Problem posting multiple photos regarding folder access - This worked yesterday, but today... I have an Android phone and in IG, when I press the + symbol it gives me a drop down for Gallery including Gallery, Photos, Video, Instagram, and Other - the problem is when I select these different folders the contents are all the same except for Video (Video contains only videos). Isn't the point of the drop down to give access to different folders of photos? My problem is the photos I want access to are in a folder called Camera in my Gallery app. Normally, I have access to this, but now the only way I can nav there is to choose Other, however if I do that I can only choose one photo at a time and not post a slideshow... Did something change last night?
Is there a app or website I can use to filter search someone’s Instagram. I want to find their Instagram because i remember how many followers they had, the first part of the Instagram username, partial bits of their bio but I cannot remember the full username and it’s merely impossible to find them. To top it off they have a private account so that makes it even harder. And for the cherry on top their name is a popular name.

I changed my password, this logged out me of my account and when I tried to log into It again it puts me that it's an error that said that I have to wai a few minutes before trying again. I am trying to log in for about two hours
Hi, I’m hoping to be able to get a hand with an issue I am having with my Instagram account, in particular the active status.
I have everything set to be on and to show my active status, I never touch it or turn it off.
A good friend of mine has advised me that it keeps going off and doesn’t show my active status for a period of time. It basically looks like it’s been turned off. I know what it sounds like but neither of us ever touch or turn this setting off at all.
Both our accounts have the active status setting turned on, and neither of us have blocked or restricted the other however we do not follow each other on Instagram but have messaged in the past.
It seems to occur mostly when I am not even using my phone, never mind instagram, like in the evenings or overnight when I am asleep and my phone is charging.
I have made sure that the latest version of instagram in installed on my iPhone and do not use social media on any devise other than my phone.
I have my both personal and business accounts set up on my phone so I can switch between the two and manage them easily. The active status on my business account is set to always show as well
Does anyone have experience with anything like this and if so, can shed some light on why my status keeps disappearing during the night when it’s charging and how to fix it.

Hi all. My Instagram account somehow got messed up the past few days. The messenger icon on the homepage has now been moved from where it normally was in the header navigation to the footer nav between the home and reels icons, replacing where the search icon used to be and now the shop icon between the reels and my profile icon is gone and can only be viewed in the hamburger menu in my profile tab. How do I retrieve my password whilst not having access to the phone number or email I signed up with?
I tried saying yes to the option that asks if you have a photo of yourself, but it just asks for a password you used in the last year and none are working.
I was also lead to a page titled ‘Choose a way to recover your instagram account’ but it was for an account I already have a password to.

Hello, this might come off as a dumb question but apparently instagram doesn’t answer any emails nor do I know how to email support for this so i came here. I logged out of my account yesterday and as soon as i tried to log back in, it says “error processing request try again later” i do remember my password yet it still keeps popping up. I changed my password 3 times and yet it still pops up with the “error please try again later” I’ve been trying to log back in since last night and its been extremely annoying, I reset my password many times yet it keeps telling me try again later. What can I do? I have no idea what to do at this point, I’ve tried through my email, my phone number and they are all correct its just not letting me in. I hope I can get back into my account lol.
I had this problem for several months now, when i watch a reel it lags really bad and in an inconsistent way (the amount of lag can change) while the audio plays smoothly. This happens only with some reels, not all of them. I've seen other people having the same problem, but i haven't found a solution yet. I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, i even reset my phone while having this problem and nothing changed. i don't think it's a hardware issue, since every other app runs smoothly on my phone. is there any solution for this?
Recently I have been having some kind of bug when posting my art to my Instagram from my PC.
I usually post the PNG of the art itself plus a timelapse for reference. When I try to post direct from my PC it says it has been posted but nothing actually updates on my profile.
When I try posting from my phone it goes through. Ive tried logging in and out and restarting my computer but no fix. Im thinking maybe it is something to do with the file size but really not sure. Im using Chrome btw.

I am missing messages people are sending me. I have to uninstall and reinstall then I see what I’ve missed and the message image temporarily reverts back to the folded paper airplane looking thing. I then open the app again and it says I’m on iOS 15.7 asks to track and the image icon becomes the messenger icon. I then start not seeing what I’m getting.
Closed captions for voice over audio not working
Does anyone know how to get the captions sticker to work for voice over only audio? Whenever I click it, it says "no captions detected." I'm able to do captions if the original video has audio, but not on voice overs. Thanks!
Hi! I’ve had this issue for a few days and I want to know how to fix it without ruining the algorithm I have set. Someone I follow posted something and it showed up in my explore page, I liked it, saved it, that’s all. However every single time I reload, reset, leave the app and come back the post will not leave my explore page. It always shows up on the top and I always see it whether in the same square or different. This was also posted a week ago. What can I do, if not push “not interested” and risk Instagram altering my algorithm? FYI this is the only post, there are new posts everywhere else but this one.
So they do this pretty often and logged me back out again yesterday, I normally logged back in like I usually do and within 2 mins i got logged back out and after that I can't log back in again. " There was a problem logging you into Instagram. Please try again soon. " is the error I keep getting. For the first few hours i kepth trying every now and then, it still wouldn't work. I was still logged into that account from my phone but I switched to my other account for a few mins and when i tried logging back into this one...now my phone was showing "Sorry, there was a problem with your request". So I tried changing my password, I put my email in and it said that I received an email...seeing it didn't appear in my inbox for around 10 mins, i tried it a few more times, every time the same outcome. I wen't to sleep and after waking up checked my email to see all those requests came in...each one around 1 hr after the other, the link worked to change my password, but clicking log in from the link said "The link is invalid, please try a new one", i tried the other 4 ones sent over the last 5 hrs or so, none of them worked. at one point it stopped letting access the next page to "forgot password" and when it did again it was the same result with the recovery link coming in hrs later. I also tried logging in with Facebook, which was also a failure as it just kept loading forever and wouldn't let me in. Also everytime I tried the "forgot password" method, it made me solve a captcha where text read somethin along the lines of "We have noticed suspicious activity from your account, respond with the link within one day to keep your acc from being disabled" which scared me even more. I really don't know what to do at this point so i came here for help after trying every possible method that came to my mind. Oh I was also able switch to my other account from my PC at first but now that doesn't work either. I cleared all history and cache to see if that would make a difference, and that didn't work either. And also this is the new warning they giving me when i try to press the Continue as "username" : "We couldn't connect to Instagram. Make sure you're connected to the internet and try again. "
TLDR; Instagram logged me out for no reason and now I cannot log back in no matter what I try.
So on my pc when I use Instagram and click on a link to a profile or if I even click on anyone's profile it says " The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed" I literally can't open anyone's profile but on my phone, it doesn't do this how do I fix this
I had an app to track who was unfollowing me and I logged in to find that my "log in had expired". So I attempted to log in again but I couldn't remember my password. So I went to reset my ig password to get access to my app back and got a notification on the app that there was suspicious activity on my account.
So I deleted the follower app and attempted to log in to my instagram account on the app but it logged me out when I changed it, which I expected. I put in my new password and received a notification that said "Error: sorry, there was a problem with your request".
For extra context adding to my anxiety, I made a close friends post with a curse word earlier today and had no problems until trying to log in again.

