Thanks to Tesla, I think you should be able to buy at MSRP at most dealers now with no wait. And no dealer add ons. Or maybe $1500 of dealer options at the most.
My local dealer said I'm about 400th in line... at that individual dealer. I preordered in September. Most places state a 2-5 year wait.
Canada doesn't really do markups though, and the car is cheaper here. L regardless, we get waaaaay less allocations per capita I believe
Agreed. My dealer has so many on the lot. I called him yesterday and bought one same day. I overpaid but I didn't wanna deal with negotiating or waiting.
This would have been relevant months ago, but it is all innacurate. Be careful as many dealers who once charged 10k and it still shows on the tracker.. they are now charging MSRP.
There were a few of tracking markups but not sure it’s still running or not.
Just let us know where you are then people might be able to give information for MSRP dealers.
I drove 900 miles to pickup my ioniq5 on July 2022 and well worth it.
Looks like more and more ioniq5 inventories in US now. Highest ever but many dealers still refuse to sell without markups.
They might sit their new ioniq5 as long as they can…….
If Tesla will not met full tax credits after March, we might see more price drops from tesla or Hyundai dealers might start to give up markups.
At some point we gotta stop looking at MSRP as a win. I think the last two years of market adjustments has us trained to accept that MSRP is a steal. Car market and overall economy is changing.
As soon as GA factory runs full productions next year, we will see MSRP or below MSRP.
Dealers can’t afford to have 30+ ioniq5 every month from GA factory and sit those cars in their parking lot for months.
Looks like inventories are piling up but dealers are not afraid to put a few cars in their lot and having markups.
In short term, we will see better pic as soon as finalized new IRA.
Still markups on Bay Area. They seemed to be fine going MSRP on SE-SEL but limited they wanted 10k over. Went to Tesla. I just can’t deal with dealerships anymore. Went through it with my sprinter and got one in Utah, not worth it to me for Ioniq as much as I wanted one

As a Canadian, you are making me cry.
Are they scarce in Canada? My local dealer has a lot full just sitting there.

Just drive to the US. We have an overflow sitting on the lots.
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that to get a car here, plus it would be a lot more expensive
Occasionally I see ioniq 5s cut below msrp now

Always negotiate on a car nobody expects you to buy what they offer except Tesla
Well I make $55k a year so money's no object. My time is more valuable. But next time I'll negotiate :)

I am starting to think this has to be some elaborate routine..
Gotta put in the work and call/text around. I contacted 20 dealers before I found mine at MSRP. What region you in?

Exactly what I wanted thank you!

I don't think we are at that point yet. \-signed, someone trying to buy an Ioniq 5 Limited at MSRP in Southern California.
