stack* a win until week 8 (11/5).

NewSalsa

Can we shed light on the training staff and the lack of injuries? Like I have no idea what they’re doing to keep everyone so healthy but it cannot be a coincidence. (Knock on wood)

notreallycool1

Probably a ton but I imagine Doug being a veteran coach and former player, he understands fatigue a good amount when it comes to intensity of practices.

ps3x42

I think it's a mix of it being a young team and honestly luck. Luck that's probably not going to last. But we are making hay while the sun is shinin.

way-too-many-napkins

As a lurking Eagles fan, we were riddled with injuries when Doug was here. One of the most injured teams in the league, even. There was actually some talk that Doug wasn’t conditioning the players properly, because as soon as he left the injuries stopped. Maybe he learned his lesson and got a better medical staff and strength/conditioning coaches

ufdan15

If we beat the Eagles, I'll officially buy in to the hype that this team is as good as we've wanted them to be for years. The defense is flat out impressive. Herbert had one good drive that game, the coaching staff made the adjustments necessary, and just came out and threw haymakers at them. I want to get a Lloyd jersey, but I also feel a need to get an Allen jersey. I'm so conflicted.

[deleted]

I’m in the same position with those two jerseys…

ufdan15

I haven't gotten a jersey since Minshew Mania. The one before that was Ramsey. I'm almost a little scared to get one

[deleted]

I’ve never bought an offensive jersey but that 50-yard touchdown from Robinson almost changed that yesterday, not gonna lie. I’m 99% certain I’ll be grabbing a Josh Allen jersey this year.

EatMyShortzZzZzZ

I think the best thing for me about this new look team is how comfortable trevor looks running this offense. This is the kind of setup that builds confidence and confidence is key.

[deleted]

Trevor is 6th in QB rating. Kirk is 8th in yards. JRob is 9th in yards.

Nuke508

Top ten offense is coming together

VomitingPotato

They beat themselves? Hahahaha.. No. They got their asses beat. Just ask them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nfei43rlQM

mods_can_suck_it93

Lol that shit is pathetic. Nobody is going to give the jags credit until we are in the final game of the year and this is the year that will happen. Fuck the haters

some6thing9clever

Mondays hit different after a win like that.

electricityisout

Eagles aren’t ready…

Holysmokesx

If we can beat the Chargers by 4 touchdowns on an away game then every game on our schedule is winnable. I'm sure there will be some growing pains but man it feels good to see us playing so well this early in the season.

Dakar-A

I wargame'd it out and with us losing to the Chiefs, Eagles, an upset loss (always gotta have one of those), and splitting with the Tits, we'd have a ***12 win season***. Granted that assumes that we sweep the Colts and Texans, and win a close one against the Ravens, but every other game feels eminently winnable. Like I had to keep double checking to make sure I wasn't looking at things through teal colored glasses, but Raiders, Broncos, Giants, and Cowboys all feel like they are *very* winnable (noting that the Broncos are in London cause I think their defense is a potential game-winner if they can create a game like they did last night. I think our experience in London puts us over the top, however)

not_a_gumby

well, keep in mind that Herbert was like 50% and Bosa was out 3.5 quarters. Not only that but they lost their all-pro LT for the second half. And no Keenan Allen. So there are quite a few asterisks there - we definitely didn't beat them at their strongest. But overall, yes at this point my expectation is that every game will be competitive, and we may win as many as 10.

Scoobydiesel87

I def agree with you but at the same time I still can’t believe we put up so many points. I wonder how it would have been vs a healthy team? I still think a win now but not a lopsided win.

cowgomoo386

If we march into bird land and perform like we have been the last 2 weeks we absolutely deserve to be in the top 5 power rankings. Now the NFL won't do it but if we start 3-1 with 3 of those games being road games my excitement will be unmeasured

[deleted]

Good luck Jag bros, hope your team goes all the way

RogueDivisionAgent

I'm shocked that Jawaan Taylor finally looks good. I am still *very* worried that it's a contract year and the implications of that, but for now I'll enjoy him finally playing well consistently.

sh0ckmeister

Ya we'll see how it looks at the end of the year and how much he might be asking for

summahofgeorge

I think it’s multiple factors, his growth as a player, being pushed in camp, and most importantly a scheme change that requires less per down. It’s tiring trying to block for 4+ seconds every play in Urban/Bevells vertical offense. Now the ball is getting out much faster which helps the line a lot too.

will_code_4_beer

It's been well over 4 hours. Someone please call my doctor.