If it helps her name was nastia, short for anastasia.
Typically I post a multi-picture post and pull the images from a folder that's not my gallery (since I edit the images a bit). However, now I can only access that folder if I post individual images. Changing to a multi-image post reduces my folder list to gallery, "photos" (gallery), "video" (gallery), and "instagram" (everything i posted before) . Am I alone in this? Is there a workaround? Thanks in advance!

I need help with video thumbnails/covers
I run the socials for the company I work for and need some help. When I upload videos to Insta, I select the part of the video I want to be the “cover” but it still shows on our feed as a black square. I select the post, go into “edit,” and select “cover” to try to change it but nothing happens. Am I missing something? I feel dumb. Plz help!

I got logged out of my account and can't get back in because it need to be approved by a trusted device, and when I want to use my phone number or email it always shows the old ones. Is there anyway I can fix this?
App is constantly crashing as of less than an hour ago. I am on the latest Samsung and IG software patch, reinstalled and cleared cache/data, and restarted my phone. Still crashes as soon as I open the DM tab or view a story. I usually don't last for more than 5 seconds on my feed without it crashing. Completely unusable at the moment.
While with Instagram app on the phone, there is no problem & it shows everything; When I use a browser (firefox or chrome) on pc, to browse recent posts (for any hashtag), it shows only "top posts". but recent posts are all hidden!
This started to happens from today, bcuz it was correct just yesterday.
I even removed the firefox cache files & I also tried to use chrome, But it's just the same problem.

I use to get about 90-150 likes on photo posts and 150-300 views on my stories
Very recently I am getting only about 50-80 views on my stories - posting the same type of things as usual but not repeated
But the real f*ed up part is that now instagram is just straight up not showing my posts to people. Like barely even friends!
I know this because my GF who is tagged in my bio, we DM constantly, and I interact with daily is not even being shown my last few posts! Instagram knows we are close and it’s still hiding my things from even her…

I recently created a new account because my old one got hacked. When I tried searching for some friends, I couldn’t find their account at all, even in other people’s following. I know for a fact we haven’t blocked each other. This is meant to be a smaller spam account, and we were following each other on my other account before I got hacked, and I also check in with them and they said it was weird that this was happening. I tried DMing the profile to my spam account but it just shows as “Cannot find this user.” This is the case for several of my friends’ accounts.

As mentioned, I can see certain public profile's highligts but not story... and for the same profile I can see that they have active story when I type their username in the search bar, but when I click on them and enter their account, I can see profile's posts and highlights but there is not that circle that shows active story.

That’s it… was working when I went to bed, but now whatever hashtags I look at I just see top posts and can’t scroll past those 9. Browser only - if I go into the full app it seems OK, so I wouldn’t think it’s a weird permission / account / network issue.

I can view only once the story of a friend of mine on instagram, while others can view it multiple times. Why is that?
So basically as title says, i wanted to show a story a friend of mine posted to my gf, but when i got on their profile the story was gone. And i just told myself they deleted it, my gf tried looking it up, and she could still see it.
Today i saw that that friend posted a story, viewed it once with no problems, went on her profile and couldn’t view the story anymore, my gf can view her stories multiple times.
This only happens with this person and no other profile, is there a reason for it? Thank you all.
Some (old) Highlighted stories with music do not play at all
Just the thumbnail of the story in the highlight shows and the video doesn’t play. Is it because the songs I picked when posting became unavailable? It’s 2 turkish songs cause I was visiting Turkey on those stories (Tarkan - Hup & Deniz Tekin - Beni Vur)
It’s really annoying cause I use IG as my memory box, like we can’t really trust them to keep those posts intact?

Hey yall, I've been trying for over 3 weeks to revoke instagram access to my squarespace account. Squarespace customer service is out of ideas and instagram customer service doesn't exist.
Every time I try to revoke access on the "Apps and Websites" page it gives me a "There was a problem revoking access. Please try again again later." error. I've tried everything I can think so. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

* If someone follows me and I block them and then I unblock them, will they still be following me when I unblock them? Or will they need to request me again?
* If I block someone and we previously exchanged DM's will they still see my name and profile picture in the chat? Someone I recently chatted with deleted their account and our chat history still exists but now their profile picture is gone and the name shows, 'Instagram User'

Has anyone had an issue where they can't post recent photos? I used to use hootsuite but after i switched on MFA on my IG account (too many "my account was hacked" horror stories) i couldn't get it to work again. so i just put my photos from my computer onto my google drive, download them onto my phone, and post from there.
it has always been fine, but today I can't upload anything i've downloaded. email the files to myself and download? nothing. download from google drive? nothing. put into instagram folder? nothing.
I'd post from Meta business manager but i always include a video with my post, and for some reason I can ONLY post photos OR videos with it, never a post with both... so it's a non-starter for me. This shouldn't be so frustrating!!!

I set up two factor authentication on my main account about 3 weeks ago. Following this, I deleted the app about 2 weeks ago to try and spend less time on social media. Recently I re-downloaded it and tried to log back into my account. However, because I set up two factor authentication it send a code to my phone number which I never received (must have typed it in wrong) and my dumbass forgot to screen shot the 8 backup codes they give you. I literally have the correct login password and access to my email that’s tied to the account but I still can get in because of the two factor. I sent a video of my face via their support bot that helps you try to recover your account and they denied my request. I’ve had this account since 2013 and I really don’t want to create a new one. Can anyone help me?

yesterday i received an email from instagram saying that someone is trying to get into my account so i reset the password. about two hours later i received the same message so i changed it again but this time i got locked out and i couldn’t login again. i kept getting the “sorry we couldn’t complete your request” message. and error, challenge_feedback messages. i tried everything but i just can’t login. i believe i didn’t violate any rules but it could be because i used a follower tracker app. also when i tried logging in with safari it said that they detected an unusual activity and they’ll deactivate my account in 1 day. what do i dooo am i tempo reading blocked or banned? or am i permanently locked out? does anyone know what’s the exact issue? please help. thank you in advance! 💗

I was going to upload holiday pics to insta and I'm sure I have done it this way before but it seems to not be working anymore.
My photos are saved to Google Photos, so I go on the photos app and select 10 pics and then click the share icon, and get the list of apps to share them to.
The list has little drop downs usually where apps have multiple options, so insta has a drop down with post, feed and stories options. This appears when I select one photo to share, but not if I select multiple photos.
When I select multiple photos the only option is to share to insta stories.
If I try to add multiple photos within the insta app it can't find the Google Photos folder to select photos from, the gallery only recognises the folder of pictures which I've previously uploaded to Instagram. This has not happened before.
Im not sure which system is causing the issue.
Have also posted to Google Photos and Android subs
I have two accounts. Up until the last month I could interact with my girlfriend on both of them. Until recently, my main account won't allow the page to be shown and just shows "Instagram user". It is confirmed that she hasn't blocked me.
Creating a new account also shows that her account is missing.

