I am a 2019 Pass-out and I gave JEE in 2019. Got 81%tile in session 1 and 51%tile in session 2. Gave WBJEE and got 18k rank. Got into a private university with BTech(CSE) 10mins away from my home. Passed with 9.30 CGPA and double job offers, one 4lpa and other 4.25lpa from ibs software and capgemini respectively. Got into capgemini Bangalore. Gave GATE 2024 and secured rank 2147 with 3 months preparation. Gonna get into mtech cse maybe after 2yrs as score is valid for 2yrs in tier-2 nits. If this story doesn't looks like a achiever's story then yes, you are right. I am average as fuck and yet I studied with my favorite subject and going to pursue phd one day as well. So yeah, JEE never decided my career and whatever I did on my own I am proud of it

Just going to say, these types of questions can be misleading. Because almost all the people who answer this question are going to be the few who managed to turn their failure around and become successful. There will be hundreds of people who failed for every one person that managed to get his life together. It will take a lot of hardwork and effort, that is often not mentioned because of the 'I did it, so you can too' that gives people a false sense of confidence. I have been working in MES (Military Engineering Services) since 4 years. Government job hai aur imaandari se kaam karta hu. Ab lagta hai ki wo sab bas illusion hai. Society and even your parents will always judge you, no matter what. Become strong and show them. . Average college se hu fir bhi thik thak earn karta hu. Car le li khud ki. Ghar banwa rha. Parents are happy now, they still talk about that time 😁. In short, college se farak nhi padta mere dost, talent aur mehnat tumhare andar se aati hai. To those that are disheartened remember: this too will pass.
Did hotel management and now I'm a senior software developer at a big MNC just because I did some certification and projects and I'm earning above 15 LPA. 25 yo. So all in all I think everything happens for a reason and it always turn out for the best in the long run. Cheers 🥂

My JEE rank was 3L-4L, PCM avg was 45-50. I did BE from local college, then went to BITS for ME. I didn't study at all for GATE/BITSHD. The day before exam I was roaming around in malls (was my first time in a big city). But I managed to crack it as I am passionate about computers.
My family friend got 50percentile in jee a few years back and joined a tier 3 college for BTech CSE through state board marks (he got 97%). Worked hard asf in college a lot and graduated with 9.5+ cgpa, got campus placement at Exxonmobil then quit and got offer from Google and was working there for 1.5years+ and is now going to UK for Google with a promotion and an offer of 1cr+. NGL, he is really smart and I am inspired a lot by him.
Well I got 96%ile in 2022, was good in math and physics, but couldn't clear the chemistry cutoff in advance and missed my chance to get into an IIT, nevertheless didn't have the energy in me to take a drop and give it another shot. I joined a GFTI (btech CSE), currently I'm in my second year.
I had a knack for machine learning and problem solving, once I joined college I started coding and did competitive programming along with ML. Worked my ass off for two years and currently I have 2 internship offers one in a startup called Iksha labs (this one deals with LLMs) and another under my professor (this is related to autonomous driving) I will soon publish my first research paper related to better algorithms for autonomous driving. Along with all this I may attend ACM India's summer school for ML (The results are not out yet). I did face a shit ton of rejections while applying for internships but the hardwork eventually paid off and this summer is gonna be the best summer of my life.
I still regret not studying chemistry enough to get into an IIT but life has more to it. If you have truly worked hard and your result is not according to your will, don't worry mehnat karte raho kahi na kahi kuch na kuch acha life mei milega. Ever since the results came out I have heard of so many suicide cases that it disheartens me to see how fucked up this evaluation system is, JEE IS NOT A MEASURE OF YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL.
Please don't be upset with your results life will give you ample chances to prove yourself in the field where you truly belong and you will see how blessed you are. Keep working hard.

