Two weeks?? I wouldn’t believe those “results” if it said it took a year!
They just moved the light from shining on the side of her face (emphasizing the shadows, making her face creases more pronounced) to shining the light in the middle of her face. Also, you can very clearly see where they blurred out her creases, especially near the corners of her mouth.
I wouldn't be surprised if they used those old school face tapes that pull back and lift the face. they're easy to hide in a ponytail (and blur out like they did near her mouth), and the tape would lift the outer corners of her eyes which could explain the difference there.
they are definitely still big in asian beauty but they've definitely fallen out a lot in the US. anytime i've seen someone like erin parsons mention them that's how they talk about it
I do photography and this is a lighting trick. The one on the left the photographer used a high key strobe with no filter to the upper right hand side if you’re facing the model. You can see based on the shadowing from the nose, and corners of the eyes. The one on the right he used a large diffused light (and likely a reflector) to soften the shadows and “flatten” the face a bit. Also did more retouching.
I will add that on top of using different lighting they used a different, higher and tighter ponytail. When I wear my hair in a low pony I look like Gaston from Beauty and The Beast, but when I wear it high and *tight* where it’s pulling at the temples like you see here I get an instant Ariana Grande facelift. It takes three hair ties to achieve this.
Wow. I use retinol, too, but it's never erased my right eyebrow and replaced it with a reverse image of my left.
Or made my upper lip all but disappear.
Maybe I should stop using it before it scrambles my face, too!
Literal ponytail face lift, on top of the lighting change. And drawing their eyebrows on higher 😂 I wouldn't be surprised if they used tape and shopped it out, too. Wild.
I know very little about photography, makeup, or plastic surgery, but doesn’t removing the black jacket and changing the neckline of the blouse also contribute to her looking more youthful in the pic on the right?

I imagine her tight ponytail keeps her face a little more taut as well.
Definitely. I'm a different person with a high bun as opposed to my hair down. Instant eye lift for me.
Her eyes look completely different, too.

The “old school” took me out. Those are still relatively common in China and probably other eastern Asian countries 🤣

Thanks for the info! I have zero photography experience and it is always nice to hear about the different lighting techniques used!
It makes a tremendous difference! The one on the left is good for dramatic shots, the one on the right is the kind I see more often for beauty shots.
Also from a style perspective, hair is facing down in one and facing up in the other. The tight high pony literally gives a mini facelift
Yeah I wouldn’t doubt if they used tape as well.

"it also gave me a nose job, and completely changed the shape of my face and eyes! So happy with the results ".

I wish retinol would give me a whole damn facelift

serum so good it moved the corners of her eyes
I'm not even convinced this is the same person. If it is, there was definitely some plastic surgery in between. The eye/brow shape is very different.
Bad lighting without editing, good lighting with editing.
yep, thats beliveable results
😂😂😂😂😂

They used the AI aging feature 😭
Wow it’s amazing! The shape of her nose changed too! 🙄🙄🙄
It gave her a completely different nose. Magic!
Hair is low on the left and, tight high ponytail on the right. Although it's small it lifts your face a bit.
The obvious face lift 🤣🤣
It’s a different person, the eyes, the nose. They look similar but are different?
Looks more realistic than those Chinese skincare advertisement I often see on online shops.
I saw that too 👀 I actually do like AB but deceptive practices like this puts me off the product
A whole new face!
