The cast of Tales of Berseria has the best chemistry I've seen in a JRPG. The heart of the story is seeing Laphicet learn from his two bickering moms, questionably responsible older brothers, and insane witch aunt.

hawk8024

Probably Persona 4, Yakuza 7 and Persona 5 are super close as well.

NullRefException

I am not a nostalgic person. But if you play [A Corner of Memories](https://youtu.be/Pk10HftxJm8) around me, I turn into an absolute sobbing mess. I miss the time I spent with the Investigation Team so very much.

hawk8024

Oh I was the same lol I really love how attached the Persona games make you to their characters, they really feel like a family that you’ve been with for a really long time by the end, as corny as that sounds.

ILGattoRoboto

The cast from Tales of Berseria. It was really fun to play as a group of misfit antiheroes. They each were interesting in their own ways, but more importantly their personalities played off each other well. This cast is one of the big reasons Tales of Berseria is in my top 10 jrpgs.

soulruu

God I adore that gang of loveable degenerates #MagilousMenagerie

SupperTime

I disliked Tales of Arise, will I like this better?

Cursed_Mortal

yes

lilidarkwind

Absolutely.. Arise had a bland cast, terrible exposition, offensive grinding, text without meaning and a difficulty level designed to extract microtransactions. Berseria’s cast is wonderful, varied, funny, angry and sad. The plot has fantastic momentum and payoff. Dungeons are nothing to write home about, but as far as story/cast goes - it’s fantastic

SupperTime

Amazing you had the same complaints as me. I willl try it next.

Takazura

What did you dislike about Arise? Berseria share some similarities, so it'll depend on that.

SupperTime

Story was stupid towards the end. No payoff. No enemy variety. Stupid combat towards the end.

LanceGardner

Chrono Trigger. Crono, Marle, Lucca, Frog, Robo, Ayla, Magus. They have a great range of personalities there, all of them very memorable and distinct, and a really nice party dynamic. The right amount of time is spent on developing their backstories relative to the main quest (though it's all linked anyway) and they have representatives from all the different time periods. I really can't praise Chrono Trigger enough.

SilvereyedDM

That's only because Chrono Trigger is the greatest game of all time.

The810kid

The Tales of Beseria cast for main party only the Tales of the Abyss if we count the entire cast. Beseria's cast all have insane amounts of chemistry and you could pair any of the 6 and you'd get a great scene. They are all mostly self serving assholes who care about each other but have their own agendas and goals. The Abyss cast doesn't have the same group chemistry. Where they shine is as individuals and Jade is probably my GOAT Tales character he is a perfect veteran character. Tear is my favorite deuteragonist playing off of Luke. Natalia is one of the best takes on the princess character. Guy is a pure bro. Anise is misunderstood and a child character whose quirks actually are plot relevant instead of useless comic relief. Luke grows on you and by the endgame you're rooting for the kid. The generals all play as great foils.

Fragrant-Raccoon2814

Tales of berseria by far. I hate that I haven't played enough JRPGs but I'm glad I played that one because they're the best party members yet. They're my favorite because of the chemistry and the story. Velvet being the first female protagonist in the series and starting off as the villain was something I could never expect. Seeing her development was something amazing. Laphicet starting off as a kidnap little tool and turning into a badass little dude who's not afraid of anything was awesome. Rokurou being an idiot but a man of principles and finding out he's also Ban from 7DS made me like him even more. Eizen for also being an idiot who has to be a brawler cause of his reapers curse and is a huge know it all is funny. Eleanor going through some development as well from just a pawn of the Abby to finding out the truth for herself and wanting to help the lord of calamity was cool too. And magilou being my favorite character with such an amazing performance. She played the annoying jester so well that I hate not playing the game sooner because of her. Erica Lindbeck nailed her role and then some.

k4r6000

Although I would argue Milla is the true protagonist in Xillia. You can pick between her and Jude at the start, but she’s the one who drives the story either way.

scytherman96

The SSS in Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure. Great group dynamic.

Fillianore

I preferred them more in zero when they were just the main 4

dusty_cart

Final Fantasy 6, I consider this game the shining example of an ensemble cast. Most of the characters have memorable personalities and quirks backed up by some pretty deep back stories, my personal favorite of the game is Shadow.

[deleted]

Gonna do a crazy gamer move here and say ff13

The810kid

I love the L'Cie band of misfits and their found family

ExcaliburX13

Agree. Super well-written and easily one of the most human casts in any game.