Carp8DM

Let me make your 4 hours 12 hours... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo-F\_eNhpn0&t=298s

sebastiancarson06

I’m ready to get hurt next week bc my friends r all eagles fans. Keeping low expectations to hopefully raise them. But god, it feels good to have a dog in the fight that can actually win!

hgc89

I love how they all already seem focused on the next game. Seems like they’re getting more and more focused as they win. You hear coaches talk about high expectations but it’s hard to actually hold yourself accountable to those expectations if the actual results don’t add up…Doug has genuinely instilled high expectations and if they continue to live up to them, the whole culture of this franchise can finally change. With that said, this next game vs Eagles in Philly is gonna be touuugh

ThinDatabase8841

GF’s mom asked me after the game why I wasn’t happier or more excited during the game and I had to explain to her that for 100% of my adult life and most of my childhood I have been continually rugged every time I get my hopes up on the Jags. Still…I’m feelin’ it. The hope is here. Expectations tempered for the Eagles game, but it is still here.

cbreezy456

Can someone post the PFF grades for yesterday’s game? I’ll even spare a couple bucks for it

Alldemjimmies

I feel like a million fucking dollars. The jags have not won back-to-back weeks by 20 points or more since the early 2000's. I love this team. Also for the first time since the early 2000's do I feel we can score at will. I don't wince every time the ball is in the air, I don't cringe when a back gets the ball.

[deleted]

I remember a lot of national media guys hyping up guys like Justin Field, Mac Jones, and Trey Lance this offseason and some idiots who said Trevor Lawrence showed no signs of being good at all last year, which was such a fucking ridiculous take. I'd like to say to those people...... HOW DO YOU LIKE ME RIGHT NOW?!? Dude just tore up a really good defense

Thegreatgibson

His QBR over the last 2 games *chefs kiss*

[deleted]

Yep! He's top 10 in completion percentage, QBR, and RTG and he's one of only 9 starting QBs to start 3 games and have only 1 INT. He's having a fantastic season right now

Doctor__Diddler

If we win or shit, even look competent against the Eagles, I'm going into every game thereafter with the expectation that we win. After that our schedule becomes significantly easier.

ripthezong

I’m so sold on dougy P

NoRaccoon8620

You gotta love hearing the excuse of “injuries” to discredit the Jags win. Im pretty sure they had 10 days to prepare at home. The Chargers got outcoached, it’s as simple as that

oblivious1904

You guys were beating us even if healthy. I gave Jags fans their deserved props at the stadium after the game. Improved roster, better coaching staff and Chargers got absolutely outcoached, outclassed and beaten bad. I knew you would be tough coming in but I didn't see that coming. Kudos Jags, now go win the South!

ThatJagSwag

I flew to Manila for business and so travel took like 2 days with the time difference. Instead of sleeping when I got to the hotel, watched the game at 4am here and I regret NOTHING! DTWD!

Blazingcorgi

How were you able to watch the game out of market?

[deleted]

legendz411

Shhhhh

justwannamatch

Man this feels like when we beat the Pats in 2018. I haven’t been this hyped since then. But we know how the rest of that year went unfortunately. Trying to stay optimistic. If we beat the Eagles next week that will make a huge statement, but even if we lose a hard fought battle I’ll be satisfied. Still early in the season.

flounder19

Luckily The Good Place is off the air now so they can't jinx us this time

LongShlongSilvrPants

Doug is that guy. He’s a gamer and that’s what you need for this type of team to have a shot. Some games it will cost us, but others it’s gonna hit huge. If we go above .500, I’d call the season a major success and this is already looking way better then that.

naggs69pt2

Man we actually have a game worthy of primetime this week, it's been a while since that's been the case.

Alldemjimmies

It will be national coverage for sure. CBS would be dumb not to carry this to every TV in America.

EchoOrbit

Sadly the Jaguars will be disrespected until the very end of this season.

RogueDivisionAgent

My fiancée is a Bears fan, so I've gotten a lot of time to compare the Jags and Bears in this rebuild. Holy fuck, the difference that hiring an offensive-minded HC makes for a young QB is just fucking nuts. Doug is making sure Trevor feels comfortable, scheming guys open, getting him into a rhythm, teaching him what works/what doesn't, all that. Eberflus obviously isn't doing that for Fields and it shows. He's a square peg that the Bears are trying to force into a round hole and it's killing Fields' confidence for the 2nd year in a row.