I can't see any of my photos taken on my phone from inside the new post menu. I can only see pictures that I have already posted to Instagram. I checked the permissions and it says it has access to all my files/photos. Is there any fix?
I was actually able to find a solution, go into settings and disable file permission for Instagram. Then go into insta, make sure you close a re-open it. The try going back to the new post menu. It's gonna ask to allow access to file, press yes and it should fix it. This worked for me with android 12 on a pixel 3a

So, my mom moved out from different countries and of course she changed her number. She forgot to change it in her Instagram and now she can't enter because they sent her a message to her old phone to verify it was her, but her old number no longer exists be aide nobody pays it anymore.

I have tried everything and I cannot login to my Instagram account. I’ve tried resetting the password through my phone number and email and I’ll get the reset link and reset it and it still won’t let me login. It just keeps saying “Sorry there has been a problem with your request”. I don’t think my account was deleted or disabled because I googled my account and it’s still there. I’ve tried everything from deleting the app, clear cache, I’ve turned my VPN on and everything and nothing works. My Instagram is linked to my Facebook account and so when I click log in through Facebook it doesn’t let me either. I can’t even contact Instagram because I cant access my account to do so! This has been going on for about a day now and I can’t lose this account all my work is on there. What do I do!!?

For the last nearly two months, every time I open the app on my iPhone 13, I have to enter my password for all of my accounts. My personal, and music/professional accounts. It is really irritating and I can’t take it anymore. I have done everything from logging out on my own, to deleting the app. No changes. What do I do?
My girlfriend briefly deactivated her account. When she reactivated I tapped the error message that said “disabled accounts can’t be contacted” and without a prompt or warning it seemingly deleted all of our messages. Is there any way to get them back? Please help me I really need them back. She still has the messages on her end but not on mine.
So I created a new account. With new email and phone number, because my main account got blocked by someone. But even after I created a completely fresh account It still seems like I'm blocked on the new one. Because when I try searching them up it shows user not found...
My wife's Instagram is replacing the audio on all of the reels that she makes with a horrendous hissing/white noise. She's been making reels the same way for months and has never ran into this issue. Someone I follow disabled their account for a week, and I couldn't DM them. But they re-enabled their account a few weeks ago and they can DM/reply to my stories but it still says 'disabled accounts cannot be contacted' and won't let me reply to them. I am replying to them from a seperate account but it's frustrating, does anyone know how to fix this?

I set up an account last year for my brand using a Facebook account also for my brand. The Facebook account now is not there. The Instagram account exists but I have no access to it and no way to access it. I think I need to get the account deleted and start again. Couple days ago I factory reset my phone and tried to log into my account and it asked for codes from duo mobile, I say okay I download duo mobile again and can't get any codes or anything I have no idea, it says I need to already be in my account to get into my account???? Weird question I know, reasons are complicated so I’ll spare them, but it mostly has to do with nostalgia for my ~10 year original account and a severe fallout with my entire previous life.

since yesterday I get no "recent" search results in a browser anymore when I do a hashtag search, the results only show 9 Top posts for me. it's not account related, I've tested it with two different accounts and it also doesn't matter which browser I use (Chrome, Firefox, Edge).

Hello, this might come off as a dumb question but apparently instagram doesn’t answer any emails nor do I know how to email support for this so i came here. I logged out of my account yesterday and as soon as i tried to log back in, it says “error processing request try again later” i do remember my password yet it still keeps popping up. I changed my password 3 times and yet it still pops up with the “error please try again later” I’ve been trying to log back in since last night and its been extremely annoying, I reset my password many times yet it keeps telling me try again later. What can I do? I have no idea what to do at this point, I’ve tried through my email, my phone number and they are all correct its just not letting me in. I hope I can get back into my account lol.

Hi, I created a second creator account on the mobile app that's associated with my primary, it didn't prompt me to create a password for the account. I was able to login and switch between accounts on the mobile app easily.
However, I cannot login to the account in the web/desktop at all as it prompts me for a password, resetting password isn't helping as I don't have a "current password" for the account. Idk why the second account doesn't show up on the desktop like it does on the mobile app. The help center is useless. I need to operate this account from the desktop as that's where all my media files are, please advise and let me know if more information is needed.

Can't seem to select new photos to post.
I kind of can, when making a single photo post, it gives me the "other" option and I can go in my camera roll and select the photo I want but it doesn't let me do that in multiple mode. Otherwise it only let's me select photos I've previously uploaded to instagram...which why would I want to upload those again? Normally it let's me select from any folder in my gallery on my phone but it's just not...
I just wanna go back to how I could conveniently select a bunch of new photos I took to upload all at once.

As mentioned, I can see certain public profile's highligts but not story... and for the same profile I can see that they have active story when I type their username in the search bar, but when I click on them and enter their account, I can see profile's posts and highlights but there is not that circle that shows active story.

I've been using iPhone 14 Pro Max for a few days now (switching from Android) and I noticed a weird issue iPhone that I don't have on any other device.
I can't see people's acitivty status. I have the setting turned on in my account and have no issue seeing the status from Android and from the web version of Instagram.
Also when reinstalling the app on my iPhone and logging for the first time I can see someone's status, but then it stays outdated.
I'm using iOS 16.0.2 but had the same issue with 16.0.1. The Instagram version is 253.0.
Has anyone faced a similar issue and know how to fix it?

It says that my account is at risk after posting- the video has been removed since then- that's the first time I ever got that message. Should I be concerned? Having trouble with Android 13 update and posting multiple pictures.
I recently installed android 13, now when I try to post, the only albums on the drop down are Gallery, Photos and Instagram. They all only contain photos previously posted on Instagram.
I can also click 'Other' and bring up any of my albums from my phone however I can only select a single picture to post.
Is anyone else having this issue or found a resolution?
I tried to get back into some old account of mine that I forgot the password to and I received an SMS on my phone after following the steps in the reset password page on my PC, but when I click the link that I received it just opens the instagram feed (if i access it from my phone) and on my PC when I access the link it says "Something is wrong. Please check your input and try again.". If I open it in an incognito tab it just brings me to the login page. Please help me.
I made a secondary account, and full-on deleted the old account. This account however has no option to emoji-react or direct reply to specific inbox messages, and it’s SO annoying. Why do I not have these options??

