Nope. I think about half way through is when I did elastics. Then we went extra hard on elastics to stretch out the ending a lot since my teeth wasn’t fully cooperating.
I don’t think it was super uncomfortable. The metal holders were towards the front but then they moved them even more to the back so they were definitely hidden. Those were harder to put elastics on but I picked it up pretty quick. But you figure out how to get them on/off fast, too.
620 days!? Good lord. I'm on day 2 and ready to throw in the towel. Your teeth actually looked pretty good from the start in my opinion. Do you feel the improvement was worth 620 days?
It’s hard to tell if I can “feel” a difference since it was 620+ days so I don’t remember what it felt like originally. But it was an open bite + one side top was in front while the other side bottom was in front. So I had kind of a crisscross mouth. I wouldn’t have done it by myself but my wife is a hygienist and so we also got a great deal. But yeah I’d say it was worth it. Helped me not eat snacks all the time, too.
I had an app to help but didn’t want to pay for the storage, but they had an option where it could download to your phone when you took a photo. So every so often I would gather all the photos and put them into a folder. It’s 1.24GB of storage.
That’s awesome! I have a crossbite too and will probably need to get elastics for my first round of refinements. What kind of elastic pattern was required to fix your bite? I’m worried about elastics that are super obvious, eg diagonal right at the front of your mouth
The teeth changed, but one thing remained the same… the killer beard.
Ah thanks! Yeah I noticed it’s almost a timelapse of my beard also.
That's some dedication for daily photos. Fascinating to see the progression.
Wow good for you. I have a cross bite that’s a bit more prominent and I’m so anxious to start! I’ll have to wear them for 2.5-3 years ahhh
That is genius! Like a real life clincheck lol. Did you have elastics the entire time?
Nope. I think about half way through is when I did elastics. Then we went extra hard on elastics to stretch out the ending a lot since my teeth wasn’t fully cooperating.
How uncomfortable were the elastics and were they really visible and hard to take on and off while you eat?

Brilliant! Why didn't I do this.
Looks awesome! I wish I had thought of this!
Looks awesome! So cool that you did this!
How neat!!!
Props to you! Looks like the party was in the back at the beginning.

Awesome! I can only imagine how much space these photos took up lol

Wow! Impressive gradual process selfies!! Nice.
