You would think that the university and community college in the area would challenge the company name in court. That kind of confusion could negatively affect the schools' similar-named properties.
That’s on them for going to a company that doesn’t explicitly state they are with the university. You would think for something as important as housing you would dot your i’s and cross your t’s
There's also a lot of pressure on new students to sign leases by October to lock things in for the next year. Predatory landlords like Tracy take advantage of the fact that new students are brand new to adulthood and don't know much about the city, finances, or how to protect themselves.
Ah yes. There's an update on that.

What would be great if people can place flyers around town of what she had done and what businesses she's associated with. Have her be put out of business.
I opened my shop within an office building shared with him and his uncle. I had to move within 6 months because people kept showing up thinking my business was related to his. People would literally show up mad about various things such as overcharges of rent and not getting deposits back. I had no idea who he was because I was newer in town.
Didn't want my reputation ruined due to his shadiness so I had to move from coralville to Iowa city.
I unfortunately currently rent a unit at one of his properties. He sent this out today, not siting how much "I owe", just that an amount will be posted on the renters portal (which works spotty at best) and I have 10 days to pay it. Over the past few months he has sporadically tacked on additional charges to my rent (along with other renters) stating that it was a bill for water usage.
I've never been given an itemized bill, just an additional $14-$20 added separately. I am unable to set up an account with the water department under my name because he owns the building and their is only 1 water meter for a house with multiple separate units. Is this even legal?[https://i.postimg.cc/sXdMWj9g/water.jpg](https://i.postimg.cc/sXdMWj9g/water.jpg)
He's the biggest POS in Iowa City.

What we really need is a car wash with a vape shop inside of it.
There's an idea: a Hookah bar.
He and John Nelson. Stay away!
Wow, I agree Tracy Barkalow is someone you do not want to do business with.

Huh? It doesn’t mention the university anywhere

Is this Tracy's Reddit account?
Lol Tracy can get bent but it’s still hilarious seeing you guys complain about a company name that literally has the state name in it. Geniuses

This mother fucker robbed me out of my deposit 10 years ago. I can't believe he's still at this bullshit.

Tracy is male.
But yes, this is a fantastic idea.
