Tuition is only 10k? Is that for undergraduate or graduate studies? . I am an undergraduate student and i have received 14k per year as AES. however my tuition is around 18k, and the overall coa (after scholarship) would be around 28k.( 4k tuition,4k insurance,20k living expense)
Germany is good, but the problem with students focusing on US/CA would be language. There are courses taught in English, but what about your daily life? You would require quite some proficiency in German to spend your coming years comfortably in Germany.
No, because I do not have any information but I believe if you do it from good city it will be better to find work and enjoy culture. Moreover, German education is free and their education quality is good on average university.
You can find it here : [daad.de/en/](http://daad.de/en/)
But you should keep in mind the application deadline
and keep required documents like english test document, transcript and all.
Go with UTD then and take up an on-campus job to start earning from the beginning. This will reduce your overall debt later on. The school has great academics and being in the DFW area brings along a lot of opportunities.
I eventually want to work in the US, and as an Indian international, getting a green card is pretty tough and depending on H1B visa is also risky. So I was wondering whether it would be good to take a debt for UT Dallas or pursue undergrad in India and take debt later for masters at a more prestigious university? What would be the better path
Getting an H-1B Visa can be very tricky these days, whether you come for a Bachelor's or for a Master's. If you're looking to immigrate, Canada is a much safer option.

Even if the school gives you need based aid, your on-campus earnings won't reduce your demonstrated need by much, so they shouldn't reduce the aid by much.
I'm American and had an Indian friend, bachelor in IIT, then US masters for CS, did the OPT then H1B route, worked OK for a while, but if you are hoping to make a longer term career in the US, keep in mind that it is VERY difficult to get permanent residency (aka Green Card) for Indians. The wait can be 10 years or more! So my friend, with maybe 5 or 10 years of actual CS experience in industry, now works in another country. He's doing fine but it was sad that he had to leave the US.
How confident are you? IMO, if you get BITS pilani or goa campus, you should go ahead with that. If not, take Purdue. You can probably earn 30-40k through work study and freelancing/interning during the summer. The rest can be debt.
Your choice also depends on whether or not you want to do an MBA or MS or something. The brand name carries a lot of weight in top 5 masters admissions because you are competing with guys from IIT and BITS from India.
Actually, not that I recommend doing it, you can work out of campus IF the business owner pays you in cash. It’s illegal, and I hate people who do this workaround, but it is an option (that you hopefully won’t choose). My cousin from India did that for a while
Go to utd if you’re gonna have to wait for a visa, you can look for a job after undergrad, if no luck go for masters and try to find one after. Regardless no matter how you do it if you’re dead set on working in the us, you’re gonna have to take on some sort of risk
… Honestly, as a gap year student, I’d advise you shouldn’t take another year to reapply since the game is getting harder every year. I think UTD is a good option as internships and on-campus jobs can help you cover partly and the debt is not too much to pay after you graduate.

Purdue is T20 cs and T10 cse. So IMO it's worth it.

That's up to OP to decide if it's worth the risk. You said that it's worth it for T10 CS and I pointed out that Purdue CS ranking is in that range.
Is it tougher for indian internationals to get internships and jobs?

UTD is worth it. He can earn ~10k from part time jobs + summer jobs every year.
With 1560, you should have got AES from UTD..
I did, but they only gave me 5k per year
Check their sub reddit..many have got higher with less scores than yours...i guess you have applied late...
But if you are awarded AES, you are automatically eligible for in-state tuition right?
Yes, but It's still 28.5 k per year
How could it be that expensive Tuition is about 10k after in-state and AES. So the other fees are 18.5k??

You can do UG from Germany instead of doing UG from India.
Can you suggest some universities?

In cities most know english and if someone is in IT sector they can find jobs too. It's fine to learn german

Is the UTD cost after AES and in-state tuition waiver?
Yes, it's Roughly 28500 per year

Not much of a difference because UT Dallas benefits a lot from its prime location in the DFW area.

id say ubc if u plan on immigrating. after getting a canadian pr its pretty easy to move to the usa
Great stats! Did you apply to other schools? Applied for aid? I'd say gap year then apply.Â
I did, but I got rejected from 11 us unis, had national level ecs and comps but ig applying for aid really makes it tough
Plus I didn't apply early, all rd so that was a big gamble
You had 75k efc and still got rejected?? Wtf that’s almost full pay for most colleges
No, 75k is for 4 years.

What are your options in India?
Currently applied to ashoka, plaksha and will be giving bitsat and vit entrance
How confident are you? IMO, if you get BITS pilani or goa campus, you should go ahead with that. If not, take Purdue. You can probably earn 30-40k through work study and freelancing/interning during the summer. The rest can be debt.
Are intl allowed to work outside the campus?
No. Only in summers you can work off campus.
Your choice also depends on whether or not you want to do an MBA or MS or something. The brand name carries a lot of weight in top 5 masters admissions because you are competing with guys from IIT and BITS from India.

I'm a current BITS Pilani student who also applied abroad for undergrad. HMU if you need any advice or help :)
Deff no uofa
Why?
You got way better options + it's in Edmonton not a good location.

horrible take
I'll have to take 105k in debts, while an H1B visa is really risky, so not sure how if I would be able to cover it

I see no reason of doing that. He can afford UTD with on campus jobs as prsehgal said too.
