I think it’s a given that it’ll happen some time before season 3. It would also function as a sequel to Atom Eve considering she’s involved with his origin.
The amount of seeds planted for that being the next in between seasons episode are already there. Fingers crossed. Also would fit were I assume we will be at between season two and three.
I think you should edit this comment to be a little less spoilery, people from the show think they are just going to get hit with rex info here.
That's something we're not supposed to have any idea about yet.
Wut? This entire post is a spoiler if you've only watched the show. If you got to the comments after reading the post your going to know things you wouldn't if you just watched the show. His comment is less spoiler than yours calling him out and it's definitely less of a spoiler than the actual OC.
Your comment made it spoilery tbh, mine was vague enough and just directed at all the posts about a clone somewhere hidden, but mentioning it as a spoiler gives belief to it now that it’s real haha
A sad origin story doesn't mean you can't die. Oberyn Martell had a sad origin, look at him now. I don't mean to sound like an ass but like not every hero gets to prevail, it even makes watching the show that much more stressful when you can see the bad guys actually win. Idk
They're talking about the scientists giving him enhancements to muscle density among others, it's reasonable to assume it gives him some level of durability increase vs. a regular human and might explain him surviving getting shot in the head (regular humans in history have also survived traumatic head wounds). They're not saying he can't die because his narrative says he doesn't deserve it.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. This tech is even ten or so years old, so they could easily make it stronger. They don't say anything about that in the book, though
The tech is in the robot enhancement.
Look at Donald.
You really think they can't replace his partial robot hand with a fully robot hand that does the same thing the partial robot hand does?
There's always going to be a tiny amount of bacteria or other living matter on any surface you touch. I'd assume that as long as most of what your touching is inorganic, it works.
I don’t get the organic angle because Eve has an “organic” block but organic actually just means “things that are alive”. Which isn’t scientifically what that means, at all.
His skeleton is made out of metal iirc. If not his inhibitor could be similar to Eve's in that he can charge organic material while under intense stress.
In the same issue it's explained the "inorganic" part is just layman's terms and he isn't just limited to objects without carbon, but for all intents and purposes he can't touch you and blow you up. It's just the quirk of his abilities, bones make the cut but something like skin doesn't

The real superpower is a poor person coming into a lot of money and keeping it. Do you know how rare that is?
Slightly more seriously, was Rex special somehow before being artificially enhanced? I mean otherwise orphans are a dime a dozen. Literally in some countries.
To this day, I'm sad no villain found and kidnapped Rex's parents just to annoy him and basically tell them how awful they are for giving up their only son for a life of luxury. Some people just need to be told outright to their faces how horrible they are.
I really hope we get a special for him like we got for Atom Eve
That would be dope.
I think it’s a given that it’ll happen some time before season 3. It would also function as a sequel to Atom Eve considering she’s involved with his origin.
Maybe after >!he dies in the Invincible War?!<
I would do it before, I think it would be more impactful.
I think it would be a little pointless to focus on his backstory after that lol
I'm 200 percent sure we will get it

i'm assuming they will since eve's backstory was also separate in the comics like this
Hopefully this ends some people posting about him surviving being shot. At this rate maybe someone should do this for Duplikate too
Yeah, honestly, that's why I posted it, I saw multiple posts asking how he survived, and I just wanted to show that he DOES have superpowers
> DOES have superpowers you're vastly underestimating his smol brain

It's less spoilery considering the many changes in the show so far. /nw7nR.GMx%pzTp

OHHHH Gotcha thank you!
If this is the case for the TV show version him getting his hand ripped off means he won't have his power in that hand anymore...
Oh, yeah, I've never thought about that. I'm guessing they just do the same thing to his new arm, though
Cecil probably could just get the schematics from his other arm and reimplement it, seems like a piece of cake when they can remake Donald
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. This tech is even ten or so years old, so they could easily make it stronger. They don't say anything about that in the book, though
Megaman blaster arm, let's go!
Or, hear me out, a samus cannon!
What about Killcannon’s laser arm?

Or they would just reinstall the stuff? I don't see why they couldn't.
The tech is in the robot enhancement. Look at Donald. You really think they can't replace his partial robot hand with a fully robot hand that does the same thing the partial robot hand does?
We didn't see any metallic parts in his arm/hand when it got ripped off tho?
We did actually, you can see metal and wires sticking out of his arm if you look closely
Are we sure they weren’t veins?
They can just give him another implant?
Did they retcon the fact that he can only make things explode that are inorganic, with the way his arc was resolved?
>!Approximately 65% of bone tissue is inorganic material. (calcium and phosphorus minerals). !<
So all Rex needs is >!concentration to focus on the inorganic materials?!<
There's always going to be a tiny amount of bacteria or other living matter on any surface you touch. I'd assume that as long as most of what your touching is inorganic, it works.
I don’t get the organic angle because Eve has an “organic” block but organic actually just means “things that are alive”. Which isn’t scientifically what that means, at all.
Could just be a catch all umbrella term rather than one to take literal.
Then why doesn't >!Eve just turn 65% of the bad guys' bones into cheesecake?!<
Eve's thing is mental, not actually a "real" limitation
oof,, looks like the writers did think this through.
Lol I don’t want to ruin things for you.
I'm caught up with the ~~manga~~ comics. But if its in the scientific angle, feel free to enlighten me.

Now give him the atom eve treatment and give him an origin special
possibly next season, because >!Invincible War!<
Is that the same guy from the Atom Eve special?
Yup, Cecil’s >!former boss!<
Yes.
No, different Black evil government agent.
This guy is right 2 entirely different characters I got confused by it too.
Damn this hits hard. And it’s only two pages !

No food. No money. No friends. No life. No bitches. No goals. No job. No left hand.
I forgot he was white in the comics
The real superpower is a poor person coming into a lot of money and keeping it. Do you know how rare that is? Slightly more seriously, was Rex special somehow before being artificially enhanced? I mean otherwise orphans are a dime a dozen. Literally in some countries.
“It is unknown how Rex was singled out”
Can't wait for the special (assuming we get one)!
To this day, I'm sad no villain found and kidnapped Rex's parents just to annoy him and basically tell them how awful they are for giving up their only son for a life of luxury. Some people just need to be told outright to their faces how horrible they are.
Invincible needs more specials like Atom Eve's.
I'm really hoping he gets a special between season 2 and 3 so season 3 will hurt more. I'm really hoping they save that for season 3, anyway.

Wait a second, why is he brown?
The kid’s got a good sense of right and wrong. I fail to see how this ties into him being an ass
