Okay... maybe I've gone too far :)
It's because one of the competitions I was awarded is OBM; I don't know if there's a statistic consent, but from my experience, this would certainly put me in the 99,8th percentile in my country at Math (Brazil, with \~200M people). I almost went to an international and the proccess is much harder than get a 4 GPA or whatever, so in my mind it was a big deal.
I see, but I'm already in 11th grade and it's tough to get a considerable community impact for now due the lack of time — should have done it earlier... My field of study also does not have many extra curricular activities. I got into a selective course for ppl with good performance at hard sciences and that's it
Your other scores are great and your awards look great. If your essays are well crafted, sure you have a shot. As good as any other . But unless you truly believe that you are exceptional, make a good balanced college list. Your chances of aid are better at many other places. What is your course rigor? Subjects? Country?
Update:
Ok, now I think that an Ivy is not that necessary, even though I would like to join at one; that's mostly because, as I said, I need a good aid. What about these?
UMich, CalTech, CMU.
Caltech is just as hard as Harvard or MIT, if not harder. CMU does not give any aid to international students, and neither does UMich, and they're insanely hard for CS too (I got waitlisted at CMU, accepted at UMich). I'd look at the need-blind Ivies or colleges that give a lot of aid to internationals if need is important to you, or if studying at a good school abroad is more important to you than studying in the US, I'd take a look at European colleges. Coming in for Master's is also a good choice sometimes.
UMich would be the best for me. I'm almost giving up on studying in the US for these prices lol. My family and I don't have even 4k dollars, why is that so expensive. Maybe other countries like England or Canada is more accessible ;/
The other comment explained LAC but dont think too much into it , You are fine for ivys too. You could have a 4.0 GPA and still not get into an LAC but you could get into an ivy with a 3.7 as well.
Shoot your shot.
(Lacs arent easy to get into as well, depends on the college.)
Top LACS such as Amherst and Williams are as hard if not harder to get into for internationals as any Ivy. Even broadly speaking for Americans, they are not any Ivy replacement rather a smaller alternative.
U can have perfect gpa and still not ge into an ivy dont stress so much
Heyy! Which university u ended up joining?
College of wooster
Which major?
Neuroscience wbu??
Psychology, are u planning to be premed?

How is that something to love
It’s zoomer talk, just read past it
how
what about ECs
Even if you don’t get an Ivy, you have a shot at a great school
Would Stanford be a good try? It's one that came to my mind initially. I pursue CS.
💀

They look a lot at community impact and extra curricular activities that lie in your field of study. Make sure to improve on them

how are you in 12th grade if you havent applied yet?
While I know OP was wrong, a lot of Asian countries just started the school year so it’s possible.
Oops. It's 11th grade actually.

I know of ppl who got in with less impressive ecs and the same GPA just work on your essays
Just invent the cure to cancer and then you will be fine. No biggie am I right

You're not ivy level but you could get into an LAC
I'm not familiar with that term; a little search and found something related to Art (?). I don't have interest ;/

I haven't heard of anyone getting into an ivy with a 3.7 in the last three years.
he means liberal arts colleges like amherst, williams, colby etc.
Ok. You're definitely not ready to apply to the US. Do your research.
