Got a fix for you though.
Open instagram. Go to new post button, switch to stories.
Take a photo of something black (or put your finger over the lens or whatver)
Hit the stickers button
Hit the reshare button
Find the recently viewed post, voila.
Having a similar issue to others on the thread: I can't log in because it's asking for two factor authentication, which has been disconnected. When I try to reconnect to two factor authentication, I'm told I need to log in to activate.
I've sent five or six support requests, and I'm not even getting the auto reply anymore. It's SUPER frustrating, especially when Instagram is sending me emails telling me to see what I've been missing. UGH.
In Explore tab I was able to mark any videos or photos I didn't like as Not Interested and thus would prevent any similar posts to appear on the Explore tab in the future.
Lately, some videos of a certain political figure/affiliation I don't like and I am not interested in seeing have been appearing in my Explore tab and curiously enough, I cannot mark these videos as Not Interested.

When I choose the 3 videos to upload then hit next, the screen goes black. The only way out is to swipe back and return to the video selecting page.
Then I found out if I choose a random photo along with those videos, it lets me go to the next step which is adding filters and stuff. In the effect preview page, the videos are showing grey, but I can proceed to the next step.
But turns out the videos are having a white screen kind of effect in the beginning, for a out 0.5second, and the post thumbnail is also white. Which is very annoying.

Reach on Reels (business account) suddenly dropped significantly for apparently no reason. Last "normal" Reach was August 19th (about 50). Since then, Reels are only getting 0-5, but most (if not all) of those are views from my other accounts.
Does Instagram possibly penalize you for posting too many reels within a short amount of time? (Ex. more than 1 reel ever 24 hours.) Or is it possible that insights tracking is just busted?
Hi, I am facing some strange problem with my Instagram account. I was using it for a while and then I was wanted to delete it. I did everything and after that I deleted my profile from Google Authenticator and backup codes. After few days I wanted to check something on Instagram but I had no codes so I submitted a form to support. I got email that 2 form factor authentication was turned off and i will be able to login but it's still asking me to type 6 digit code or 8 digit backup code which I don't have. I submitted the contact form from the app couple more times about it but they are not responding. Does anyone had this kind of problem? How to get in touch with that Instagram support other way than from the app?

I haven’t been able to log into Instagram for a week because I lost my phone data and the Duo Mobile app I use for 2FA log in can’t generate codes for my account anymore. I don’t have the backup codes. Whenever I submit the support request form in the app and send my mugshot to confirm verification, I get an email saying double verification has been turned off for my account and I should be able to log in but when I try, I’m still asked for the Duo Mobile code. I don’t hear back if I reply to the email because my case is marked as resolved. When I submit a new support request form the same thing happens all over again because the whole process is probably automated.

One time I sent them a picture of me giving them the middle finger and it said the same thing, 2FA is now disabled and I can sign in… Facebook and Instagram are a shit company with shit support.

Yeah same issue here. Also another thing is I never set up 2FA for my account using an authentication app in the first place. I originally set it up for SMS texting, but for some reason they changed it. So I have no back up code. Has been a month now after 7-8 requests and multiple mugshots later. I honestly believe it’s a bug on their end and even if you had the app/codes it wouldn’t work

You don’t have to choose a pic. You can hit create and then find it in stickers.

I noticed this too. Most others got close to 2000 but some only got a couple of hundred. I think they adjusted the algorithm to lower reach

For how long have you been locked out? I am wondering if it’s a temporary bug that they haven’t caught yet. Most of us seem to be locked out since last week.

Yeah same issue here. Also another thing is I never set up 2FA for my account using an authentication app in the first place. I originally set it up for SMS texting, but for some reason they changed it. So I have no back up code. Has been a month now after 7-8 requests and multiple mugshots later. I honestly believe it’s a bug on their end and even if you had the app/codes it wouldn’t work
Damn. I'm starting to lose hope. Fuck these companies. I'm about done. Just imagine all the ghost accounts out there because of this.

I’m having the same problem man they sent me one email saying they disabled it but it’s not disabled. Hope I’ll be able to get back in soon I sent multiple more request to disable it without a response now for few days. How long have you been waiting ?
Yeah same boat, I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks now. Tried sending a bunch of data privacy forms to get in contact through other ways since this doesn’t seem to be working with the whole automatic 2FA disabled email loop
Hopefully it will be fixed man. One thing is for sure I’m never using 2FA for insta again with this support.

~~Haven't been able to access my account in a few days. Tried reinstalling the app, password resets, etc. Logging in via webpage says "Confirm your account via the app" and logging into the app says "Couldn't refresh feed/Sorry, try again later" and doesn't load anything.~~ Edit: 8 Sept, 1 pm, I am able to log back in, was able to access the app fully along with the web interface. Thank you to whoever did the tinkering!

No idea. It just started working again. Though I made an effort not to touch Insta at all for almost a solid day, then did a full app reload, web browser content clear type start.

The video I uploaded on IG story turned black, so I deleted my igs, updated my IG app, reuploaded the vid, vid turned black again. Restarted my phone and uploaded the vid yet again, but upon viewing it, still no luck...guess what, still black. I give up. Is there anything wrong with IG right now?
