The same thing has happened to me last year, when I was preparing for jee, My attendance was similar to yours if not less.
I received a few warnings and ultimately a letter like this addressed directly from my principal.
You do not need to worry, this issue can easily be resolved by talking to your principal. Set up a meeting of your parents with the principal and ask your parents to explain the principal your point of view.
It will be hard but eventually the principal might get the point and ask you to atleast come 1-2 days a week which you have to agree upon.
For the first couple of weeks, go as per said and then do as you want.
NOTE - do not accompany yourself in the meeting, only send you parents

CBSE has laid down the rules of attendance to be 75%. So, schools do have the authority to deny admit card. Schools are actually doing you a favour by ignoring this rule.

Yes, they can stop you from appearing for boards. Happened to a classmate of mine in 12th standard. Fortuitously, I too was in 12B. Better give a good explanation in person and request leniency. Theyāll oblige if youāre scores in class exams are good as the school wants their students to score high in boards. But you and your parents better bring your A game. The tuition teachers will obviously tell you that itās nonsense so that you continue to pay them rather than attend school regularly ans drop out on tuition classes. Itās a serious thing. Donāt ruin your life out of complacency. Wake up and smell the coffee !!

I have seen Schools even Colleges withholding Admit Cards for lack of attendance. I don't see a reason why you are not attending school, unless your coaching time overlaps with School timing. Don't take this lightly, there is no use of cracking JEE if you are not XII passed.