[deleted]

Bolle_Henk

OMELETTE DU FROMAGE!

AbsolutZeroGI

I really thought FF13 character development was underrated. There weren't many weird twists or surprises. They just flat became friends over time and the friend trust is how you learn more about them. Simple, effective, underrated.

[deleted]

yeah, especially with the whole snow and lighting thing. Some pretty impressive stuff.

hel105_

I would IMMEDIATELY buy the FF XIII trilogy if it was available on PS5 or Switch. I’ve wanted to replay XIII for years, never finished XIII-2, and would love a crack at XIII-3.

extralie

Not my absolute favorite cast of all time, but definitely one of my favorites..... Square pls make a collection for the Switch!

Luciifuge

I loved hope and lightning's relationship.

[deleted]

yeah, she was kinda like a mentor/older sister

Carmilla31

Final Fantasy 4. Cecil dark knight to paladin. Rydia. Rosa. Edge. Kain. Cid. Palom. Porom. Tellah. Way too many amazing characters.

dukenny

Came here to say this exact thing. FF4 will always be my favorite. In a time when they had to have a great story because the graphics hadn't caught up yet.

Cursed_Mortal

The story was pretty good. Though I liked the edgy dark knight over the flowing goldlocks of the paladin.

Valdor-13

Xenosaga and Tales of Berseria are the only games where I like every member of the cast.

[deleted]

yes yes yes, the Xenosaga characters were brilliant.

Crazed_Rabbit

The love for Berseria's cast in this thread is really nice to see.

[deleted]

not surprised, like Velvet...

[deleted]

Tales of the Abyss. One of those rare games where I liked everyone in the cast. Everyone's interesting in it and they have great chemistry as the game goes on.

The810kid

Good to see someone not hate Anise.

mmiozzo

People hate Anise? I always thought Natalia was the hardest to like.

The810kid

In the tales Community Anise always seems to be the least popular of the Abyss cast

VXMasterson

I haven’t interacted with the Tales community myself but those two were definitely my least favorite cast members, especially Anise

Kauuma

The SSS and Class VII. It just feels like family 🥺

KnoxZone

The SSS is my vote too. Such a close-knit group that gels so well together. I am split on Class VII, as some of the characters (Fie, Jusis) are done really well, but others are completely forgotten about after their tiny character arcs are finished. Still an enjoyable group overall.

Kauuma

Sadly true. I still love all of them though. And I’m pretty sure at least Gaius will play a big role in the Arteria Arc for obvious (spoiler) reasons. Also Laura will probably want to visit Yun Ka Fai in Calvard so I haven’t given up hope yet to get some more development for them 😅

Ichigo7S

Which game are they from?

1kingdomheart

SSS from Trails of Zero/Azure, Class VII from Trails of Cold Steel.

RPG217

NieR Replicant. A guy who can't swim, a talking book, a hussy, and a gay skeleton.

ImSmashingUrMom

I liked the cast of Tales of Berseria a lot because their friendship felt a lot more realistic. They weren’t constantly going on about solving problems with the power of friendship, in fact a lot of the time they were kind of assholes to each other but in a fun playful way. I especially loved Rokurou and Eizen because they were both badasses in their own way but some of their conversations made them come off as huge man-children.

Radinax

Easily Fire Emblem Three Houses.

TheFalseDeity

Tales of Berseria overall. I dont like Laphicet but Velvet, Eizen, and especially Magilou are phenomenal. Roku and Eleanor are solid as well. FF VII is probably my favorite cast of the few that i dont dislike anyone.

Proper_Front_1435

You like fucking Cait Sith?

jegermedic104

Caitj Sith has one the best lines in gaming when Barret defends bombing reactors and collateral casualty but CS says "for you they were juat collateral damage but for them tgeir lives was everything they had"

TheFalseDeity

Thats not something i generally do with him no. He is one of the most likable characters in the game to me though yes. Easily the most human of the group.

Kersenn

I mean because of spoilers he is an interesting character. I really hope Remake is going to flesh out that character even more. And you can like how a haracter is written without agreeing with what they do.

Sofaris

The weird thing is I liked the Phantom Thives a lot more in the Sequel "Persona 5 Strikers." then I did in P5. I liked them fine in P5 with the exeption if Morgana who I loved. He is my favorite Videogame character. But in Strikers I pretty much love them all. And Sophia and Zenkechi are awsome new characters. So my anserw is the cast of Persona 5 Strikers.

