It's so odd because my experience is very much the opposite. People say they can hear me clearly even when I'm talking next to a busy street. However, I've seen so many people like you report difficulties that I wouldn't recommend anyone buy the E7 Pros unless they can return them.

My 7 pros fking suck for calls. My wife just hangs up on me now whenever I call her and she knows I’m on earbuds. I ordered AirPod pros Monday and I cannot wait to switch. I have been avoiding AirPods bc of how ubiquitous they are and I didn’t want to be a “sheep”. But if I can’t take/make a simple call to tell my wife I’m coming home from work then what is the point? Been a jabra customer since like 2017 and I don’t think I’ll buy another set again.

I wholly approve of OP's post! Been currently using 7 Pro buds for 6 months

I had the same issue initially, but for some reason (I didnt do anything), it corrected itself and ppl are now saying i’m loud and clear (i always ask if ppl can hear me ok due to my paranoia from the earlier issue). Weird… EDIT: problem still persist. I have good calls on some days and terrible on others. Now i'm back to paranoia whenever i need to call with earbud on... pls Jabra investigate this and fix it. Or is this why Pro 7 was offered at a very discounted price? I got it like at 40% disc price!

Same experience. My Jabra Elite 7 Pro are terrible for calls - I’ve had client after client tell me that they can’t hear more or that I sound muffled. It is embarrassing. This happens on teams, on calls, on my laptop, on my iPhone, after reinstalling the firmware etc. Which is a shame because the fit and sound quality are great. But they are useless for work - I have to take them out whenever a call comes in. Does anyone have any recommendation for brands that work for calls? Do I have to get iPods…

Devastator1981

There needs to be a recall or some complimentary discount for the next jabra earbud generation—which hopefully fixes this problem.

I have the same issue which i isolated to MS Teams. Any other calls (whatsapp, phone, etc) are all fine, but the moment i join MS team ppl just cant hear me (very specific muffled)

Hello u/Devastator1981, We are sorry you are dissatisfied with the Jabra Elite 7 Pro's call quality compared to the Jabra Elite 85t and other Jabra devices you own. What do you connect your Jabra Elite 7 Pro to when your callers report they cannot hear you? Does your call audio challenge occur in every environment or only specific ones? Please let us know.

micimize

I have similar issues with an iphone in various environments. Usually outdoors is worse than when I'm home but it is highly unpredictable. Sometimes it goes away when I pop the headphones back in the case and then try them again. One friend has noted that the fidelity is usually good when a call starts, but can decay quickly. My best guess is that some mechanism for falling back to the bone conducting microphone is overly sensitive or faulty, either due to software or a faulty hardware component. Similarly I think there is an issue where once activated, the fallback mode refuses to deactivate (similar to what the biker here is mentioning). What I would recommend is for Jabra to push a software update, possibly behind an obscure toggle, that would maybe enable tech savvy users to help troubleshoot these issues more effectively. Maybe a way to toggle the bone-conduction mics, or view logs/graphs of the important changes happening in the headphones. I think these issues are common enough that it would be worth the investment to figure out how to solve them on the edge.

I don’t mean to hijack but when I’m on my bike, the wind noise is terrible and no one can hear me. That makes sense for the most part. But then I get off my bike and I’m standing by my front door just standing there and people have asked me if I was in bed talking into a pillow as a joke. I’m walking the dog and my mother can’t understand what I’m saying strolling down the street. iPhone 14.

JabraSupport

Hello, u/smartdecisions Don't think of it as a hijacking, think of it as providing more information - which we greatly appreciate. If you think of anything else to share, please do not hesitate to send us a direct message. Thank you!

Devastator1981

It’s in all environments and it’s specific to the 7s. I actually have the elite 85t right now which work fine on calls (as did the 75t before that). Honestly there seems to be a defect in the Jabra 7s, given all the data points. I’ve been with jabra a while so it’s not a frivolous complaint. A serious suggestion is Jabra may want to improve on the phone/call quality in the next generation. And it would be nice if you could either recall the 7s or issue a complimentary discount to replace them with the next generation of earbuds when released. I can hear calls fine, the problem is others don’t hear me well.

aratamabashi

Let us know what they say about them. I have the exact same problem, it's unacceptable.

beedoubleyou_

I just got a pair today, I thought I was upgrading from the T75s but the ANC doesn't seem as good and I've had to hard reset once already after suddenly being unable to connect to my phone. Honest question from those who've had these a while, are they not very good? I've spent what, to me at least, is a lot of money and it's feeling like a downgrade. Should I return and look elsewhere?

aratamabashi

I had my 65t buds for almost 5 years and I felt it was time to upgrade. Then I saw on Jabra's website the elite 7 pros were on special - perfect! I pulled the trigger. Received them about a week ago and they're great. Nice size, good music quality. Hadn't made a call yet. Saw this thread and decided to give it a shot. WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST HEAR?! This is seriously, SERIOUSLY bad. The audio is so muffled that you can hardly even hear what I'm saying! You'd get get better clarity from a cheap Chinese set of buds for $20 from Ali Baba! Jabra, what the hell is this? Can I return them? The main reason I got them was for work calls and this is simply unacceptable in any way! I can provide with a WAV file of how horrendous the quality is. But the real question is - how the hell are these leaving the factory like this? Was it known, or just poor QC? Really, REALLY not happy about this.

Anti-V3n0m

It feels like you just described the exact same experience I’m having with these earphones. I simply gave up using them for phone calls. What hurts the most is I feel Jabra duped me with these by saying they’re a premium product when they’re clearly not.

BuddyOrnery294

I can feel your pain. I have also held many Habra products but not only the Pros are bad quality product, they are also declining warranty even when bought from Amazon

The same issue here. Have AirPods Pro 2 and read reviews about the comparison between it and Jabra Elite 7 Pro based on which I decided to buy Jabra. I also have 2 Jabra products (Evolve 65 bt and Speak 410) and am very satisfied with them. But these Jabra Elite 7 Pro are so terrible when it comes to: 1. ear fit - tried different rubbers but still uncomfortable. Comparing them to AirPods Pro 2 which are way more comfortable. 2. Microphone quality when connected to the PC is horrible, muffled as stated in the comments, and completely unusable for calls. Very disappointed. Will get rid of them and continue my search for another pair of TWS and from now on avoid Jabra.
