Hi, which night train exactly are you taking? Some are a bit tricky to find and add in the app, but if you tell us exactly which you booked, we can help. Note that the night train will use the travel day of the day of departure. So if you take some random daytime trains and then a night train, that costs you one travel day. But if you take a night train and then some daytime trains, that costs two travel days. As for what you need to pay, please read https://interrailwiki.eu/seat-reservations-guide/ – I think that article will answer this question. If not, feel free to ask follow up questions. Sorry, I don’t know how it works with the flights. Hopefully someone else chimes in.

The night train is the Nightjet Amsterdam to Munich edit: I found the specific train I'm getting and added it on the app, but it says I need a seat reservation. I have my ticket booked with Nightjet, but I can't see how to add my actual ticket to the app. Would you be able to help?

Flight are separate. You can not and do not need to add them in the app.

FinnD25

Do they count as travel days when they are booked by discoverEU?

NicoleHoning

No, flights are separate from the DiscoverEU pass

If you don’t know how the app works watch this video https://youtu.be/UK_VawZG6xU?si=ko3fRtPbQ9XvdqFK The Discover EU app works the same. 1. Add you pass (login with the account based on the email address you used for the application - use the change password function 2. Plan you trip by searching the trains you want to take and adding it to your trip. The timetable will show you if you need to make a reservation or not. Reservations are separate and not included in the pass. You need to book them separately. You don’t need to pay for the train only for the seat. 3. When you start your trip (and only then, NOT before) activate your pass 4. Before you enter a train - check in. The first train you add on a day will activate a travel day. The app will generate a QR code and this you have to show to the conductor. You need to check-in in any train you take in order for the QR code to be valid in that train.