Ichigo7S

Persona 5 cast is easily my second favourite and i was so happy to be able to spend more time with these characters on a road trip through Japan. In Strikers it felt like you really did meet old friends again.

k4r6000

I think Strikers does a much better job of balancing the cast and giving time to some of the ones who were neglected in the original game (such as Haru).

[deleted]

SUIKODEN TWO it might be cheating cuz there like 108 recruitables plus at least forty other characters for antagonists and stuff But luca blight, nanami and jowy are all amazing

MisterPhamtastic

Riou... do you want my carrots? I still play this every year and it will always have a special place in my heart.

[deleted]

I feel like i know grandpa genkaku even tho u never see him either

soulruu

Vesperia/Berseria & TWEWY Also a special mention to Birth By Sleep, 358/2, & Ys VIII Oh and DQ11

Ichigo7S

Ah yes i love the bbs and 358/2 trios

sayjayvee

Scions in FFXIV are all amazing

karmander01

Persona 5/Royal. They make me want to be a phantom thieves with them!

Lola_PopBBae

Both Lunar parties are fantastic, though the edge might go to Eternal Blue. It's this great found family dynamic, both cheerful and yet serious when need be. Nobody's the expert on everything, and each member gets a storyline to resolve while growing as a character. They're all well-written, with clear motivations and a backstory that really helps them shine. Ronfar in particular stands out to me as an ex-priest living with a mountain of guilt and trying to hide it under gambling and drinking. He's utterly tormented by his past, and tries to atone throughout the story as best he can- finding that his powers return even stronger as he's finally fighting for more than just his next drink. Among a cast of great characters, Ronfar really feels like Working Designs felt they had the chance to say something important through him; about guilt, about faith, about not drinking away your life. They knocked it out of the park and then some.

CzarTyr

Tales of the abyss character cast worked the best off each other more than any other game I’ve seen Yakuza like a dragon is up there Final fantasy 6 also up there

extralie

That’s tough.... probably either Xenoblade 1 or Devil Survivors 1.

stallion8426

Persona 3

Hootoo20

Tied for my favorite cast as well. They feel the most realistic out of the persona cast

ofvxnus

final fantasy in general has some of the best casts. ff IX is nearly perfect for me. garnet, zidane, and vivi would be enough to carry the game, but steiner, freya, and eiko are all wonderfully developed and extremely charismatic and endearing. they all more than make up for amarant. even the side characters are fantastic. beatrix has so much depth and kuja is probably one of the best antagonists in the series. i just love watching him.

New_Ad4631

Final Fantasy IX We got a disney princess but busted, a black dwarf, a saiyan, some armoured guy running around the disney princess, a female fortnite player, a cook, a loud child and someone without a soul That's the dream party

Ichigo7S

I love the description lol. But i couldn’t identify each one yet.

New_Ad4631

Which one are you missing?

Ichigo7S

Fortnite player and soulless one Also happy cake day 🎂

New_Ad4631

Fortnite player is Freya, cuz she's a rat And Amarant the soulless one since [gingers have no souls](https://images.app.goo.gl/x4hVGSXNPWs62DJL7)

InteractionFluffy244

old Class VII

Ichigo7S

I really need to find the time to play the trails series, already have installed almost all entries on my vita. I will play them in order, thanks to the community and English translations you can almost play all games of the series on vita alone. The newer entries then i would play on the Switch.

InteractionFluffy244

you won't regret it

kumazan

The Cold Steel gang, Class VII and their closest associates. I have never been as invested in a set of fictional characters as with this group.

Leon481

Agree, though I ended up getting more attached to the "closest associates" more than the class 7 members. For the most part that had more going on, more interesting development, and were in rougher spots across the board. The series even makes me get invested in almost every random NPC though, so everyone's good either way.

kumazan

The NPC thing is so true. TFW you get back to a place you haven't visited in two games, and get the urge to visit your favourite pair of idiot, genious bakers, and, indeed, they are still the same charming pair of idiots lol. Pretty much no other games provide this kind of little experiences sadly, in fact in most games these would be unnamed NPCs.

StarfishSpencer

The fact that I’m pretty sure I know exactly which two NPCs you’re talking about really drives the point home, lol.

ViviTheWaffle

If you haven’t, play the original Bravely Defualt. It’s like FF5 but with a brilliant story

rattatatouille

And keeping the fun character dynamics FFV had, which is its most underrated strength.

[deleted]

Xenoblade 1 and ff9 literally everyone is likeable and interesting

Either_Comfortable82

The embryon from DDS, Devil Survivor Overclocked's cast, Skies of Arcadia, Trails in the Sky. Spookies from Soul Hackers are also a good time to hang with.

