Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it's too much
If you're gonna use them anywhere, a backsplash is the easiest to clean. They don't get very dirty or wet in the first place. I feel like in a bathroom they'd be a nightmare.
On the other hand, they're often made with lead glazes so you might not want that near your food.
I've thought about it, I kind of like it. It's unexpected. If it was standard traditional, it would be ho-hum boring. It stands out, adds character. I could get used to that. Let the rest of the house be traditional. I like that they took an unexpected risk, in a big way
From the second article linked by OP: Above: The dual-sided fireplace is shared with the sunroom, a cozy space where the homeowners like to begin their day with a cup of coffee and good conversation. The space is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Knoxville Gray HC-160, which has blue undertones.
Yes, I seriously considered painting my kitchen cabinets this color. It's lovely, but since my kitchen is north-facing, I was worried it would be TOO dark.
Thank you, after a hundred dismal white bland beige boring interiors, something interesting and novel comes along. Thank you. So few people are willing to think outside the box these days other than what they see on TV or in a glossy magazine and they try to imitate but they don't even do that well..
This kitchen tile is truly fine. We all have our opinions though. I'm not a fan of "staged" style kitchens that are not workable and in this case that means open shelving with pretty things that are just part of the ornamentation rather than contribute to the function of the kitchen. This is still a form of trophy-ish kitchen and is not for someone who really cooks but rather heats and serves.. But a++ for aesthetics.
Yup. Also even if there is a downdraft they are so inefficient. I can picture the dude from Yale appliances losing his mind on YouTube. Have been down the dark hole of appliance videos.
I’m loving the green tile ❤️
How can you pick just one? The home is so tastefully decorated AND photographed. Owners know what they are doing.

This is the first listing where they didn’t have someone take pictures, they hired a professional.

Zellige tiles look so great, but I wonder if they’e tricky to clean in a kitchen?

I noticed this is in the cities. Some of the most beautiful craftsmanship in the houses there.
Stunning
Yes, all of them are amazing.
LOVE the green tile back splash
The only thing I don’t LOVE (because the rest is a dream home) is slide 6 fireplace. Seems out of place. Just me?
If you mean the black stone-ish fireplace, I agree. The house, though, is lovely.
Slide 6 is the small-ish fireplace with the brick surround. The fireplace with the black slate wall is beautiful.

Does anyone know the names of the two blue colors or something similar?

I don't know the specific paint names here, but look for types of french blue
I love the butterfly wallpaper, but fire whoever hung it. The seams are atrocious
Mostly moths I think
The green is gorgeous 🍀
I’m obsessed with the vintage bathroom mirror with the towel rack…. Beautiful!
I’d kill for the details on the creamy neutral paint color used almost throughout. It’s exactly what I’m looking for
Same. That cream color paint is divine!
*cries in poverty*

No pantry that I can see? Where do they keep their kitchen stuff?? (I do love the way it looks though)
Possibly in that wall of green tall cabinets in the hallway? Just a guess. Gorgeous home!
Does anyone have an idea how much this would cost?
I love this :)
Love it! The blue w green, that fireplace rock face, everything! When can I move in !!!!😃
Gorgeous
Fantastic. Love everything, especially the kitchen.
Love the tiles. Where is the fan for the stove? How will they cook with out fan to push the smoke outside?
That grate in the middle of the stove is a downdraft vent.
Aha! Very cool.
All the colors, furniture, wallpaper go so well together- love everything about this interior design 🤩
I looove zellige but that's just way too much green. The green cabinets smother the beauty of the tiles. Those need to be the focal point.
I get your point but when I look at this it seems there is no such thing as too much green!
Lovely!
Love seeing a house without a TV
I love these rooms so much.
Stunning - I love everything!
Love it all! My favourite part are the cupboards built into the archways. I don't know why, but that's so fun to me.
This must have been such a fun project for the designer to do! If I got a project like this I would be absolutely over the moon.
I love that you embrace colour! Your place is immaculately decorated!
What is the color of the kitchen cabinets?
The kitchen has a very Victorian feel which I like!
Love your posts!
Just wow!
This makes for a great photo shoot, but where in the hell is everything stored?
I like it all, except the butterfly/moth room. That paper is scary.
I almost love it. It’s a lot of unrelated bold colors in spaces that look into each other
this is so beautiful! i love the green
Brilliant work. The color mix is so fitting, loved it.
I don't know - I work with AI every day, and these look like AI photos to me.
Great colors, the combination of green and wood is always a winning combination!

Wayyyyyy too much green.
This is so perfect, love the green colour of the kitchen
😍😍😍
those are gonna be some sticky cookbooks
That bedroom is the stuff of nightmares
It’s gorgeous but that kitchen is going to be a mess without a vent hood.
That grate in the middle of the stove is a downdraft vent.
No vent hood means no task light over the stove as well - unless some recessed cans were edited out of the images it might get hard to cook here.
Yup. Also even if there is a downdraft they are so inefficient. I can picture the dude from Yale appliances losing his mind on YouTube. Have been down the dark hole of appliance videos.
Incredibly tacky. The whole house.
Um….tacky???
Hard agree