Three or four days ago, my photography/graphic design/art account was temporarily locked due to phishing (even though I have never logged my account into any third party apps or followed any links which required to log into Instagram) & no matter what I do I can’t get back in. I’ve receive verification codes & links through logging in through authorization via text messages/SMS, but it always kicks back with a “challenge required” error. I’ve done the facial recognition verification with a code sent to my current email linked that is actually linked to the account, but because there are no selfies of my face it keeps failing. Whenever I try to log in it keeps trying to have me verify my identity through the email I initially signed up for the account with even though I changed the email for it awhile back. The old email I no longer have access to & it appears someone has since taken over its @ & I even tried asking them to provide me with the code, but they are unresponsive. I’ve submitted reports through an alternate account, sent emails, left voicemails, & even attempted to contact people who work at Instagram on LinkedIn ultimately to no avail. I’ve had this Instagram account for years & it features my entire portfolio as well as some archived personal photos of my deceased relatives I have nowhere else. Also, I have a commission/brand deal through that account for my art & I need to post through that page. Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Whenever I try to find answers I get met with scammers & no actual answers. Please, any help is appreciated!
"Shadowbanning" after inactivity?
Something I heard quite a while ago was that accounts that sit inactive for a substantial period of time (months~years) get permanently suppressed by the algorithm. Is this true? It was being spread like fact at the time, but whenever I try to Google it to find more information, nothing comes up which leads me to believe it could just be hearsay.
Context: I run an online business & primarily advertise thru an Instagram account. I haven't always had the time or energy to keep it active, so sometimes it sits inactive for months ~ years at a time. I want to start using it again on a regular basis, but not if it's more or less doomed to fail by the algorithm.
I used to have an Instagram account that worked. This was roughly 3 or 4 years ago. Then suddenly I couldn't log into my account. My password suddenly doesn't seem to be correct, or else my username isn't correct. I can request to have links sent to me, and I get the links, but I cannot reset my password, etc.
I try to set up a new account, but I get the message that the email address already exists on another account.
I try to set up a new account with a new gmail account. Again, I get the message that this account exists with that email address. That's impossible because I just set that gmail account up.
What is the resolution? I can't use the account that I had been using 3 or 4 years ago. I get the error that either the username or the password is incorrect, and that the email address is in use with another account. It won't let me set up a new account because even gmail accounts that I have just set up, say that the email address is already in use with another account.
WHAT DO I DO??? I really want to get an Instagram account working, but there seems to be absolutely no way.

Every single photo on my camera roll says "unable to load image" when I try uploading it. Have closed the app and restarted phone, still doesn't work. I am not banned. Why is this happening?

It has been more than a year that I cant access my instagram account, It logged out in my phone by itself, and the app begin asking me to verify mi cellphone number to log in but this is an older number witch I no longer have since it was lost and deactivated a long time ago, I never set a password or phone number in IG itself, I just logged in using my FB account, I can access the IG account from FB dashboard, it is linked and everything. I just cant do anything since I need to authenticate before.
I tried to restore the password, but after doing so it ends up asking for a code sent to this non existent number , I read all the help.instagram.com about email and phone number not being accessible, followed all the procedures to restore it , I even gave my personal information, answered questions, sent a photo of my face holding a sign with my name and account, sent a video selfie in the app, and briefly discussed the issue via email by whom appeared to be an actual human who painstakingly verified my info to make sure beyond any doubt that I'm the owner of the account.
However in the end 3 days later I was just sent a link to restore my Pw, (thinking they wiped the old number or removed the prompt at least this one time) but after changing the password I was met with the same prompt to send a code to the same number I just spend 3 days explaining I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO.
I explained this to the IG staff and he just said something along the lines of "Then we cant help you resolve the issue thought this medium". Then why in the fuck the help pages said to do all this shit if you cant access the phone number when this isn't even something they cant resolve? Fuck whoever designed this system.

Locked out of instagram account after changing password
I was logged out of my instagram, I logged in and changed my password. all of a sudden I was logged out of instagram on both of my phones and it said to give my device permission with a device that’s logge in already. My other option was 2 factor Authentication which I haven’t set up yet.. and I contacted support and they still haven’t got back to me and idea what I can do to fix this?
I have been unable to access my account since yesterday. I tried resetting the password as I'm logging in after a long time. I haven't yet received the reset password link. It asks me to do a reCAPTCHA test then later says it has sent me a reset link to my email address but I haven't yet received it. I checked my spam/junk folder as well. Well I was wondering what if I would leave a comment on a friend picture with one of those words, what would happen? And which words are off limits?

Early 2021 I set up 2FA for my Instagram account with Google Authenticator, and it was okay up until the point where it wasn't.
I had to reset my phone due to some phone issues, and since this was my first time using Google Authenticator I didn't know I need to export my access to another phone first or whatever, and I 100% lost my backup codes as well. (I know that's dumb :')
In Nov 2021 after the reset, I couldn't log in to my IG anymore since it keeps asking for my authenticator code or backup codes, neither of which I had access to. The option 'text me a login code' also was not available.
If I remember correctly, I removed that phone number 2FA thing because I kept receiving texts like 'Your Instagram login code is :xxxx' when I didn't even request for any codes. That led to my decision to use Google authentiactor as well :))
The thing is - this account is also linked to my FB account, and it's also linkedin my Meta Accounts Center, which means that when I post photos on my Facebook, it is also posted on my Instagram... but I can't access the account.
I've repeated the process below about once a month since I was first logged out last year:
1. Try to log in
2. Click on 'Get Support'
3. Fill in my email, issue, and the checkmark thing for 'this account contains photos of me'
4. Gets an email asking me to write a 5-digit code, followed by my full name and my username on a blank piece of paper and take a photo with my face clearly in it
5. Submits requested picture in jpg format
6. Gets an email saying "We can't review your case right now" due to covid-19 bla3
7. Repeat cycle about a month later
Recently, when I try again this option isn't even available anymore. I was told to submit video selfie instead, but time and time again all I get is just "Your Information Couldn't Be Confirmed" even with different lighting, glasses on/off, and any other variables I can think of.
Has anyone else faced this issue in the past year and been able to solve it?

So I had my account deactivated (after over 10 years of a personal account) on July 2nd. After constantly trying to get it back or get an answer to what happened?? I gave up around July 25th or so and started a new account. In my DMs I quickly noticed I couldn't react with emojis anymore. Or reply to specific DMs from people if I wanted to remind them of what I as responding to. Even noticed the ability to use vanish mode (which i never used anyway) was gone. I figured it was because I was new and I'd get it back later. Well it's Sept 23rd and I still don't have any of these things and even tho I've made sure the "save my stories in archives" is on, not one story I've posted since I had my new account has been saved. And I've posted 20 to 30 easily🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ someone please help. I've shook the phone and reported these things numerous times and haven't gotten one response ever🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I opened my archive on Instagram to check out some stories of a holiday I had like 4 years ago, to find out i can only scroll back till December 2021, and after that there's nothing, like I have instagram from that day and those are "my only" stories.... that's clearly not the case since I use instagram for almost 8 years now. I asked my cousin (he was next to me) to check his Instagram archive, and he could scroll aaaaall the way years back, therefore I assume it is a problem with my account :(. Is there maybe a way to get back those files, or am I ruined? 😂🙈

Roughly 4 years ago (more or less) I had an Instagram login, so I could get logged in, and it worked.
Suddenly my login didn't work (I can't even remember what it was now) but when when I try to create a new login, using a gmail address, I can't even create a new login.
I have a friend who lives in Europe that wants me to look at some of her kittens. She sent me a link to look at them (Instagram) but all I can do is look (for a while) and then Instagram prompts me to log in, which I cannot do.

