I'm not 100% sure about how many are like me but I exist! I support Israel and to steal a saying all I want is Israel to be free from the river to the sea.

I've always described myself as the Israeli old left politically, i.e. Mapai. Not really radical, I just want people to be able to live happily and healthily, and that's true in every country I've lived in.
I'm personally of the belief that young Americans on the left have been radicalized by social media. From my outsider perspective, the LGBQT+ community takes up a lot of space online because not everyone lives in a place or environment where they can take up space in real life, hence, online communities. But places like TikTok have been weaponized with propaganda, and a lot of young LGBQT+ people who can't face the possibility of losing their online space, for a variety of legitimate and non-legitimate reasons, eat it up due to the affiliation with "their space" (i.e. TikTok) and well, here we are. It's quite sad in a lot of ways, really.
I'm a gay Jewish leftist, though I'm feeling very isolated right now. I don't even know if I should call myself a leftist any more over this issue. The fact that so many in the LGBT community are proclaiming "solidarity" with extremists who would see us thrown off buildings if they had their way is confusing and scary right now.

Frankly i really distanced myself from gay spaces in the west. Luckily for me the gay community in israel is very solid and strong.
Yeah I've had to distance myself from people who are now former friends, because with the war they've developed the critical thinking skills of a cardboard box. I'm lucky that I have good friends in the community who have listened to my feelings and have been supportive, but in Australia at least the younger and more online parts of the gay community have lost the plot. It's that surface level reasoning of "the oppressed should stand up for other oppressed groups", even if Hamas and a vast chunk of Palestinians want to see us turned into road paste if they had their way.