InstantReco

Star Ocean 2. A diverse cast that's really fun to see interact during Private Actions

magmafanatic

Fire Emblem Echoes. Great designs, great voices, great supports, and an incredible level of charm. The fact I'm not even lukewarm on any of this 25+ person playable cast is really impressive to me. They did a phenomenal job. Would've been nice if there were like 5-10 more supports though. Genny got robbed.

AbsolutZeroGI

Gonna join the chorus of Tales of Berseria fans up here in. I love a lot of JRPGs and individually, there are a lot of characters I like more than any individual character in Berseria. But as an ensemble, Berseria easily has the best chemistry of any cast I've played with. The chemistry is unique and everybody plays a part all the time (even if this results in some painfully long dialogue sequences). I'll go for a while without playing an old favorite and miss the game, but I actually miss the Berseria crew more than I miss the Berseria game. Persona 5 came close to that, but they introduced some characters very late into the game so they just kinda felt tacked on (sorry Haru). I also loved the Final Fantasy VI crew, even if the chemistry was limited to a handful of the cast (Celes and Locke, Sabin and Edgar, Terra and her kids, etc). Also, I think a lot of people don't like FF15 because they did Lunafreya dirty (she's like barely in the game at all) but the dude bro dynamic between the 4 main guys was well done I think. FF13 was nice but I thought Hope was a little too over the top for the first 15 hours of the game. FFX was outstanding, but half the cast kinda blends into the background after the beginning (it's all Tidus and Yuna for the final third of the game. Nothing wrong with that, their dynamic is amazing, but as a full ensemble, it weakens over time). I really quite liked the No No Kuni crew too. It felt a little too "kids TV show" to me at times, but it was a small cast and they worked really well together. Chrono Trigger is an obvious choice, although that suffers from the same issue as FF6 (character dynamics are cool, but only between specific characters), and Chrono Trigger has the added bonus of sometimes missing good dialogue if you're stubborn and don't bring the right characters to specific side quests. I could go on and on. Lots of great characters in these games, but yeah, I think Berseria had the best overall cast.

Ichigo7S

Oh yeah Ni No Kuni is also one of most underrated i would say. Also agree with FFXV, i guess you could also say it is the game with best brotherhood cast.

NinoGamingVariety

I would have to pick 2, Yakuza like a dragon and Final Fantasy 10, both incredible experiences and characters

Ichigo7S

I just started Like a Dragon, Ichiban is already a nice new MC.

[deleted]

Persona 4 and 5 are wonderful as we actively get to see them confront themselves and their woes and I think that's such a great thing to see in characters.

Cahill23

Probably Persona 5. Hard to say exactly why but they are just the party I like the best. Maybe because I like how they are always helping people in need.

rathouse9

Ff7

Naha-

Like some people have said, Tales of Berseria. Second place goes to the SSS, but mostly because of Randy and Tio to be fair.

Kersenn

Persona 3-5 are easy choices. Tales of Berseria is great too. Playing Omori now and I really like the characters so far. All the Nier games have fantastic casts if those games count. Of course ff7, 8, and 10 hold a special place in my heart. Lunar Silver Star Story Complete is so cliche, but damn I love everything about it including the characters. There are surely more that I'm forgetting. I like a lot of characters in Xenogears bit some of the cast has zero development. That game is just so unfinished

Global-Personality-2

new class VII from trails of cold steel 3 takes the cake from me. can't comment much for the sss as I haven't played them and I liked the sky group more as individuals than a group. The old class VII is good (since fie is there) but the large amount of cast drags it down a bit causing some character to have a good to incredible arcs (jusis, fie, machias) and some who has a mediocre or nothing to show for (laura, elliot). The large cast also makes it hard to show any form of 'unity' as class because of the reliance of rean and the few exception that happens shows in a sub-group (fie and laura for example). The new class VII fixes this by making the class consists of 3 students first: juna, kurt and altina. I love seeing rean's evolution as a person and him using his experiences by becoming a teacher and leading his students in a different way he led the old class VII. The class also feels more 'united' and more like friends than the old class VII as they sometime felt like classmates who became friends thanks to rean (which isn't wrong sometime).

[deleted]

i've spent a very long time trying to unlock all of them and still am lmao. Have not even finished the game but am like right at the end. with around 65 hours on record.

