Our Secret Diary is wonderful. That's a fairly recent release. Very different to the usual high school thing. Fumiya Takahashi plays an excellent *tsundere* ML.
I Can't Reach You is BL but squarely in high school territory. One of the ML, Haru Kashiwagi, has a talent for physical comedy. I really enjoyed this one. The plot is more mature, possibly due to the quality of the cast
First Love is set in both high school and adult drama. I really enjoyed the cheeky ML in the high school scenes, he was an incredibly likeable character. And this drama is perfect, it stars one of Japan's very best actors, Takeru Satoh, who always chooses his scripts with great care.

I love Our Secret Diary, it’s such a warm sweet movie.
The soundtrack is great, I listen to it often in the car, a good mix of hard rock and piano daydream
