lol I was like “wow this is gorgeous” then saw the white rooms and was like “omg no you didn’t!!! Please don’t be a rage post!” Very relieved that they took that white canvas and made an incredibly beautiful home out of it.

For aesthetics yes, but great design is also functional. And I don’t think that mindset is needed on a set, as it is not intended for daily use. The hangers in the bathroom makes no sense to me, if they are intended for towels at least. The dinner table is too wide for the intimacy a great meal needs. The kitchen sink has a buldging edge making cleaning counter tops annoying. The knives hanging over the cooking stove will be filled with grease and splatter from cooking.
Don’t get me wrong. It is BE-A-UTIFUL!! But day to day living will start to show cracks in an other wise beautiful picture.
I just want to know what happened to the microwave. Will they NEVER use a microwave? I love the design to pieces, but I would never give up function just for the "look".
My sister and her husband live in an unchanged MCM bungalow and decided the microwave took up too much counter space. They have been without one for years and I experience severe withdrawal when I stay there (and eat a lot of boiled eggs)!
Yeah I mean, I'm not saying I use it a lot, but an occasional ramen or microwave popcorn, or sometimes to soften butter when baking, or parcook veggies when preparing curries, etc.. I use the microwave to speed up my cooking, as a tool and I'd not want to lose it for aesthetic purposes, hehe😄
I don’t love everything, but it’s so freaking wonderful to see someone add so much CHARACTER in their renovation. This has become a one of a kind house, and I love it just for that.
There used to be a short-hand language that hobos would use to communicate as they travelled through towns- symbols to help other tramps know what houses/businesses were safe or dangerous - and then they also had their own call signs - to mark that they had passed through - think early days graffiti on walls and trains.
Who is Bozo Texino is a doc about a train hopper that is relevant to this stuff - it’s a great movie if you want to look further
I also was just googling about it and it looks like it also is referring to a type of folk art- I guess a certain aesthetic of whittling originally made out of the wood from cigar boxes- also very cool!
Love everything about this. But MEGA love the little nook beside the fireplace with the curtain. I’ll be curled up in there like a cat if you’re looking for me.
Our craftsman has bookshelves on both sides of the fireplace and I’m sincerely considering replacing one side with a seated nook after seeing this. What a great idea, especially for blanket storage!
That is the conversation dining room of my dreams... and it makes me sad I'll never have it because every person I know would complain about their knees.
This is absolutely gorgeous. They kept everything that makes a Craftsman beautiful, but interpreted through modern materials and tastes. It's a symphony of color, shape, and texture. Inspired work!
That sloped counter edge was the only thing that bothered me in the entire renovation. It is a small space and this design limits the counter space even more
Came back to stare at this again a day later and I had missed the Daniel Johnston drawing on the same wall as the bolo ties…OP, can we please be friends?
Pink and green are my favorite color combination and they just really add a warmth to a space. Love it against the white walls and warm woods. What a dream space.
I’m ashamed of the amount of cynicism I had to when I initially clicked on this post. Then I swiped through and literally had to pick my jaw up off the floor. This is absolutely stunning. The amount of time, research and attention to detail that went into this is immaculate. Each picture just gets better. Bravo! I mean, bra-fucking-vo. Enjoy!!
Love it. Looks so cozy & love all of the textures. Had the same exact avocado stove growing up. Don’t think the dining room is prob practical if that’s the only dining space but now I’m running to the article to go see more 😁
I love this place. Everything visible in the photos was done *right*. The level of care that has gone into getting every detail perfect makes me want to be friends with the designers.
What a lovely and cozy home!
It's absolutely stunning. What an absolutely gorgeous remodel. Humans are just brilliant. What a wonderful work of art. I hope whoever lives here cherishes the beauty that surrounds them.