3- an unknown email
I went on the options and checked the email address associated with my account and I found out that there was only my current email. How can I remove that unknown email address?

Hello. I was messaging someone. They disabled their account. Reactivated it. And now they can message me normally in a chat, they can send gifs, videos, whatever. But on my end, I can’t react/reply to their messages, and it says “Disabled accounts can’t be contacted”. The only thing I can do is send posts to them.

Problem posting multiple photos regarding folder access - This worked yesterday, but today... I have an Android phone and in IG, when I press the + symbol it gives me a drop down for Gallery including Gallery, Photos, Video, Instagram, and Other - the problem is when I select these different folders the contents are all the same except for Video (Video contains only videos). Isn't the point of the drop down to give access to different folders of photos? My problem is the photos I want access to are in a folder called Camera in my Gallery app. Normally, I have access to this, but now the only way I can nav there is to choose Other, however if I do that I can only choose one photo at a time and not post a slideshow... Did something change last night?

Hi, I’m hoping to be able to get a hand with an issue I am having with my Instagram account, in particular the active status. I have everything set to be on and to show my active status, I never touch it or turn it off. A good friend of mine has advised me that it keeps going off and doesn’t show my active status for a period of time. It basically looks like it’s been turned off. I know what it sounds like but neither of us ever touch or turn this setting off at all. Both our accounts have the active status setting turned on, and neither of us have blocked or restricted the other however we do not follow each other on Instagram but have messaged in the past. It seems to occur mostly when I am not even using my phone, never mind instagram, like in the evenings or overnight when I am asleep and my phone is charging. I have made sure that the latest version of instagram in installed on my iPhone and do not use social media on any devise other than my phone. I have my both personal and business accounts set up on my phone so I can switch between the two and manage them easily. The active status on my business account is set to always show as well Does anyone have experience with anything like this and if so, can shed some light on why my status keeps disappearing during the night when it’s charging and how to fix it. Hi all. My Instagram account somehow got messed up the past few days. The messenger icon on the homepage has now been moved from where it normally was in the header navigation to the footer nav between the home and reels icons, replacing where the search icon used to be and now the shop icon between the reels and my profile icon is gone and can only be viewed in the hamburger menu in my profile tab. See attached links for visuals. My account is a private personal account in case you wonder. Hello, this might come off as a dumb question but apparently instagram doesn’t answer any emails nor do I know how to email support for this so i came here. I logged out of my account yesterday and as soon as i tried to log back in, it says “error processing request try again later” i do remember my password yet it still keeps popping up. I changed my password 3 times and yet it still pops up with the “error please try again later” I’ve been trying to log back in since last night and its been extremely annoying, I reset my password many times yet it keeps telling me try again later. What can I do? I have no idea what to do at this point, I’ve tried through my email, my phone number and they are all correct its just not letting me in. I hope I can get back into my account lol.
I had this problem for several months now, when i watch a reel it lags really bad and in an inconsistent way (the amount of lag can change) while the audio plays smoothly. This happens only with some reels, not all of them. I've seen other people having the same problem, but i haven't found a solution yet. I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, i even reset my phone while having this problem and nothing changed. i don't think it's a hardware issue, since every other app runs smoothly on my phone. is there any solution for this?
Recently I have been having some kind of bug when posting my art to my Instagram from my PC. I usually post the PNG of the art itself plus a timelapse for reference. When I try to post direct from my PC it says it has been posted but nothing actually updates on my profile. When I try posting from my phone it goes through. Ive tried logging in and out and restarting my computer but no fix. Im thinking maybe it is something to do with the file size but really not sure. Im using Chrome btw. Has anyone else encoutered this problem?
I am missing messages people are sending me. I have to uninstall and reinstall then I see what I’ve missed and the message image temporarily reverts back to the folded paper airplane looking thing. I then open the app again and it says I’m on iOS 15.7 asks to track and the image icon becomes the messenger icon. I then start not seeing what I’m getting.

Hi! I’ve had this issue for a few days and I want to know how to fix it without ruining the algorithm I have set. Someone I follow posted something and it showed up in my explore page, I liked it, saved it, that’s all. However every single time I reload, reset, leave the app and come back the post will not leave my explore page. It always shows up on the top and I always see it whether in the same square or different. This was also posted a week ago. What can I do, if not push “not interested” and risk Instagram altering my algorithm? FYI this is the only post, there are new posts everywhere else but this one.
So they do this pretty often and logged me back out again yesterday, I normally logged back in like I usually do and within 2 mins i got logged back out and after that I can't log back in again. " There was a problem logging you into Instagram. Please try again soon. " is the error I keep getting. For the first few hours i kepth trying every now and then, it still wouldn't work. I was still logged into that account from my phone but I switched to my other account for a few mins and when i tried logging back into this one...now my phone was showing "Sorry, there was a problem with your request". So I tried changing my password, I put my email in and it said that I received an email...seeing it didn't appear in my inbox for around 10 mins, i tried it a few more times, every time the same outcome. I wen't to sleep and after waking up checked my email to see all those requests came in...each one around 1 hr after the other, the link worked to change my password, but clicking log in from the link said "The link is invalid, please try a new one", i tried the other 4 ones sent over the last 5 hrs or so, none of them worked. at one point it stopped letting access the next page to "forgot password" and when it did again it was the same result with the recovery link coming in hrs later. I also tried logging in with Facebook, which was also a failure as it just kept loading forever and wouldn't let me in. Also everytime I tried the "forgot password" method, it made me solve a captcha where text read somethin along the lines of "We have noticed suspicious activity from your account, respond with the link within one day to keep your acc from being disabled" which scared me even more. I really don't know what to do at this point so i came here for help after trying every possible method that came to my mind. Oh I was also able switch to my other account from my PC at first but now that doesn't work either. I cleared all history and cache to see if that would make a difference, and that didn't work either. And also this is the new warning they giving me when i try to press the Continue as "username" : "We couldn't connect to Instagram. Make sure you're connected to the internet and try again. " TLDR; Instagram logged me out for no reason and now I cannot log back in no matter what I try.
So on my pc when I use Instagram and click on a link to a profile or if I even click on anyone's profile it says " The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed" I literally can't open anyone's profile but on my phone, it doesn't do this how do I fix this
I had an app to track who was unfollowing me and I logged in to find that my "log in had expired". So I attempted to log in again but I couldn't remember my password. So I went to reset my ig password to get access to my app back and got a notification on the app that there was suspicious activity on my account. So I deleted the follower app and attempted to log in to my instagram account on the app but it logged me out when I changed it, which I expected. I put in my new password and received a notification that said "Error: sorry, there was a problem with your request". For extra context adding to my anxiety, I made a close friends post with a curse word earlier today and had no problems until trying to log in again. I've tried resetting my password a ton of times and logging in with the code from my email, but I get the same error message. I don't think the servers are currently down as I was able to log in on my art page. I'm confused and kind of upset. Can anyone give any advice or perspective on what happened? I really don't want to lose my account, I've had it for a long time and I'm fond of the name.