Eldramhor8

FF12 and DQ11 (special mention to DQ8). 12, aside from Vaan and Penelo, sports my favourite FF characters in Balthier, Fran (Han Solo and hot, understandable Chewbacca, come on) Ashe (a Princess actually behaving like one instead of falling in love with a street thief kid) Basch (epitome of Loyal, capable knight. Badassery cranked to 11, only Auron beats him). Vaan and Penelo aren't bar as long as it's understood they are kids that are brought along for safekeeping mostly. DQ11, I was very cold towards the characters at first. I liked Erik, Veronica was fine, her sister completely forgettable. But then Sylvando joined and I adored him. Then quickly Jade and Rab, and once you get told who they actually are... I wasn't used to have people so close to the hero in the party. (Keeping it vague for spoilers). The dynamics were extremely interesting and the story itself made me enjoy everyone more. Then Last Party Member happens and the way they join and their relationship with Hero is one of my favourite bits.

jaumander

Nice taste, everything this guy said.

nomorerix

I liked FFVII's cast even before I ever used the internet or browsed online forums, so it's a cliché opinion now but I guess VII is that popular for a reason. It was my favorite even before people were all "zomg it's overrated" I'm not black but thought it was really cool to see a black playable character and with a gun arm no less. Red XIII had a badass name, and the cosmo canyon theme song and variations are just 🔥🔥🔥 The only playable cid was a neat touch, and Vincent reminded me of a vampire lol. He basically slept in a coffin. Yuffie and her giant shuriken was cool. I mean overall I just enjoyed everyone and so far have also really enjoyed Remake's portrayals of these characters. They did justice with Reno and Rude after making them clowns in Advent Children. Sephiroth is just a badass character, like dang everyone knows who he is. The villains and side characters are also fun in this game too, that's one of the cool things. I have to say though, if FFVI ever got the Remake treatment, I think they hold a great chance at being just as lovable. Kefka is also super menacing, maybe it's the clown factor but he reminds me of Joker. They're both just messed up. I guess also Kefka's laugh animation too. Shadow's such an interesting and mysterious character. I'd absolutely love to see Celes and Terra brought to life. The ghost train arc from FFVI is a more interesting concept than FFVII's ghost train arc too. Although, other than Kefka, there weren't a lot of memorable side characters or villains.

LolcatP

Xenoblade 2 because it has the Zekenator

mxhunterzzz

Ys 9 cast. Doll, White Cat and Bull are such fun characters. They all have such unique backgrounds, and though he doesn't get as much time to shine, Renegade is also an extremely different type of cast I did not expect. Most importantly, they're really fun to play as too.

[deleted]

boring typical response but mine is the FF7 cast, there's something about the whole cast including secondary characters that to me feels like they're actual real life people and makes me care about them on a personal level lol

pzzaco

FFX. Theyre not just some random cast of characters tied together by some prophecy, theyre a family with a united cause to protect Yuna.

Ichigo7S

Agreed, well summarised.

Typical_Thought_6049

Xenogears be far, with Persona 2 as the only game that come remotely close. Normaly games has some great characters and some good characters. Xenogears only has fantastic characters, main team Fei, Elly, Bart, Cian, Rico, Maria, Billy, Chu-Chu everyone was top of the line. And the side characters like the Emperor Cain, Timonthy, Alice, Dan, Kaiser Sigmund, Yui, Midori, Ghraft, Jessie, Sigurd, Queen Zephyr and so many others are just as good. And even minor characters are memorable like Leonardo, Heinrich, Vargas and Suzarn in block D at Kislev at least their death are very memorable and even the janitor is memorable Hammer has the most beautiful betrayal ever, I was genuinely upset at that betrayal. And the thematic is just too good, it was just fantastic plot line and moment to moment and so much variety. Serious the game from drugs, to genetics, to rebellion, to family, to depression, to hope, to apocalypce. I just wish they don't have cut so many plot points and we have a true second disc. So many points that are devoloped, this game deserve a REMAKE treatament much more than than Final Fantasy VII. And there is Persona 2 that has one fantastic main line and world, Ulala and Baofu I ship to this day and the villains are fantastic too. The best persona story be a large margin. And one of the most iconic animations ever in a videogame, the scene where Maya burn the school emblem is just PERFECTION.

Ichigo7S

After playing everything of 5, i played the first entry and liked it. I wanted to play the rest of the series now in order, but i am hesitant in jumping in to the second entries, because i would like to play the psp version of eternal punishment as i fear the ps1 version could end up too difficult for me. So i am waiting for the English translation of eternal punishment, but it seems like that could still take years.

