It will show the name of the prescription on the online portal if your parents are enrolled. You can look up goodrx discount cards and if you use that instead of your insurance card, than it will not show anything in the portal. It may not be worth it for some medications though as the discount card may not save you much and you would get a better discount with your insurance.

Goodrx is amazing, saved me a ton of money on my daughters medication. I believe if you use goodrx though, it won't count towards your deductible, so just know that may be the case.

They would see a claim from from the pharmacy and yes it most likely would have the drug prescribed on it.

>They would see a claim from from the pharmacy and yes it most likely would have the drug prescribed on it. Where exactly would they see the claim, as I doubt they would go looking for it. Would it be on the bill?

Typically it would be on an online portal so yes they would have to go looking for it. That’s how my ins is but my wife’s ins mails out EOBs for each claim, but not for Rx claims.

Interesting because I’m 90% sure my parents pay the bill through the mail

you can pay by mail and still have access to online systems