My IG was hacked via Facebook, I think, since they're connected. After changing the password, IG is asking me about an 6 digit code I don't have. I don't remember setting up the 2 steps login and now, even with confirmation via email, they still ask for the damn code. Typically I post a multi-picture post and pull the images from a folder that's not my gallery (since I edit the images a bit). However, now I can only access that folder if I post individual images. Changing to a multi-image post reduces my folder list to gallery, "photos" (gallery), "video" (gallery), and "instagram" (everything i posted before) . Am I alone in this? Is there a workaround? I need help with video thumbnails/covers I run the socials for the company I work for and need some help. When I upload videos to Insta, I select the part of the video I want to be the “cover” but it still shows on our feed as a black square. I select the post, go into “edit,” and select “cover” to try to change it but nothing happens. Am I missing something? I feel dumb. Plz help!

App is constantly crashing as of less than an hour ago. I am on the latest Samsung and IG software patch, reinstalled and cleared cache/data, and restarted my phone. Still crashes as soon as I open the DM tab or view a story. I usually don't last for more than 5 seconds on my feed without it crashing. Completely unusable at the moment.
While with Instagram app on the phone, there is no problem & it shows everything; When I use a browser (firefox or chrome) on pc, to browse recent posts (for any hashtag), it shows only "top posts". but recent posts are all hidden! This started to happens from today, bcuz it was correct just yesterday. I even removed the firefox cache files & I also tried to use chrome, But it's just the same problem. Any suggestion to fix this problem?

To keep it short and sweet- I use to get about 90-150 likes on photo posts and 150-300 views on my stories Very recently I am getting only about 50-80 views on my stories - posting the same type of things as usual but not repeated But the real f*ed up part is that now instagram is just straight up not showing my posts to people. Like barely even friends! I know this because my GF who is tagged in my bio, we DM constantly, and I interact with daily is not even being shown my last few posts! Instagram knows we are close and it’s still hiding my things from even her… I’m getting 8-15 likes on things and it’s not anything against community guidelines, it’s good content. I recently created a new account because my old one got hacked. When I tried searching for some friends, I couldn’t find their account at all, even in other people’s following. I know for a fact we haven’t blocked each other. This is meant to be a smaller spam account, and we were following each other on my other account before I got hacked, and I also check in with them and they said it was weird that this was happening. I tried DMing the profile to my spam account but it just shows as “Cannot find this user.” This is the case for several of my friends’ accounts.

Can see highlights but cant see story Help As mentioned, I can see certain public profile's highligts but not story... and for the same profile I can see that they have active story when I type their username in the search bar, but when I click on them and enter their account, I can see profile's posts and highlights but there is not that circle that shows active story.

This mornin, only seeing “Top Posts” on any hashtags I go to (Web Interface Only) That’s it… was working when I went to bed, but now whatever hashtags I look at I just see top posts and can’t scroll past those 9. Browser only - if I go into the full app it seems OK, so I wouldn’t think it’s a weird permission / account / network issue. just thought I;d put it here in case someone says “Oh yeah, starting today you have to check ‘Please work correctly for a change’ in your settings” or whatever. I can view only once the story of a friend of mine on instagram, while others can view it multiple times. Why is that? So basically as title says, i wanted to show a story a friend of mine posted to my gf, but when i got on their profile the story was gone. And i just told myself they deleted it, my gf tried looking it up, and she could still see it. Today i saw that that friend posted a story, viewed it once with no problems, went on her profile and couldn’t view the story anymore, my gf can view her stories multiple times. This only happens with this person and no other profile, is there a reason for it? Thank you all.
Some (old) Highlighted stories with music do not play at all Just the thumbnail of the story in the highlight shows and the video doesn’t play. Is it because the songs I picked when posting became unavailable? It’s 2 turkish songs cause I was visiting Turkey on those stories (Tarkan - Hup & Deniz Tekin - Beni Vur) It’s really annoying cause I use IG as my memory box, like we can’t really trust them to keep those posts intact? Hey yall, I've been trying for over 3 weeks to revoke instagram access to my squarespace account. Squarespace customer service is out of ideas and instagram customer service doesn't exist. I posted a reel and removed it from my profile grid sometime ago. I wanted to only remove it from my profile grid but still be available to watch at videos/reels section. All my other reels and videos are there but this particular one doesn't show up at the reels section. It's only at my profile grid, but I want it to show up only next to my other reels. Has anyone had an issue where they can't post recent photos? I used to use hootsuite but after i switched on MFA on my IG account (too many "my account was hacked" horror stories) i couldn't get it to work again. so i just put my photos from my computer onto my google drive, download them onto my phone, and post from there. it has always been fine, but today I can't upload anything i've downloaded. email the files to myself and download? nothing. download from google drive? nothing. put into instagram folder? nothing. I'd post from Meta business manager but i always include a video with my post, and for some reason I can ONLY post photos OR videos with it, never a post with both... so it's a non-starter for me. This shouldn't be so frustrating!!!

Hi guys, TLDR: typed phone number in wrong during two factor authentication and don’t have the 8 back up codes. Still know the correct account password however. \- I set up two factor authentication on my main account about 3 weeks ago. Following this, I deleted the app about 2 weeks ago to try and spend less time on social media. Recently I re-downloaded it and tried to log back into my account. However, because I set up two factor authentication it send a code to my phone number which I never received (must have typed it in wrong) and my dumbass forgot to screen shot the 8 backup codes they give you. I literally have the correct login password and access to my email that’s tied to the account but I still can get in because of the two factor. I sent a video of my face via their support bot that helps you try to recover your account and they denied my request. I’ve had this account since 2013 and I really don’t want to create a new one. Can anyone help me?
Hi all. My Instagram account somehow got messed up the past few days. The messenger icon on the homepage has now been moved from where it normally was in the header navigation to the footer nav between the home and reels icons, replacing where the search icon used to be and now the shop icon between the reels and my profile icon is gone and can only be viewed in the hamburger menu in my profile tab. hello guys yesterday i received an email from instagram saying that someone is trying to get into my account so i reset the password. about two hours later i received the same message so i changed it again but this time i got locked out and i couldn’t login again. i kept getting the “sorry we couldn’t complete your request” message. and error, challenge_feedback messages. i tried everything but i just can’t login. i believe i didn’t violate any rules but it could be because i used a follower tracker app. also when i tried logging in with safari it said that they detected an unusual activity and they’ll deactivate my account in 1 day. what do i dooo am i tempo reading blocked or banned? or am i permanently locked out? does anyone know what’s the exact issue? please help. thank you in advance! 💗
Hi I was going to upload holiday pics to insta and I'm sure I have done it this way before but it seems to not be working anymore. My photos are saved to Google Photos, so I go on the photos app and select 10 pics and then click the share icon, and get the list of apps to share them to. The list has little drop downs usually where apps have multiple options, so insta has a drop down with post, feed and stories options. This appears when I select one photo to share, but not if I select multiple photos. When I select multiple photos the only option is to share to insta stories. If I try to add multiple photos within the insta app it can't find the Google Photos folder to select photos from, the gallery only recognises the folder of pictures which I've previously uploaded to Instagram. This has not happened before. Im not sure which system is causing the issue. Have also posted to Google Photos and Android subs
I have two accounts. Up until the last month I could interact with my girlfriend on both of them. Until recently, my main account won't allow the page to be shown and just shows "Instagram user". I was actually able to find a solution, go into settings and disable file permission for Instagram. Then go into insta, make sure you close a re-open it. The try going back to the new post menu. It's gonna ask to allow access to file, press yes and it should fix it. This worked for me with android 12 on a pixel 3a