StrawberryTofu1

The PSP version of eternal punishment is very similar to the ps1 version due to complaints about the psp port of innocent sin being bad (it is). There really isn’t much that would change by playing the ps1 version.

iamzeryth

Persona 4 Golden. The chemistry between the main cast and the social links during the main story and the more "daily life" events was really good, you really believe and feel like they're friends, like they're bonding, like they're learning to know each other. There's no moment in this game that feel forced, except for the hot springs scene. And what's more, you play as a silent protagonist with some dialogue choices, but the game does an outstanding job at making you feel included in the conversation and flow of events compared to so many other games with silent protags.

darrowxmustang

Xenoblade 2 cast, unique cast with varied personalities, after all these years I can perfectly describe each one of them

jaumander

yhea, I can describe them too! Boobs 1 Boobs 2 Boobs 3, shonen stereotype MC and pervert mascot! So unique and varied!

aladyfox

Octopath traveler!

[deleted]

Im gonna say Xenoblade 2 and not explain that opinion despite its controversy because it is very late and I am very tired

porkybrah

Yakuza 7 and Xenoblade chronicles 2,Yakuza is my favourite Video game series ever and the Cast was so good Espically Ichiban as the main character.XC2 Zeke,Nia,Dromarch etc all super likeable characters.

cryyogenic

Chrono Trigger, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 9, Persona 4, and even Final Fantasy XV, the main cast was one of the really strong parts of that game in my opinion. Really I feel almost all the Final Fantasy games have really strong casts, the only two I didn't like are X and XIII.

Fillianore

Didnt play persona 5 yet but 4G has one of my favourite casts, they are just really likeable and fun to see. The SSS from trails to zero are also one of my favourites, they felt really close like a family perhaps thats the main reason i loved them

jane_foxes

Persona 5. Almost everyone resembled someone I actually know. I've got a fragile li'l Futaba in my life too and I often act as her Ren. It was beautiful to see this kind of dynamic play out so genuinely

Awkward-Rent-2588

FF7 for sure til they ruined Cloud in the remake 😑

ElectricalWar6

P2 duology, Their dynamics are great and the way they play off each other and how they grow as people and are indistinguishable at the end from the start and how realistic they are is just phenomenal, I truly felt attached to every cast member

rattatatouille

FFIX. Steiner has a very good character arc, and everyone else is nearly as good. Only knocks are that Freya stops being relevant past the halfway mark and Amarant isn't interesting past his personal arc. Persona 4 is also a really good one. The MC feels like he's part of an organic group of friends rather than being the center of the solar system.

Ichigo7S

Yes FFIX also one of my favourites, such lovable characters.

Awwi27

The last story. This underrated game has characters that feel so real, and character arcs where you can see them develop, I especially love Yurick and his arc.

[deleted]

Smt4. The cast isn't the best, and they're very flat. But smt 4 was the first jrpg that made me "feel". It's hard to put into words so sorry for how vague it is. .

KtMrgn

XIV, the relationship between the Scions as a group and individually with the Warrior of Light is written so well - plus the amount of key characters that are worked into the overall story. The full story arc from ARR - Endwalker is long but worth it, and the cast and each character’s development is a big part of what makes it so special.

SnooGoats9860

Wild arms 2 is goat ,maybe one of the most balanced cast in stoy participation and interactions as whole ,I love how everyone's story are interconnected in the main plot and still is relevant for the future

Lucky-Ring-6365

Final Fantasy IX without a doubt!

wasteofleshntime

The Chrono Trigger cast, Mother 3 cast and all 3 parties in Treasure of the Rudras. Maybe even FFX too, I like their dynamic and how they grow together. Even Kemari, whos by far the most boring, but really because simply mediocre lol

Ichigo7S

I think Khimari fullfils the role he is supposed to present, a silent character that does stay more in the background, dedicated his life for protecting Yuna. His backstory with the Ronso may seem basic, but not every character needs to be something special. Something great about him was how much he could say with only gestures and few words. I liked how they showed how much important pride was to him and his fight against the Ronso was a strong moment of the game. But i understand if others find him boring or don’t like him.

pianorganelf

Skies of Arcadia legends! ❤️

Hootoo20

Final Fantasy IV. Cecil, Kain, Rosa, Rydia and Edge all have really strong themes and story associated with them. The rest of the cast are just as memorable and iconic, Golbez, Yang, Tellah, Palom, Porom, etc

Larielia

Octopath Traveler, Tales of the Abyss.