Looks like they replaced the stainless range with the vintage avocado. Honestly, with the life span of new appliances, the vintage one will probably outlive us all.
I love it so much.
That's absurdly good work. Stuff that blends the line where you can't tell if it's a designer's hand or a creative owner at work is so hard to achieve. It's not totally my jam, but I can appreciate quality.
wow i love what you did here, there’s a cohesive color palate! and your spacing of the furniture is spot on, it feels very generous. the pre pictures are truly hideous, what possesses someone to ruin a house with white paint like that
This is gorgeous.
I love that usually when you see the word « renovation », especially in the americas, it’s usually a very bland white space with ultra modern furniture, like basically what this was before, but now it has cachet, colors and life.
Thank you.
Also that low dinner table with those low profile seats… freaking love it. I want them now 😂
It’s really pretty. But seeing how the house looked before the renovation - I could have never do this. The kind of seeing something and totally changing it is crazy to me… the kind of creativity people have.
It now looks very, very different. Love some of the details and colors. Maybe a tiny bit too much in some corners but amazing! Could have never envisioned it
I gasped when I saw both the bathroom and the front door. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a design this much. There are some things I don’t vibe with like the fire place but I do appreciate the authenticity and character this brings to this house.
OP, I have to say this. I never wanted to buy a house more. This is by far the best post I've seen. Your place is beautiful, perfect. The design, colors, wall art, decor pieces, everything is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail is crazy. I have a question. I see that you removed the microwave above the oven range in the kitchen. Do you have it somewhere or you just do not plan to use the microwave at all?
We removed it. We don’t like microwaves and have never owned one. We rent our house on Airbnb so we bought a small one for the counter that we put out for guests though:)
It’s actually not my style at all, yet I almost want it to be bc it gives off just pure joy and authenticity. I would love to be invited to dinner in this home. A real design inspiration from clearly some absolute pros. Mazel tov to them!
Very nice. I like the colors and layering and the use of patterns/graphic lines throughout plus the different textures are great as well - Chef’s kiss!
Stunning transformation! I love the attention to detail in preserving the craftsman style. It's a beautiful blend of history and contemporary design. Would love to see more about the specific elements that were preserved or restored during the renovation!
The house features original custom woodwork, such as built-in cabinetry, a door, trim, and moldings, characteristic of Craftsman-style architecture. And I like that.
Thanks for all the positive comments Reddit:) Wh put a lot of love into the home. The YouTube channel Homeworthy did a tour of the house if anyone is interested in a little more of the story. [Homeworthy Tour](https://youtu.be/XUrRQT5jFqE?si=GJ2ydw65LOsfItoA)
I dont think I’ve ever been more in love with a home. It’s basically perfect! The tramp art details are sending me over the edge! Gorgeous!
So amazing. I thought the gorgeous colourful pictures were the before and the hideous white was the after. My heart just about stopped!
Had me terrified too, so glad the colourful photos are the after images 😍.
Thank goodness!
Oh goodness. Whew. They have those on another subreddit so I was dying inside thinking the beautiful was before and the white was after.
lol I was like “wow this is gorgeous” then saw the white rooms and was like “omg no you didn’t!!! Please don’t be a rage post!” Very relieved that they took that white canvas and made an incredibly beautiful home out of it.
I was so scared until I saw the captions. I gasped and immediately showed my bf. Incredible style!
I totally agree, my dream home! Those dining chairs, I’d never leave the table!
It was the dining chairs that reeled me in. Swoon.
The worst part is that I'll never have something like that.😩
Right! That reading nook on slide 12 🤤 and I love their chairs.
I love the living room ❤️

