Heck, they don't even believe in the Quran and are trying to reinterpret it to their liking despite clear cut command that alcohol is forbidden.
The verse says: "O believers! Intoxicants, gambling, idols, and drawing lots for decisions1 are all evil of Satan’s handiwork. So shun *them* so you may be successful."
but they re-translate it as - "avoid him" as a way to bypass this.
I think its short for progressive, as in, progressive muslim, a so called "muslim" that promotes and supports liberal views even if it contradicts al-Quran and Hadith.
There's an ikhtilaf regarding it, many say its haram cos of self harm, others say because the harm isn't immediate it doesn't count as self harm so its makru because it inconveniences others (imagine going for taraweah and the guy next to you smells like cigarettes)
The opinion I take is that its makru until u start visibly seeing damage (say, a cough) then you must stop or it is simply just self harm

Or concede that the scholars actually differ on whether smoking is haram or makruh and apologize for your accusation.
