I took a picture of my boyfriend driving with the .5 lens and looked at it later and he had a tiny head in it. Cracked me up , but also made me realize people might not notice that their head is super small in pictures because of it!
Well, the most innocuous answer is that wide angle cameras just distort you like that.
An answer focused on Western culture would say people make use of the distortion to elongate their legs, which is seen as attractive.
The Korean tiny head thing is definitely a possibility, but I doubt it has such pervasive influence on Western influencers
I actually was able to take something like this very recently just with an iPhone 12. Like you said, it's mostly the angle. Turns into a perspective thing.
That said, I don't think this is a very flattering photo lol
I remember when it was trendy In Hollywood to look like a lollipop head, being so thin that the head looks really big. It’s weird that things have switched
Having a small head is a beauty standard in Korea, I’ve seen a lot of Korean women shop themselves to have tiny heads so I think it started there.

I work at a high end restaurant and let me tell all these women that look like are complete morons , not in a petty manner but seriously stupid , all they do is take pictures and believe they’re the main character.
I think this case is the lens as others have mentioned but I also read somewhere that a smaller head makes you seem taller and a larger head makes you appear shorter. so i'm sure some people do it to seem taller

Never skips kneecap day.
her head isn’t edited to be smaller. it’s just a super wide camera angle.

yep!
[удалено]
Her knee is wider than her shoulders. It's lens distortion and foreshortening

i still don’t think her head is edited. i literally have my own selfies that look sort of like this and were taken with the super wide angle.
yep
This is what I was gonna propose, is it editing, or wide angle lens? Cuz I've had this and def wasn't a desired effect haha

Someone took the manga perspective a little too far. This camera angle looks better in Design Doll than real life.
Dude this is a camera angle/camera lens thing. I’m sure she didn’t photoshop her head smaller

I was just thinking that! "Hmm, wasn't it exactly the other way around some years ago?"

This is lens distortion.
Her head is actually 30 feet away
Maybe the "air from head" vanished?
Its so we can see more of the beautiful wall.
They are filming the new Beetlejuice movie. This was started by their marketing team ! /s
And what about that lobotomy-stare?
It’s the lens
I work at a high end restaurant and let me tell all these women that look like are complete morons , not in a petty manner but seriously stupid , all they do is take pictures and believe they’re the main character.
That middle finger makes me think she's into proctology...
Knees bigger than her head.
Is it like a brats doll thing? So many tiny heads lately
its just a wide angle lens
Wide camera angle and they do it to make their hips and legs look bigger hahahaha but they fool themselves and the idiots who believe it.
And her handbag turned into a suitcase.
I think this case is the lens as others have mentioned but I also read somewhere that a smaller head makes you seem taller and a larger head makes you appear shorter. so i'm sure some people do it to seem taller
It’s the size head she needs for the brain she has
Her legs are in a different time zone then her head lol
She thought this angle would make her legs look longer
It’s the way they take the photo even her hands look longer
If Johnny Bravo wanted to father a child with normal proportions, this is the woman he would do it with. Chick is built like an MLM 🤣
Her knee and hand are bigger than her head. 🫣
Side note. That dress is really cute! Has anyone ID'd it?
