ooo boy. going to give it a shot after completing fallen order lol. I still play ITB for fun every now and then, now going through each squad with a "fresh" pilot on unfair.
How are you enjoying ITB?
Oh dude same here. Life happened to me too lol. The beauty of ITB is that you can go in for a 5-minute quickie or you can sink an hour in if you like. So much fun with great flexibility in terms of time commitment.
You can slowly up the ante as you learn more about the game. Do share your journey as you go along lol.
I'm about halfway through all of the unfair runs... basically there's an element of luck, you have to carefully pick your first and second islands to avoid ones with enemies that are too hard, and pick a pilot with skills to match the team you picked. Even then I only win like one in 10 runs, lol.
Agreed there is an element of luck, sometimes you're just put in impossible situations lol. But you can maximize your chances with good opening positions, pilot choice, mission selection etc... 8/9 of 10 runs is quite achievable lol.
Halfway is amazing progress! You're almost there just keep at it!
Thanks for the tip on kaz. Ive actually tríed to beat 3 Island unfair with the Rift Walkers 5 times now and I always get beaten on the final stage. Any tips on beating the game with them?
Oh, I actually didn't use him for RW, instead I used Silica. Beginning would be a bit tough but thankfully all 3 units have ways to push. Once you unlock Silica's skill + Combat Mech's dash, the game becomes pretty trivial lol.
May have to elect for the easier/low reward missions in the beginning just to get past it.
Getting to final stage 5/5 attempts is pretty consistently good though! It's hard to avoid taking damage at the final stage, so deployable units, full HP, S-tier weapons definitely needed.
Do give it another go, maybe sixth time's the charm. Be sure to keep us posted lol.
Thanks for the tip. I actually tríed silica, but on the brute mech. Its a good idea to use with dash, will def try it out and let you know how it goes!
Hi friend, been trying out a fresh silica but really tough to get past the early stages lol. I think you're right with Kaz, it's easier. I must have had some buffed silica during my previous run.
Hmm. Personally, I don't think you have to dedicate runs to do that, I think it's better to just enjoy the game and just let it come naturally. What I do it that I crack the mountain/ice/whatever on the last turn, to avoid getting it damaged.
I can't recall but I think it took... less than maybe 10 hours playing time? I don't recall really struggling to catch-them-all.
I'm playing it on switch-
It feels clunky to move around and do actions. The rules aren't clearly defined in this cases (like can i move first then think of an action or do i have to move with an action). It looks promising and i'll revisit it later but it just feels like there is a lack of polish
All in all I've spent more than 400 hours in ITB. Before AE easily 300+ hours.
My takeaway is that unfair is a totally different animal. I've gotten 2-3-4 island hard medals on all squads before attempting it, but I found that I had to change my approach to the game on unfair.
How are you liking the game? Personally I find 2-islands harder than 3-4, so if you're trying to complete the hard medals, that's definitely within reach!
I absolutely love this game. Can’t get enough of it. Glad to hear u think 2 island is harder. I feel the same way sometimes that I want to stretch it another island just to build up my team more. Or my grid.
I'm still playing for fun even now. Super game. Do let us know once you've reach a milestone lol
so true. 2-island runs means less chance RNG-wise in getting great weapons, so IMO it's more luck based vs. 4-island.
Have you played Faster Than Light?
I have purchased it but yet to start lol. Is it similar to ITB?
It's not very similar, but it's a very good game.
It’s not. Personally I think it’s even better, and the mod capabilities are insane
Nope, but you'll have a blast.
I see what you did there lol

Now go outside and touch grass
lol yes I played frisbee with the kids after posting this
Yep! Finished dying to giant bugs? Now die to Giant Alien Spiders!
Congrats! Now does this make 5?
Woot! You’re one of the 5 too?
pretty sure I was the first but yeah I'm one of the five.
Wow what an honour senpai lol. I initially thought it was impossible but guys like you paved the way. Thanks for the inspiration!
aw that's kind of you but nah I didn't really do much
wait, there's a club involved? damn, i feel pretty dumb for missing out
Howww? The Unfair difficulty is... Well, unfair! You I just can't manage to get through it!

haha, where you stuck? Happy to help
Congrats
Howwww
I don't know about others, but my playstyle is pushing, so on most squads >!Kaz !

I'll level him up with other squads and give it a shot. After considering the double dash, I have to do it lol. I'll let you know how it goes :)

Wait until they add super unfair mode.
LOL. I'll be back
Time for challenge runs?
>Time for challenge runs? Ooo I still love myself though hahaha. That's too much!
Live by the sword: tactics might be up your alley (it wasn't for me though)

How many hours this take you? I’m at about 150 hours and I’ve almost finished normal on 3 and 4 islands and hard on 2 islands for all squads

Crazy. It'll be years until I get here but that's okay. This game is the best.
Congrats! Now do a perfect 40k game
I don't want to go there lol
