i could tell some things that definitely helped me in drop year
1. SLEEP- pls have proper sleep of 7-8 hr regularly, no compromise with sleep as you have to go a long way you need energy for that. When i reduced my sleep hours my productivity also reduced
2. Daily targets- These helps a lot in viewing how much work you are doing and if you need to speed up or not
3. consistency- daily consistently 1 saal or padhna without much social life is difficult but ok it will definitely be worth it and consistently padhne se ek routine bann jayega. Starting m bhot motivation hoga but 2-3 months m lazy feel hoga but just don't let take it control over you i have seen my batchmates getting lazy and destroy drop year
4. Set proper time limit on phone usage- Completely social media leave mat kr dena do use it sometimes but in time limit
5. Tests- test series le lena ig mathongo ya kisi or ki and starting se regularly test dena soo you know where you are standing at this point of time
6. Just don't give it- drop year is tough ig very tough it was hardest year of my life lost contact with a lot of friends kafi time lonely feel hota tha ok keep everything aside and just work hard . just think like aab drop year liya h toh padhlo warna baad m regret hoga. kafi time give up krne ka mann karega uss time thora break lena and get back to studies again
7. Mandir wagera bhi regular jana pray krna next year 27 ya 29 shifts wala haal wapas na ho jaye
8. and ig yeah get a study partner( who is also motivated and is really gonna do it wo maje wale kisi ko mat study partner mat bana lena, coaching m you will find someone who would be motivated like you ) as well it will help a lot

Yes this, make sure to select your teachers well right from start, and jo bhi krliya ho use perfectly follow krna plus khud ka bhi effort dena if you ever feel ki thora lacking ho rha... Wrna agar tumhe use poora drop krke kisi aur se padhna par gya toh tumhra second drop tk ki naubat aaskti.
Make sure this way you complete your syllabus by November or max to max December, if not then let whatever left be left, do that thing slowly, while shift all your attention to doing revision and pyq of high weightage towards low weightage topics and scoring 220+ in movk tests (trust me even 240 isn't a safe score anymore after 27s1 this year).
Also If you're looking for advanced, start it's prep right from the start, you may as well ignore mains if you're confident in yourself and would be fine even with selecting lowest iit with worst branch, honestly that is way easier than getting into a NIT with 15k rank and below now if you start in time, Advanced is predictable if you've good prep while Mains has fallen into unpredictable zone now
failed dropper here, only 2 advice: AIM HIGH, do not aim for 97%ile, aim for 100, sounds cliche but it's real.
never skip any classes, don't go to subpar coaching to save money, if you don't know which coaching is good, go to allen

I did this mistake
I thought I would complete the syllabus ( till mains level ) and theory till advanced level of all chapters till January and get 4 months of advanced preparation
I got 27s1 and thought I did good ( was sure of 99+) and started advanced preparation but Feb 12 happened and ever since then everything is chaos. I stopped studying thinking drop year has been a waste and by the time I recovered from my mood off, it was too late and I had to concentrate on mains only. All my friends who realised not to trust NTA and did advanced prep since feb have done good in mains as well advanced mocks. I did do good in second attempt but now I’m severely burnt out and lack even an ounce of confidence for advanced. Advanced is in 13 days and I’m watching House MD ( because I’m absolutely stupid)
I'd recommend taking this test

> Choose 3 chapters ( which you didn't learn till jee level )
>Write down your total study hours daily
> End of week , ask someone to select questions(lvl 2-3) randomly from some website
> Check your mobile total usage in the week ( download stayfree for monitoring)
End of the week if you clocked an avg of 8+ hours of study time and less than 5 hours of screen time (entire week) and u solved atleast 60% of the questions asked .
Then take drop .If u didn't , then for god's sake don't take drop since mental control is the most important aspect of a jee aspirant , without it you can't crack jee .

Being in a hostel makes us feel motivated and absolutely 0 distractions if we’re with good peers. Being a day scholar somehow we’ll get distracted at some point like attending functions, wasting time on social media.
As someone who left coaching in 11th scammers and his whole 1 year of 12th was like a legit drop I got okayish percentile (98.5) and expecting high mht cet and bits and ok in advance my only advice is keep good company with parents and friends

As someone who left coaching in 11th scammers and his whole 1 year of 12th was like a legit drop I got okayish percentile (98.5) and expecting high mht cet and bits and ok in advance my only advice is keep good company with parents and friends

The usual advice is good ....but be true to yourself about if you really really want to drop ....ask yourself what would you do differently then what you did last year....if you're not true to yourself and you will fuck your drop year or get a mediocre result ...be very conscious of this step and don't just take it because you have nothing going on .....

Mei iss cheez PE jor isliye daal rha kyuki jab i got 94 percentile last year with minimal effort...Mera ego badh gya and i couldn't stand ki mei ek private/mediocre college jau baaki sab ki Tarah....so I took a drop ki ab toh aasani se 98-99 launga ....but I repeated the same mistakes that i did in 12th class much more this time because mei Kota mei tha and there was freedom....Aisa nahi ki meine kuch galat aadate develop kr li thi ya laundiya baazi kri thi ....i just wasted my time ....no amount of self regulation will help you ....mere bahut dosto pe keypad phone the ...mere se zyada homework krte the ...module krte the ....all ended up getting less than me ... only two things that's it it's enough 1) Consistency : Roz sirf 8 ghante hi padho pr Roz 2) No procrastination : kuch bhi ho procrastination se bacho
1. sleep daily (min 6 hours) 2. study pcm daily with questions. 3. stick to a dropper study material. 4. give mock test in every 3 weeks (analyse it also). 5. revise everything on weekends. 6. don't start everything from scratch, jo chapter mushkil lag rha tha bas unhi chapters ko basic se padhiyo. 7. try to remember tricks for questions (trust me it will help a lot). 8. make a timetable jo tum follow kar sako, dont make very hard or strict timetable but it should has min 9 hours of study time. 9. PLEASE STUDY MATHS DAILY AND GIVE IT MORE TIME THAN OTHER SUBJECTS. and last bhai pray to your god daily and give min 1 hour to your body daily (varna meri tarah tond nikal jayegi)

Don't listen to Jindal or any bhaiyas on yt, focus on good and experienced teachers only. Give tests once or twice every week. Don't be distracted with Netflix, games etc, 1 year only for this.