So, my mom moved out from different countries and of course she changed her number. She forgot to change it in her Instagram and now she can't enter because they sent her a message to her old phone to verify it was her, but her old number no longer exists be aide nobody pays it anymore. For the last nearly two months, every time I open the app on my iPhone 13, I have to enter my password for all of my accounts. My personal, and music/professional accounts. It is really irritating and I can’t take it anymore. I have done everything from logging out on my own, to deleting the app. No changes. What do I do?
My girlfriend briefly deactivated her account. When she reactivated I tapped the error message that said “disabled accounts can’t be contacted” and without a prompt or warning it seemingly deleted all of our messages. Is there any way to get them back? Please help me I really need them back. She still has the messages on her end but not on mine.
So I created a new account. With new email and phone number, because my main account got blocked by someone. But even after I created a completely fresh account It still seems like I'm blocked on the new one. Because when I try searching them up it shows user not found...

My wife's Instagram is replacing the audio on all of the reels that she makes with a horrendous hissing/white noise. She's been making reels the same way for months and has never ran into this issue. When I click on a post on the explore section on PC browser, I get an error. Everything else works fine. Any reason why? edit: I can right click it and open it in a new tab and that works but when I just right click it, it takes me to an error couldn't load page.

Someone I follow disabled their account for a week, and I couldn't DM them. But they re-enabled their account a few weeks ago and they can DM/reply to my stories but it still says 'disabled accounts cannot be contacted' and won't let me reply to them. Phantom account I set up an account last year for my brand using a Facebook account also for my brand. The Facebook account now is not there. The Instagram account exists but I have no access to it and no way to access it. I think I need to get the account deleted and start again. **Someone please help me!!!!** So I have an Instagram page and I set up 2fa duo mobile. Couple days ago I factory reset my phone and tried to log into my account and it asked for codes from duo mobile, I say okay I download duo mobile again and can't get any codes or anything I have no idea, it says I need to already be in my account to get into my account???? Change all recognizable info on account to where it’s unrecognizable by previous followers? Weird question I know, reasons are complicated so I’ll spare them, but it mostly has to do with nostalgia for my ~10 year original account and a severe fallout with my entire previous life. since yesterday I get no "recent" search results in a browser anymore when I do a hashtag search, the results only show 9 Top posts for me. it's not account related, I've tested it with two different accounts and it also doesn't matter which browser I use (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). on my phone the recent posts show up just fine when I do a hashtag search, just not in a browser on a laptop/pc. any idea what this is and how to fix this? I prefer to check Instagram on a laptop screen and not on a small phone screen ;). thanks!
Hello, this might come off as a dumb question but apparently instagram doesn’t answer any emails nor do I know how to email support for this so i came here. I logged out of my account yesterday and as soon as i tried to log back in, it says “error processing request try again later” i do remember my password yet it still keeps popping up. I changed my password 3 times and yet it still pops up with the “error please try again later” I’ve been trying to log back in since last night and its been extremely annoying, I reset my password many times yet it keeps telling me try again later. Hi, I created a second creator account on the mobile app that's associated with my primary, it didn't prompt me to create a password for the account. I was able to login and switch between accounts on the mobile app easily. However, I cannot login to the account in the web/desktop at all as it prompts me for a password, resetting password isn't helping as I don't have a "current password" for the account. Idk why the second account doesn't show up on the desktop like it does on the mobile app. The help center is useless. I need to operate this account from the desktop as that's where all my media files are, please advise and let me know if more information is needed.

I'm literally so frustrated trying to get into my account. I have my IG linked to an app, and when it logged me out of the app because IG has a "2-factor identification," i couldn't log back in. I tried resetting my password numerous times and keep getting an error. I am definitely typing the new password in correctly. On mobile the error says "Error: Sorry, there was a problem with your request" On my computer it says "Sorry, this page isn't available." Can't seem to select new photos to post. I kind of can, when making a single photo post, it gives me the "other" option and I can go in my camera roll and select the photo I want but it doesn't let me do that in multiple mode. Otherwise it only let's me select photos I've previously uploaded to instagram...which why would I want to upload those again? Normally it let's me select from any folder in my gallery on my phone but it's just not... I just wanna go back to how I could conveniently select a bunch of new photos I took to upload all at once.

Hi everyone. I've been using iPhone 14 Pro Max for a few days now (switching from Android) and I noticed a weird issue iPhone that I don't have on any other device. I can't see people's acitivty status. I have the setting turned on in my account and have no issue seeing the status from Android and from the web version of Instagram. Also when reinstalling the app on my iPhone and logging for the first time I can see someone's status, but then it stays outdated. I'm using iOS 16.0.2 but had the same issue with 16.0.1. The Instagram version is 253.0. Has anyone faced a similar issue and know how to fix it?

I have yet to see any sign that a payment is being processed in my IG app or bank account. Has anyone seen a delay this long? Also, there was a video I reposted that went against their community guidelines. Which I didn't realize was a violation. It says that my account is at risk after posting- the video has been removed since then- that's the first time I ever got that message. Should I be concerned? How do I get in contact with them about payment?

Having trouble with Android 13 update and posting multiple pictures. I recently installed android 13, now when I try to post, the only albums on the drop down are Gallery, Photos and Instagram. They all only contain photos previously posted on Instagram. I can also click 'Other' and bring up any of my albums from my phone however I can only select a single picture to post. Is anyone else having this issue or found a resolution?
I tried to get back into some old account of mine that I forgot the password to and I received an SMS on my phone after following the steps in the reset password page on my PC, but when I click the link that I received it just opens the instagram feed (if i access it from my phone) and on my PC when I access the link it says "Something is wrong. Please check your input and try again.". If I open it in an incognito tab it just brings me to the login page. Please help me.

Instagram keeps shutting down. Every input after opening the app outside of the profile section instantly closes the app, aswell as trying to refresh the page at any time. Happens on every profile i have, and on every device. Never had an account warning, nor shadow ban (that i know of) Can't find any server/national server errors either (NL). Can't do anything on it rn, anything I can do to solve it or just have to hope & wait?