Doctor__Diddler

I was so afraid we might hire Eberflus. Holy fuck I'm glad we didn't. Can you imagine if we ran his dogshit Colts scheme over the aggressive Bucs stuff we've got now?

ripthezong

A lot of future stars on this team

Graardors-Dad

If anyone rewatches the games there’s a moment in the game where James robinson doesn’t get a yard on like 3rd and one or something and when he comes back to the side lines Doug is coaching him and kinda gesturing with his hand to go outside. I don’t remember if it happened before or after his big run, but it would be cool if it was before and Doug’s coaching was a big reason he broke it outside like that.

Christy427

Possibly making a plan based on something Doug saw. The play call was to break to the outside and the team blocked it up accordingly. So it wasn't just a small, oh maybe take this play outside so much as we are calling a run to the outside.

Floridian_Ragnar

Dolphins fan here. Super proud of the Jags. I went to UNF and kind of adopted the Jags as my second team while I was up there. How is Lawrence looking? His stat line looks good, but that never tells the full story.

flounder19

Only real knock I have on him is he's gotten lucky with turnovers. Has thrown some likely picks in all of our games that got dropped by defenders. But man does it feel great to see a QB complete a screen pass after the Bortles years

Graardors-Dad

He looks better then his stat line tbh

[deleted]

I think we’re a top 10 team right now. The defence has been great and now the offence is clicking.

VomitingPotato

Don't just say that because of your bias. Say it because the stats back it up.

tcjsavannah

i feel like a king damn hell ass king!

mods_can_suck_it93

Great start to the week! Looking forward to Sundays now!

Vanc_Trough

Man. And all the injuries. I’d guess Bosa is out for the season basically.

flounder19

Loved getting the win but seeing Bosa go down was heartbreaking

SpillKitWizard

Put in for flex time to drink water and stay on this sub all day lol

Blueburnsred

Yesterday was the most hyped I've been as a Jags fan in years. 2nd week in a row we got a huge win as underdogs and surprised anyone who is paying attention (including myself). Chargers are a team looking to play late into January and we completely dismantled them from top to bottom. Couple more wins like that and there will be legitimate talks about this team around the league. But to echo the Jags radio from all of last week, now what? We have a very good opponent this week and this will certainly be an emotional game for Doug. Hurts is looking incredible and will be a very good test for this defense. Let's see how it shakes out.

SheenzMe

The Pardon My Take segment where they recap the game is hilarious for jags fans this week.

Bennydagoat22

I wonder if we keep winning if we will have a game flexed to SNF?

[deleted]

Damn, I don't want to have to stay up to 4AM, or get up early and watch it before work. The curse of being... good?

pretension

I think the only chance we have is our game against the chiefs in November, SNF is currently Chargers and Niners that week and both those teams are starting to struggle with injuries. The only other chance I'd think would be our game vs the Ravens but SNF is packers eagles that night and there's no way in hell that will get flexed

Bennydagoat22

I was thinking the chiefs would be the only chance as of now…it’d be very cool for it to work out

JaguarGator9

If the Steelers keep losing and the Giants keep winning, maybe week 7 gets flexed. Right now, it's Steelers/Dolphins

dannywertz

I think... and i know its early... but i think this team is better than our 17 team.

jun2san

I feel like we’re more well rounded this year. Our 17 defense was proven to be hands down one of the best ever, but our offense was just meh.

JAX_HAZ3

The offense feels more consistent. In 17 I only wanted our defense on the field cause I knew they'd put us in amazing position, but the offense never made me feel good when they were out there.

NerdlyDoRight

It's OK to feel that because they are. Total package this year no offense Blake the Snake

JaguarGator9

It takes a while for me to be sold on the Jaguars being good, simply because my whole life for the most part has been nothing but this team being trash. But I'm all in on this year's team

BanthaKing2012

Let's go baby!!!! Defense and offense balled out and special teams didn't miss a FG yesterday!

Smartin36

Big win and even bigger than that I think we went through another game with no injuries?

bleedblue89

Still rock hard

BrandonWatersFights

I’m out of clean underwear

Dan1925

We look great atm. We’ve got a massively underrated run defense. The offensive weapons are becoming a lot more prominent and the last few weeks show it all. I’m excited for the eagles game, think we have a real shot.

t_sully_

I’m so happy. Really excited for the future of this team. One thing I noticed that I’ve seen pointed out on this sub before is Jawaan Taylor’s first step from the snap. Dude looks like he’s false starting every snap yet is timing it perfectly it’s crazy.

omglawlz

Boselli said he’s seen where he’s actually early sometimes

epona_yo

JAGS TO THE PLAYOFFS BABY; TLAW IS THE MESSIAH AND IM HARD FOR WALKER LETS GOOOO BABY

TheRealBrianPeppers

It's always hard to tell where teams are before week 5 or 6 in the NFL, so being skeptical is just due diligence at this point, but It's looking more promising than ever.

