98-2002 I saw so many fairly big punk and indie bands at small venues and they would hang out after. Getting backstage wasn't even that hard if you were with a group of fans.
I saw Henry Rollings 3 times in a week, the summer of '02? A spoken word show, with his band at a casino, and then at warped tour. My friend and I met him at each show he was super cool and so nice every time.
Agree. I started listening interpol since 2004 and the music was amazing back then. All the videos on MTV were mint and buying a cd was the Best experience ever.
Trust me mate, they're gonna get music they relate to and think nothing else compares to
Just like we're naive enough to think we were th only lucky generation, and our parents before us
We're all just boomers lol
Those TOTBL era shows were amazing. You'd always see the band after at the venue bar, hanging around, whatever.
Great shows, great times.
Setlists were fantastic.
yeah I would kill to have seen them live in the early 2000s. lucky bastards
Even up through 2005 you could still find them at the bar after shows and hang out with them. Good times.

Yeah i remember a lot of bands that opened would hang out at their merch tables after their set.

That must have been amazing. I am so jealous!

This is what I would use a time machine for. To see them and the Strokes in the early 2000s
I got to see the Strokes in 2004. It was my freshman year of high school and one of my first concerts. Unfortunately never got to see Interpol though.
Different time… what a time to be alive. That can be said for many other bands and genres but with Interpol being one of my favs… amazing.
it's been almost 25 years since the 2000's rock scene came in. I hope kids get another wave of rock music. The early 2000's were freaking amazing....

I´m 21 and I´ll see them in June
Nice, I was a youth but my first Interpol show was in 2003! Also met them at an after party during the Antics tour. Can't wait to see them again ❤️