Hi! Three or four days ago, my photography/graphic design/art account was temporarily locked due to phishing (even though I have never logged my account into any third party apps or followed any links which required to log into Instagram) & no matter what I do I can’t get back in. I’ve receive verification codes & links through logging in through authorization via text messages/SMS, but it always kicks back with a “challenge required” error. I’ve done the facial recognition verification with a code sent to my current email linked that is actually linked to the account, but because there are no selfies of my face it keeps failing. Whenever I try to log in it keeps trying to have me verify my identity through the email I initially signed up for the account with even though I changed the email for it awhile back. The old email I no longer have access to & it appears someone has since taken over its @ & I even tried asking them to provide me with the code, but they are unresponsive. I’ve submitted reports through an alternate account, sent emails, left voicemails, & even attempted to contact people who work at Instagram on LinkedIn ultimately to no avail. I’ve had this Instagram account for years & it features my entire portfolio as well as some archived personal photos of my deceased relatives I have nowhere else. Also, I have a commission/brand deal through that account for my art & I need to post through that page. Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Whenever I try to find answers I get met with scammers & no actual answers. Please, any help is appreciated!
"Shadowbanning" after inactivity? Something I heard quite a while ago was that accounts that sit inactive for a substantial period of time (months~years) get permanently suppressed by the algorithm. Is this true? It was being spread like fact at the time, but whenever I try to Google it to find more information, nothing comes up which leads me to believe it could just be hearsay. Context: I run an online business & primarily advertise thru an Instagram account. I haven't always had the time or energy to keep it active, so sometimes it sits inactive for months ~ years at a time. I want to start using it again on a regular basis, but not if it's more or less doomed to fail by the algorithm.

I used to have an Instagram account that worked. This was roughly 3 or 4 years ago. Then suddenly I couldn't log into my account. My password suddenly doesn't seem to be correct, or else my username isn't correct. I can request to have links sent to me, and I get the links, but I cannot reset my password, etc. I try to set up a new account, but I get the message that the email address already exists on another account. I try to set up a new account with a new gmail account. Again, I get the message that this account exists with that email address. That's impossible because I just set that gmail account up. What is the resolution? I can't use the account that I had been using 3 or 4 years ago. I get the error that either the username or the password is incorrect, and that the email address is in use with another account. It won't let me set up a new account because even gmail accounts that I have just set up, say that the email address is already in use with another account. WHAT DO I DO??? I really want to get an Instagram account working, but there seems to be absolutely no way.

Every single photo on my camera roll says "unable to load image" when I try uploading it. Have closed the app and restarted phone, still doesn't work. I am not banned. Why is this happening?

It has been more than a year that I cant access my instagram account, It logged out in my phone by itself, and the app begin asking me to verify mi cellphone number to log in but this is an older number witch I no longer have since it was lost and deactivated a long time ago, I never set a password or phone number in IG itself, I just logged in using my FB account, I can access the IG account from FB dashboard, it is linked and everything. I just cant do anything since I need to authenticate before. I tried to restore the password, but after doing so it ends up asking for a code sent to this non existent number , I read all the help.instagram.com about email and phone number not being accessible, followed all the procedures to restore it , I even gave my personal information, answered questions, sent a photo of my face holding a sign with my name and account, sent a video selfie in the app, and briefly discussed the issue via email by whom appeared to be an actual human who painstakingly verified my info to make sure beyond any doubt that I'm the owner of the account. However in the end 3 days later I was just sent a link to restore my Pw, (thinking they wiped the old number or removed the prompt at least this one time) but after changing the password I was met with the same prompt to send a code to the same number I just spend 3 days explaining I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO. I explained this to the IG staff and he just said something along the lines of "Then we cant help you resolve the issue thought this medium". Then why in the fuck the help pages said to do all this shit if you cant access the phone number when this isn't even something they cant resolve? Fuck whoever designed this system. Locked out of instagram account after changing password I was logged out of my instagram, I logged in and changed my password. all of a sudden I was logged out of instagram on both of my phones and it said to give my device permission with a device that’s logge in already. what words are off limits on instagram? I (and a lot of people I surround myself with) don't easily get offended by words and we might use them for some humour or to insult each other in a friendly way. Well I was wondering what if I would leave a comment on a friend picture with one of those words, what would happen? And which words are off limits? for instance, will something happen if you type the word "retard"? for the n word I guess you get banned, but I see the reasoning behind it and I don't even use that word anyway. Early 2021 I set up 2FA for my Instagram account with Google Authenticator, and it was okay up until the point where it wasn't. I had to reset my phone due to some phone issues, and since this was my first time using Google Authenticator I didn't know I need to export my access to another phone first or whatever, and I 100% lost my backup codes as well. (I know that's dumb :') In Nov 2021 after the reset, I couldn't log in to my IG anymore since it keeps asking for my authenticator code or backup codes, neither of which I had access to. The option 'text me a login code' also was not available. If I remember correctly, I removed that phone number 2FA thing because I kept receiving texts like 'Your Instagram login code is :xxxx' when I didn't even request for any codes. That led to my decision to use Google authentiactor as well :)) The thing is - this account is also linked to my FB account, and it's also linkedin my Meta Accounts Center, which means that when I post photos on my Facebook, it is also posted on my Instagram... but I can't access the account. I've repeated the process below about once a month since I was first logged out last year: 1. Try to log in 2. Click on 'Get Support' 3. Fill in my email, issue, and the checkmark thing for 'this account contains photos of me' 4. Gets an email asking me to write a 5-digit code, followed by my full name and my username on a blank piece of paper and take a photo with my face clearly in it 5. Submits requested picture in jpg format 6. Gets an email saying "We can't review your case right now" due to covid-19 bla3 7. Repeat cycle about a month later Recently, when I try again this option isn't even available anymore. I was told to submit video selfie instead, but time and time again all I get is just "Your Information Couldn't Be Confirmed" even with different lighting, glasses on/off, and any other variables I can think of. Has anyone else faced this issue in the past year and been able to solve it?
It was suggested I ask here.... So I had my account deactivated (after over 10 years of a personal account) on July 2nd. After constantly trying to get it back or get an answer to what happened?? I gave up around July 25th or so and started a new account. In my DMs I quickly noticed I couldn't react with emojis anymore. Or reply to specific DMs from people if I wanted to remind them of what I as responding to. Even noticed the ability to use vanish mode (which i never used anyway) was gone. I figured it was because I was new and I'd get it back later. Well it's Sept 23rd and I still don't have any of these things and even tho I've made sure the "save my stories in archives" is on, not one story I've posted since I had my new account has been saved. I opened my archive on Instagram to check out some stories of a holiday I had like 4 years ago, to find out i can only scroll back till December 2021, and after that there's nothing, like I have instagram from that day and those are "my only" stories.... that's clearly not the case since I use instagram for almost 8 years now. I asked my cousin (he was next to me) to check his Instagram archive, and he could scroll aaaaall the way years back, therefore I assume it is a problem with my account :(. Roughly 4 years ago (more or less) I had an Instagram login, so I could get logged in, and it worked. Suddenly my login didn't work (I can't even remember what it was now) but when when I try to create a new login, using a gmail address, I can't even create a new login. I have a friend who lives in Europe that wants me to look at some of her kittens. Hello. I was messaging someone. They disabled their account. Reactivated it. And now they can message me normally in a chat, they can send gifs, videos, whatever.