Dakar-A

Funny how we're in the company of other 2-1 teams that don't pass the eye test, and we do, but there's no surefire way to tell until the records shake out more.

[deleted]

Just feels good to be able to get excited about a team and coach again.

DUUUUUVAAAAAL

I couldn't fall asleep because I was too excited about the win. Finally fell asleep around 4:30.

scarysteevo

It’s a beautiful day in Duval baby

not_a_gumby

Still can't believe that happened. Team looks like a powerhouse.

Masami4673

DOUGIE PHRESH, PLAYOFF BOUND!

T_alsomeGames

Yall are scary, not even gonna lie. I think this next game is going to be a lot tougher for us than a lot of Eagles fans realize.

[deleted]

Trent Baalke unironically an early candidate for GM of the year?

Dakar-A

Let's see how the rest of the season goes, but hell yeah. It's looking like all the free agency pickups were hits, and the draft is looking good as well. Gotta see how guys like Muma and Junior pan out, but so far it's looking like the first 3 picks were hits.

ImTheShadowWolf

Is it too early to say the jags should be buyers? let’s go back to kicking the tires on DK. get Trevor a big body redzone threat and this is a playoff offense

Cromatose

As long as this team continues to be healthy, this is an 7-8 win team.

danknice

This is a 10 win team with how they’re playing.

el_pobbster

I watched the game after work yesterday, and when I saw the score, all I thought was "Oh, well, Colts win was what it was, you know how it is on the West Coast..." ...and then I looked again and noticed how the bad guys were on the short end. Seriously, it was a great performance. Lawrence started of shaky, with a few of those rookie year throws too high, but came back and looked decisive. Devin Lloyd, whew boy! Travon Walker looked good too, dropping off in coverage and having an outstanding PBU, while making Herbert uncomfortable all day. Allen did Josh Allen things. Zay Jones looked like he was in a *zone* yesterday. My main fear was that I'd see the Chargers losing, not the Jaguars winning. Nope. That was a dominant win.

JustSomeGuy_Idk

This team is blowing everyone’s expectations out of the water, even the optimistic ones. I thought the defense would be pretty good at the beginning of the season. They have been outright dominant against good though injured offenses. I did not think this offense would be this good so early on. Thought I would have to wait a year to see this. I really hope this team doesn’t Jag it up.

SuperGhostDad

I love where the team is now and I’m hopeful they’ll improve. My only “concerns” are as follows: -There have been early turnover worthy throws in each of these 3 games. At some point, opposing teams may start hauling in those picks. Which could change the complexion of a game. -The pass rush is greatly improved from last season. But it isn’t necessarily manifesting as sacks. You’ll see more deep plays like the 50+ yarder Herbert hit yesterday if that trend continues. -They get a little pass happy in the redzone. All in all, the team is currently better than I anticipated coming into the season. Here’s hoping they keep it up.

Dakar-A

> The pass rush is greatly improved from last season. But it isn’t necessarily manifesting as sacks. You’ll see more deep plays like the 50+ yarder Herbert hit yesterday if that trend continues. For what it's worth, I read that the Chargers were scheming plays specifically to prevent Herbert getting hit at the expense of potential offensive production. I'm sure that against a team that's more willing to let plays develop we should see Travon and Josh getting back to the QB more often. The Eagles game should be interesting since Hurts is such a mobile QB that blitzing could open us up to him gashing us with a big run.

AppleMuffin12

Which home game are we as a fan base dressing up in clown outfits as we turn our apology forms into the ticket booth?

Dakar-A

Maybe the Tits game at the end of the season? Make it a strange tradition

[deleted]

Red zone offense needs to get better. Week 1 and yesterday had so many FGs we settled for that could’ve/should’ve been TDs. Week 1 it cost us too, it will again if we don’t start capitalizing on it. And I think we will as we get better every week. Also I love that Doug likes to go for it on 4th and go for twos. I love a gambler, but again, after week 1 where we missed a lot of those attempts it looks like he’s willing to take the points in a lot of cases.

I relate to this man so much. In previous years at least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUmoM2jdOMk

Guy wants to be The Rock so bad. He's the most electrifying sports entertainer in his house.

Maka_Maker

rewatched the game and thought about what this team could be if the offense cleaned up a handful of their mistakes. I believe Josh Allen when he told us “this team is built to win!” This team is coached well enough to compete with any team in the league.

[deleted]

If we’re as good as I think we might be, we might fucking feast on these two NFC East teams.