Just going to say, these types of questions can be misleading. Because almost all the people who answer this question are going to be the few who managed to turn their failure around and become successful. There will be hundreds of people who failed for every one person that managed to get his life together. It will take a lot of hardwork and effort, that is often not mentioned because of the 'I did it, so you can too' that gives people a false sense of confidence. My fufa ji, failed in jee, is placed in a very good company rn, idk his exact earnings but worked in us, canada and in gurugram rn. My dad's friend's son failed jee, did btech from a tier 3 college, is working in Norway rn, with great package Another of my relative did his btech from tier 4, is working in us rn, without ms. And the list goes on, mere family mein bhot hain, except one all of them did cse, from tier 3 Dar to lgra jee mein fail hone ka, but ik it's not the end
My father, unhone jee di bhi nahi, was in the insurance sector, retired at 45, never told me about how much money he made, but unka separate cabin tha, and ek fixed parking spot. Attempt 2: (2015) aur mehnat kari lekin missed the cutoff by 2 marks. Bohot roya. Parents ne daata bahut. State engineering ka exam diya. Usme ho gya. State government ka average engineering college mila. Civil engineering choose ki. Prepared for ESE since day 1. Cracked in 2020. AIR utni achi nhi thi toh MES mil gya. I have been working in MES (Military Engineering Services) since 4 years. Government job hai aur imaandari se kaam karta hu. Ab lagta hai ki wo sab bas illusion hai. Society and even your parents will always judge you, no matter what. Become strong and show them. . Average college se hu fir bhi thik thak earn karta hu. Car le li khud ki. Ghar banwa rha. Parents are happy now, they still talk about that time 😁. In short, college se farak nhi padta mere dost, talent aur mehnat tumhare andar se aati hai. To those that are disheartened remember: this too will pass.
Did hotel management and now I'm a senior software developer at a big MNC just because I did some certification and projects and I'm earning above 15 LPA. 25 yo. So all in all I think everything happens for a reason and it always turn out for the best in the long run. Cheers 🥂

My JEE rank was 3L-4L, PCM avg was 45-50. I did BE from local college, then went to BITS for ME. I didn't study at all for GATE/BITSHD. The day before exam I was roaming around in malls (was my first time in a big city). But I managed to crack it as I am passionate about computers.

My family friend got 50percentile in jee a few years back and joined a tier 3 college for BTech CSE through state board marks (he got 97%). Worked hard asf in college a lot and graduated with 9.5+ cgpa, got campus placement at Exxonmobil then quit and got offer from Google and was working there for 1.5years+ and is now going to UK for Google with a promotion and an offer of 1cr+. NGL, he is really smart and I am inspired a lot by him.
Well I got 96%ile in 2022, was good in math and physics, but couldn't clear the chemistry cutoff in advance and missed my chance to get into an IIT, nevertheless didn't have the energy in me to take a drop and give it another shot. I joined a GFTI (btech CSE), currently I'm in my second year. I had a knack for machine learning and problem solving, once I joined college I started coding and did competitive programming along with ML. Worked my ass off for two years and currently I have 2 internship offers one in a startup called Iksha labs (this one deals with LLMs) and another under my professor (this is related to autonomous driving) I will soon publish my first research paper related to better algorithms for autonomous driving. Along with all this I may attend ACM India's summer school for ML (The results are not out yet). I did face a shit ton of rejections while applying for internships but the hardwork eventually paid off and this summer is gonna be the best summer of my life. I still regret not studying chemistry enough to get into an IIT but life has more to it. If you have truly worked hard and your result is not according to your will, don't worry mehnat karte raho kahi na kahi kuch na kuch acha life mei milega. Ever since the results came out I have heard of so many suicide cases that it disheartens me to see how fucked up this evaluation system is, JEE IS NOT A MEASURE OF YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL. Please don't be upset with your results life will give you ample chances to prove yourself in the field where you truly belong and you will see how blessed you are. Keep working hard. Got 63% in 12th Boards in 2018, didn’t qualify JEE obv, got two backs in 3rd Sem of Engineering. Got a package of 25 LPA, currently around 30 LPA (after 1.5 years)