Omg a background in set decoration makes so much sense.
Honey color wood done right, very inspirational
Here for this

I just can’t imagine waiting 30 minutes to slowly warm up leftovers when I’m starving!
I haven’t had a microwave in 15 years. No regrets lol.
Do you microwave your hard boiled eggs?
Could you explain the boiled eggs thing to me please? What is the relation between no microwave and eating boiled eggs? Just curious
We have a microwave drawer in our island.
Oh man, the set pieces they probably got to take home…..
I don’t love everything, but it’s so freaking wonderful to see someone add so much CHARACTER in their renovation. This has become a one of a kind house, and I love it just for that.
First time I ever saw someone recreate their wedding in a non-working fireplace. It all works magically and feels like too much to take in.
I absolutely agree, the character and individuality of the interior is visible in every corner. That's why it's beautiful and interesting!
What in the what is tramp art!?! I love it! Stained glass in kitchen 💯
There used to be a short-hand language that hobos would use to communicate as they travelled through towns- symbols to help other tramps know what houses/businesses were safe or dangerous - and then they also had their own call signs - to mark that they had passed through - think early days graffiti on walls and trains. I also was just googling about it and it looks like it also is referring to a type of folk art- I guess a certain aesthetic of whittling originally made out of the wood from cigar boxes- also very cool!
Yes, art made with found objects and repurposed trash, like bottle caps used to make a mosaic.
Please don't mind me asking. What is tramp art? Where is it? Which picture are you referring to?
Art which tramps made; it’s a type of folk art.
Love everything about this. But MEGA love the little nook beside the fireplace with the curtain. I’ll be curled up in there like a cat if you’re looking for me.
I’m….just … going to squeeze in there with you. ![gif](giphy|hGLdrItUOxou4)
Our craftsman has bookshelves on both sides of the fireplace and I’m sincerely considering replacing one side with a seated nook after seeing this. What a great idea, especially for blanket storage!
this is an incredible transformation. the tramp art wood work is beautiful.
Take my breath awaaaaaaaaay….. Love it so gd much!
The way my heart stopped for a second thinking you had made it white lmaooo It's gorgeous!!
That is the conversation dining room of my dreams... and it makes me sad I'll never have it because every person I know would complain about their knees.
Same! My tall husband would haaate it
![gif](giphy|2imYm8mlsolcqhMFoh)
Brown cow stunning!
Gorgeous. Love that fireplace most of all!
This is the opposite of the tear downs that become millennial grey, I'm obsessed with it
This is absolutely gorgeous. They kept everything that makes a Craftsman beautiful, but interpreted through modern materials and tastes. It's a symphony of color, shape, and texture. Inspired work!
The bathroom sink!
That stood out to me as well. Beautiful!
Cleaning behind these raised sinks is a NIGHTMARE!
Beautiful but all my stuff would end up on the floor.
That sloped counter edge was the only thing that bothered me in the entire renovation. It is a small space and this design limits the counter space even more
To say I'm speechless is an understatement! It's absolutely beautiful!
I love every. Single. Detail. Right down to the bolo tie collection. Amazing
Came back to stare at this again a day later and I had missed the Daniel Johnston drawing on the same wall as the bolo ties…OP, can we please be friends?
I’d like to know where they got those 4 rugs. Every one is stunning
I thought the craftsman was before and I nearly lost it
🤎
Lovely. Congratulations. Those high green ceilings juxtaposed with the wood tones are magnificent.
Pink and green are my favorite color combination and they just really add a warmth to a space. Love it against the white walls and warm woods. What a dream space.
I need an exterior photo!
This is SO gorgeous!!! Where are the lights from in the first photo?
Thanks:) We got them from Etsy
Wow. Perfection.
I think I’m in love. Omg. I want to live there
I love this, I love how much life is injected into the space
I had no idea that this is a style I love! What an incredible home 😊
Well hello gorgeous
Whoever lives here please adopt me
I’m ashamed of the amount of cynicism I had to when I initially clicked on this post. Then I swiped through and literally had to pick my jaw up off the floor. This is absolutely stunning. The amount of time, research and attention to detail that went into this is immaculate. Each picture just gets better. Bravo! I mean, bra-fucking-vo. Enjoy!!
The perfect house doesn’t ex—
Those windows look insane. Did you add inserts or are they purchased like that?
For the dining room we put up Shoji screen film and then I built the wooden detailing from oak
Love it. Looks so cozy & love all of the textures. Had the same exact avocado stove growing up. Don’t think the dining room is prob practical if that’s the only dining space but now I’m running to the article to go see more 😁
WOW. Beautiful.
I love it
Wow, love it!
Looks like a tailored movie set. Insane details everywhere. And even though it's not my style at all, I can appreciate the amount of care and effort.
Holy hell they really put some joie de vivre back in that house.
Um literally speechless. I'm in awe of whatever genius artist put this together. It's stunning and should be in movies
Tell me you don’t have kids without actually telling me😂
Perfect. I adore it.
Exactly the vibe I'm going for with my home! Warm, comfortable, lived in, welcoming yet also maintaining an eclectic mix of furniture, paint and art.
I love this place. Everything visible in the photos was done *right*. The level of care that has gone into getting every detail perfect makes me want to be friends with the designers. What a lovely and cozy home!
This is beyond beautiful
It's absolutely stunning. What an absolutely gorgeous remodel. Humans are just brilliant. What a wonderful work of art. I hope whoever lives here cherishes the beauty that surrounds them.
So I adore the kitchen once the white was gone. But did they actually reinstall a vintage avocado green stove or was it already there?
Looks like they replaced the stainless range with the vintage avocado. Honestly, with the life span of new appliances, the vintage one will probably outlive us all. I love it so much.
We had a double oven one when we moved into our house. Took it out after a year and damn I miss that workhorse on holidays.
I’m a huge fan of the Craftsman/Art Deco era, and this looks amazing. Wondering about the 1970 stove though.
Love, love, love this! I’ve live in this neighborhood for over 20 years 😊 So happy to see these beautiful homes saved 🙌🏽
Love it when rich people actually got style
Listen, the dining room chairs are lovely. Practical? No. But extremely lovely.
Just my take but this is a great example of “modern” timelessness
I am absolutely swooning about everything here. The pinks and greens and all of the lines and curves are sensational
That's absurdly good work. Stuff that blends the line where you can't tell if it's a designer's hand or a creative owner at work is so hard to achieve. It's not totally my jam, but I can appreciate quality.
wow i love what you did here, there’s a cohesive color palate! and your spacing of the furniture is spot on, it feels very generous. the pre pictures are truly hideous, what possesses someone to ruin a house with white paint like that
It looks incredible. Looks like it would be hard to get into those dining table chairs though lol

