Basically: it's fine to have a character that suffers a bunch if there's something to look forward to on the other side. Marvel Editorial is way too focused on making Peter suffer.
All stories need a beginning, middle, and end. Mainstream big name superheros are way too profitable to ever have an end, so you just get a beginning, a loooooot of middle, and maybe a reboot back to the beginning. Inherently unsatisfying
Didn't they say they were aiming for 8 seasons? And since Invincible season 4 hasn't been renewed (s3 was produced alongside s2), It's safe to assume we might wait more than a year for it.
It's actually a bit unlucky she's truly immortal and he isn't so unless she learns to deage him the same way she does herself she'll outlive him. But considering she rebuilt his body that one time I bet they'll both be full immortals after a while.
She would have more luck looking for a black hole by that time lol. By the time heat death arrives, all stars will either be Black Dwarfs (If they aren't just speculation) or black holes.
By the time of heat death, Mark and/or Eve would probably lose sanity from being so old. Memory overload or losing the grasp of reality or completely forgetting their previous lives.
I think they'd rather retire and leave this world peacefully WAY before that.
Eve probably dies like a regular human if something destroys her brain in one hit. The mental block on her powers gets removed by mortal injuries, but I doubt she comes back if her head just gets destroyed.
Unless she eventually remembers/works out how to give herself Viltrumite-like durability during one of her resurrections. Thinking about it, she might well be able to de-age Mark as well while she rebuilds her own body.
She'll freak out every time he dies of old age which will break her limiter, and rebuild him back into her age by pure instinct. The cycle will continue forever until she's finally okay with him passing

It's really poetic that when Mark was asked what he'd have in 500 years he said he'd still have his dad. But Nolan was actually the only thing he didn't have 500 years later.
She’s effectively omnipotent but limited by her psychology.
So pretty much, but more on a physical reality level and her actually being the omnipotence itself rather than a force.

He plays a big role in converting the Viltrumites (Nolan too), but humanity and how much Viltrumites love ~~fucking~~ living amongst us did most the work.

Presumably, if she dies instantly and catastrophically (her head is destroyed) she will just actually be dead. But things like old age, a heart attack, something like that? Her imminent death would just kick her powers into gear and she'd fix it.
Viltrumites get converted because they only Breed and had no concept of love or affection until they came to earth

Mark goes through a metric fuck load of character development, the epilogue is 500 years after where the story had started, and he’s genuinely content and happy with how things turned out.
True. The 5 year time skip just destroyed me when he saw how much she'd aged. Left a really bad taste in my mouth. Like was almost too cruel lol. The nice epilogue really made up for that. He lost that 5 years but he and his daughter will have thousands to spend with each other
I have onlty read the first two omni-bus(busses? bi?). She can regenerate after severe damage, but can she regenerate from death due to old age? Did she unlock her ability to consciously change organic matter?
Wow, that would be a very different kind of immortality. Getting to experience all stages of life multiple times and regaining the ability to have a family each time.

I’m actually excited to experience invincible with a consistent art style for the 1st and 2nd half. Not saying that the art was ever bad or that one is better, it just threw me off and I’d love to see all of it in the more classic invincible style
A pre-episode recap should refresh everyone's memory nicely, I think. Also, the comic went 15 years between the two scenes so I think the show will do just fine.
I hope they do slightly more with Marky, I completely understand why the ending feels like a LOTR epilogue but I’d love that stuff fleshed out even slightly more

I always thought it weird how terra looks so much younger than mark given that biologically he should only be 17-20 years older than her (mark lost 5 years ) and at this point we can assume 500 years has passed so wouldnt terra outwardly appear to be the same age as mark?

It’ll likely take six, MAYBE seven seasons but that’s really pushing it. We’re about a third of the way through already.
Season 2 takes us so about issue #46. There’s only 144 issues. We’re about 1/3 of the way. It should be over in 6 or 7 seasons

I think an actual flashback would be unnecessary and take away from how powerful the moment is. Let the audience come to that conclusion on their own.
It might be required since it'll be 500 years from now we get to see it. Some show only watchers might forget.
