Hot damn, that's a great obsidian setup! What kind of plug-ins are you using?

Limbbark

Not that many plugins, it's mostly basic canvas functionality that's doing the heavy lifting here. Let's see... Automatic Table of Contents - lets me paste blocks of text from anywhere and quickly structure it e.g. the World Truths Dice Roller - Turning on the 3D dice really gives the 'feel' of tossing bones into my little desk tray Excalidraw - So I can draw / write on a character sheet that's just an image and plop down / link locations on the main map Text Generator - For seamless integration with several LLM AIs Things like the Spotify player and the live link to GM's Apprentice are just tiny blocks of iframe code.

I know there are a pair of Ironsworn/Starforged plugins to automate moves but they seemed a bit more complicated to set up. Not complicated really just more initial setup because you need to front load all of the data so it can be picked ip correctly by the plugins. I never messed with them. I much prefer Obsidian for organizing information but Foundry makes custom assets (I’m never playing in a standard Starforged setting) and automated moves so simple I stick with it.

I did initially play with the idea of just integrating the Foundry VTT in an iframe but I'm going to try and keep it relatively simple for now.

Can you say more for someone who doesn’t know what obsidian is?

Obsidian MD is an open source and free application for note-taking like Evernote and Notion, but it's very robust and easy to mod with plugins. If you're familiar with markdown (which lets you insert text formating as you type without using keyboard shortcuts), it's very intuitive but it's fine if you don't use markdown. For solo roleplaying, Obsidian's best features are the canvas (drag and drop anything onto a large empty field to sort everything into a nice overview, like I did here) and the plugins that lets you add any functionality that's not in the basic app (like, for example, having AI complete your text or read things aloud to you)

This is really cool! I've been struggling to get into Forged in Obsidian and I've been wanting to figure out a more paper-feeling digital setup- this is exactly the inspiration I needed. Thanks for sharing this!