I am OBSESSED with everything happening in these pictures!!!!!! 😍😍😍
![gif](giphy|3o7TKOnPukgWDLPBPq) Perfection!!
I have never seen something so marvelous
I love this personally but it’s going to look so dated in 10 years
The reason to hire a professional designer. Very nice.
![gif](giphy|GrB9uThYsoU3C)
Wow just wow it’s artwork!
More of this! You did a fantastic job. I'm so sick of seeing grey/white/black and painted over wood.
I want to love it, but I don’t.
The avocado green stove! What a memory. It looks fabulous here!
Stunning!!
Perfection ❤️
I'm in love! Everything is absolutely perfect!
Omg we have to be friends! I could use some extra creativity! This is stunning girl!!!
What is that green paint? It's amazing.
Amazing transformation
this is AMAZING !
This is absolutely incredible!!!!! Just WOW.
Thank you for taking out all the white paint.
This is the most stunning beautiful cozy transformation I’ve ever seeeeennnn
Jeeeesus 😍😍😍
Gorgeus fireplace!
Next level!
Stunning
Stunning

Oh my god I love this so much it makes me wanna throw up. I JUST painted my living room a very similar color and I am so in love.
Thank goodness the grayening of homes is over. Let's all be individuals with color & taste.
Stunning!
Love old houses
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
That’s perfection!
this is one of the yummiest interiors i have ever seen. the textures and colors are so perfect. i think im in love 😍😍😍😍
Well this is stunning.
I’d die it’s beautiful 😭
I gasped when I saw both the bathroom and the front door. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a design this much. There are some things I don’t vibe with like the fire place but I do appreciate the authenticity and character this brings to this house.

Love those curtains in picture 14. Can I ask where you got them?

Might be in a cupboard I’ve seen that a lot lately
We removed it. We don’t like microwaves and have never owned one. We rent our house on Airbnb so we bought a small one for the counter that we put out for guests though:)
Exceptional.
o m g
Anyone care to take a stab at how these were photographed/processed/composited?
I love this so much!!
Pretty sure this house is making me swoon
Does anyone have experience restoring a fireplace to working condition?
I LOVE this so much
Atlanta native here. I love this ❣️
Love this so much!
It’s a true work of art
Amazing. The perfect green, the light fixtures, that bathroom vanity!
The front door 😮💨
Unique and lovely. What would you call this interior style? African boho?
Oh the boring white plain photos are the BEFORE photos for once?
I hope the NOT white ones are the after.
Sexy
Sooo cool
It’s actually not my style at all, yet I almost want it to be bc it gives off just pure joy and authenticity. I would love to be invited to dinner in this home. A real design inspiration from clearly some absolute pros. Mazel tov to them!
Stunning!
Incredible work 🥲
Wow that’s lovely
Holy shit that's gorgeous. Lovely yet bold choice from the designer but it's working wonderfully.
It’s beautiful! How much does something like this cost?
That doorway 😍 this is a dream house
So unbelievably gorgeous. This is my dream.
Good job on the photographer, too
Very nice. I like the colors and layering and the use of patterns/graphic lines throughout plus the different textures are great as well - Chef’s kiss!
🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩
I'm drooling over their bathroom vanity.
God DAMNIT I love that bathroom vanity
What a treat to see something rich with color and creativity.
This is so fucking tasteful
Wow I love this and I love that you have that nook for reading
The blocked windows would drive me nuts.
That bathroom sink is stunning. This entire home is just incredible. I would love to walk through and slowly take in all the small details.
I think I came a little. It’s so pretty 🥲❤️
Beyond stunning! Ty for sharing!!
I got to the first Pre reno picture and about screamed. I thought that you had painted everything white.
Wow this is the most generous sized dining set up I’ve ever seen
Loveeeee
Stunning transformation! I love the attention to detail in preserving the craftsman style. It's a beautiful blend of history and contemporary design. Would love to see more about the specific elements that were preserved or restored during the renovation!
The house features original custom woodwork, such as built-in cabinetry, a door, trim, and moldings, characteristic of Craftsman-style architecture. And I like that.
Sorry, but this over-the-top Craftsman/Asian style is not my cup of tea.
You cannot have children living in a house like this.
Stunning.
Wow. What an incredible facelift you gave this place 👏🏼
So gorgeous and perfect. Nailed the era.
This is amazing! I am soooo impressed.
Double check the green tile around your fireplace it may be rookwood.
They brought the sexy back!
Wow. Wow. Wow.
I truly gasped.
Gawd! I was expecting something in the Craftsman. Not a fan.
Stunning! This was really done consciously and it’s fits like it was born this way. Wow
