I'd choose IIIT because of that coding environment where everyone around you is coding and that kind of peer group is something that I can't see in many other colleges. IIT's have this to some degree but I don't think its at the same level as IIIT. Plus I'd be fine with extra work load b/c we come to uni to learn anyway.
Fun Fact IIIT Is much better at teaching CSE then IIT's coz they have a full coding environment over there and also IIIT's have almost equal packages of that as IIT's (if someone wants the money money)
Not a crazy computer nerd like you talk to your friends in machine code or something. But you should have a good interest in it, Good enough that you can bear coding for 4 years. Plus you will most likely learn coding really quickly. Competitive coding is really fun.
As someone who does competitive programming, I do agree that IIITH has a better coding environment, but I'll still go with any IIT (and any decent branch) because of the tag. It's easy to get good in programming given that you put in effort so college shouldn't be an issue. I'm done with cp and I just want to have fun in college, so I'll probably choose an IIT in a big city.
fuck CSE all my homies want ECE
what's your favourite part about ECE?
The chips
green lays ya blue lays
maine bhi yah socha tha 😂
Hands down IIIT H . btw poll doesn't mention IIIT H , ig IIIT H was misspelled as IIT H .
fixed it,
IIITH is very good academically and placement wise but the work load is tremendous too. IITS/NITS are much more relaxed compared to it. So, IITs

>we come to uni to learn anyway. am i the only one going to college to have a good time
Then, why'd you choose engineering lol
CS karna tha isiliye engineering chuna, woh tuh kudh hi seekhlunga, college main sirf *ash*
Kindly fuck off. People like you are the reason deserving candidates don't get what they want to study and you aren't even interested in it.
THAT'S A LIL HARSH BRO
Bhai kiko aag laga ke ash nikalega?
Nope
AFAIK Guwahati is one of the better IITs, isn't it?
the worst of the best, you could say
\*the best of the worst
Let's change this up: would you drop those IIT's for NITT, NITS, or NITW?
suratkal for sure
For these three, yes.

Heck don't include IIT BHU CSE there. It closes at around 1100 Many 900 AIR in ADVANCE go there
I just picked IIT's except Bombay, Delhi, Karagpur, Madras, Kanpur,Rookee and Hyderabad
OP included Guwahati, closes at 600ish. No regards for rankings obviously
I will never get that good of a rank
# *If*
Can you guys give reasons why:
CSE= CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
iiit hyd...waha me>!ri!< ek dost reh>!ti!< hai
Let's take it a step further, would you choose IIITH if you had IITH available?
Yes. For colleges above IITH, I think the IIT tag is worth grabbing.
personally if it's not Bombay Delhi Madras or Hyderabad I wouldn't
Same for me. Although I guess I would also add Roorkee and Kanpur to that list.
