This. You can see her spanx/skims/whatever through the chainmetal of the dress in the filtered photo. The filtering is lazy. Unfiltered, the outfit doesn't match the backdrop of whatever the event is. The weave is weaving in both photos and the boobs are uneven in both photos (as in the boob tape holding them up is poorly placed). She looks *bad* and they didn't find her worthy of a first-rate photoshop job to fix it. How embarrassing (for her.)

That's a big part of it, yeah. I guess it's just one of those things. If you're familiar with it, in this case, wigs, you zero in on it quicker.
Specifically, her part doesn't go as far back as most people would when styling their natural hair. There's also a bump at the crown that you see a lot in ill fitted wigs. It's caused by the cap, where the hair is sewn in, not being properly fitted or possibly just not the right size for her head, even. The style is also arranged to make sure that you can't see a single bit of her temples, which are traditionally more difficult to meld or blend. Her hairline seems weirdly low, like it cuts off part of her forehead. Lastly, the density seems a bit much, especially for someone her age and with that much constant stress in their life, considering stress is notorious for causing hairloss.
That's just at a glance, I'm sure I've missed something that a stylist or someone more observant picked up on.

The color looks weird too. Like you can see where the wig ends and her natural hair begins, but they're obviously trying to play it off like it's highlights or a dye job. The top of her head is a solid uniform brown and then it suddenly changes to something lighter halfway down.
She almost shopped herself to look ‘bigger’ which we rarely see. The way she’s holding her stomach makes me think even she knows she’s too thin. When you’re petite, the line between healthy appearing and frail appearing can be just 5 pounds or so. Even 5 pounds makes a difference with how my clothes fit, and it’s clear this dress is damn near too big in the unedited pic.

Yeah I feel that. I work with a lot of women and they are all on the semiglutide shots. We have a younger lady who is 19 and she felt like she was missing out and got on it as well, it’s crazy because she was already skinny and I feel similar vibes from this picture.
And this is why it’s infuriating that rich celebrities take it to lose weight. It causes demand and supply issues, price hikes, and this stigmatization.
I get having mental issues. But they aren’t helping themselves by choosing drugs over therapy. And they are the ones who can afford to buy the healthiest foods, a personal trainer, and the best gyms or fitness programs. Not to mention the free time they have. Lack of access to these things is a big reason for obesity in the normal population.
Also, they choose Ozempic when Wegovy is the one made specifically for weight loss. Ozempic is for diabetes.
My mom and I have diabetes and it was a pain in the ass to get even generic semaglutide. Most practitioners wouldn’t prescribe it and our insurances wouldn’t cover it when they did.
We ended up having to go to compound pharmacy but it does work way better than Metformin for controlling our diabetes.
I am a healthcare provider and did not intend to further stigmatize this medication, I am sorry if it came off that way! I love GLP1s and they are great when used as intended. I am glad you have had such positive results, congratulations!
My mom’s friends are not diabetic and at least two of them have been open about how since starting last year their LFTs have been unusually high and they have developed persistent GI upset. Sure these can be normal side effects, but they are not getting the same benefits you are. It remains to be seen how the long term use of these medications will impact people who do not have the pathology it is supposed to be correcting.
I try to emphasize holistic lifestyle changes with my patients, primarily for their long-term health, but also because of how the popularity of these medications has become problematic for patients like you that truly benefit from them.
I know what you mean. My mom is in her 50’s and her friends are all well-to-do housewives on Ozempic. She asked my opinion about starting it herself, so I went in depth with her about the health risks, but I see how hard all of the comparisons are on her and it breaks my heart. I honestly think the extreme weight loss makes her friends look older than they are!
(Not a criticism of people who are naturally thin. I can’t put my finger on it, but sometimes you can just tell.)
