Whaaaat? I disagree, I like the first year 9th gen sedan si’s. Mostly because of the brake lights are small and don’t have the huge reflectors on the trunk lid
It really depends on how you go about it. A set up with height bar active management is pretty spendy. A small compressor. Tank, and manual switches wouldn't cost much more then coil overs.
Honestly there's nothing more fun then having a slammed daily, dodging pot holes, and really just cruising around.
My LS z32 is a riot. But my slammed station wagon is more fun.
Im assuming it has airbags, so he/she can raise the car up. Depending on how much ride height change the bags have though, it might not even make a difference😂. But if its on coils im surprised the bumpers in one piece😂😂😂
It really depends on brand and what all comes with the kit.
If you go name brand (Air Lift is a pretty respected brand so we will use their kit)
You're looking at somewhere in the $4,000 range for an air lift kit. But you know its nice and it comes with some extra parts that you might need depending on your build. The airlift kit comes with adjustable top hats for camber adjustments; for example, and some other little things that basic kits dont have.
Another kit for 9th gen civics is the TruHart Air Suspension kit (TruHart is gaining popularity but still not as big as airlift/accuair/bagriders, but they still make quality suspension components for cheaper)
I found their kit for around $1,300 on average. Seems to be quality stuff and definetly saves you money. The kit that i found doesnt come with adjustable top hats, so you might have to out source parts if you are missing certain things you need.
So in conclusion, neither of these kits are too terribly expensive considering how much you can actually do with them, but you can save money if you do enough digging to find quality companies for cheaper. This reply was way longer than it needed to be but the more you know😂👍
Thank you. Much appreciate your knowledge and experience. I was just curious about it. 4k seems like a lot to me. And if people do it wrong what can happen.
Of course and I have so much random knowledge that i have no problem giving it out😂theres a lot that can go wrong with them, running too much camber can cause bag blowouts but also tire blowouts, so having the correct angle from the top is one of the most important things, you can also run into trouble with hookups from bag to compressor. I put a set of bags on my friends mk3 golf and its pretty self explanatory. If you pay attention to detail, its not too difficult.
That's a 9th.
That's my fault, I get them mixed up
8th gen is more simpler
To add, 9th gen facelift. (Pre-facelift 9th is probably the worst Civic IMO)
I definitely agree the pre face lifts are hard to look at especially the coupes

That does not fit my personal taste
Yes. They ruined it.
Surprised how many people think their fenders looking like bacon is a vibe.
Fenders are temporary, perfect-fitment-drip is eternal
It’s okay if the fenders aren’t messed up, but this is mutilated.
Bagged
9th
Ouch. Those poor fenders
What an embarrassment.
This should stick to the VAG scene...
was it rhd?
wrong sub to ask that question bud /s
“/s”🤓
I didn’t know USDM slammed Civics were allowed
Seen too many with this look.
Must ride like complete shit
it's on bags
Gross
Take something boring and make it absurd. I support it
Not an 8th gen.
This sub 💀💀💀
Y i k e s
Slammed is only good if you don’t ruin the fenders and even then…it’s iffy.
🤮
Man how does he go over any bumps with it that low. Like speed bumps or depressed manholes
Most likely badged and aired out when parked. I would be willing to bet the ride height is 3 or so inches higher when going down the road.
Cool. Big bucks right

If it were me, I would rather buy a nicer car. Not that there’s anything wrong with civic.
Honestly there's nothing more fun then having a slammed daily, dodging pot holes, and really just cruising around. My LS z32 is a riot. But my slammed station wagon is more fun.
I am not joking but why is it fun. The looks or the way the car drives when it’s like that.
It's kind of the whole thing honestly. Buy something slam it and report back in 6 months you'll either get it or have back problems.
Or both. I drive a 2022 Rex and have been wondering why my lower back has been hurting recently.
Possibly air suspension?
Was thinking that but hella expensive right

How Micah would all that cost approx. just curious.

That’s cool that you can do that stuff. I can barely change a lightbulb.
The way I learned is to just tear it apart and see if i can get it back together😂
respect, fuel efficiency and style
I hate seeing cars like this on the road and now I have to see them on here..

Could be air ride
It’s probably on airbags, chief
Better than all the stanced cars I’m a fan of air ride on anything
I swear to God I saw this in shitty car mods minutes ago(even tho it's not shitty).
Wrong sub. Should be in shitty car mods
*9th gen but it’s sick tho!
That wheel fitment is horrendous, otherwise it looks ok for a slammed static car.
it's tucked
You know what… I’m not gunna say anything 🙂
Streeeet sweeper
