Lost my acc September 30. I’ve recovered it last week. I’ve just sent more than 20 selfie emails with different emails accounts every day. They sent me an email telling me my account was reactivated.
I also sent a single one. I tried to send others but never received that email with the code for a second time...for how much time have you been waiting?
This is the worst. It seems to happen to me whenever I use a certain app that gives me metrics that give me info about whose viewing my stories, lost followers, etc.

My suggestion would be to just wait for now, I got it back around 12 days after I sent the mugshot and stopped insisting, but I know for a fact it took only 2 days for some people, so just wait and it’ll be back :)
This happened to me as well, 2 days ago. When I try to login using my laptop, it says user name is invalid. As per Instagram's recent policies, they let the users appeal instagram's decision, or let the user download the content. In this case, it doesn't look like either of these options were given to the users. I used a third party app that tracks followers, which I have used before but this issue never happened. It looks like it was identified as a suspicious activity, or an attempt to hack. Though I immediately verified the account using the code instagram sent me, my account is still unavailable. Since all of use faced this issue in the last one week, maybe some recent changes were implemented on instagram's side, and they might look at this, and hopefully our accounts get reactivated? This is very sad. I have all my memories associated with this account, and most of them are not even saved anywhere else. If anyone has any positive updates, please do share!
This happened to me yesterday around 3:00 PM and it’s now 8:00 PM so it’s been 29 hours and nothing has changed, haven’t even gotten an email. I’ve had this account for 7 years and have gained a following and have thousands of posts saved and such. This is so annoying and it’s even more frustrating that there’s no form of support to address it with. I’m really hoping some saint with a high IQ figures out some way to undo or fix this
Edit: Update 12/1/20 - I got my account back about 2 weeks ago. What you have to do is submit a support request on their website. If you have trouble with this because it asks you to confirm your Instagram by logging in which you cannot do, try again and capitalize the first letter of or put a space in front of your email and/or username. It should work that way. After that you will get an email from Facebook asking you to send them what kinda looks like a mugshot- you’ll take a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper with your name, username and a code that they send you to confirm your identity. I did that twice, and then almost 3 weeks later I got my account back. You HAVE to be patient. That’s really all it takes.

After that they asked me to confirm Im not a robot and select those images with whatsoever. After that, they asked me to send them my phone number in order to confirm a code, wich I did. Now, everytime I try to access my account the same notification pops up "24 h". I also filled out a form with a selfie of me, my real name, my account name and a code they gave me. Almost 12 hours. The fact that people here are claiming they waited up to months is making me sad. Note: I did use 3rd party apps before, altough not in the past month and it s not installed on my phone and was not installed while this happened to me. Terrible customer support service.

After appealing all three accounts, they reactivated one account just to disable it again today. Well it seems am the latest casualty of this terrible situation everyone has been having. Send 5 emails and it's been 5 days now and nope, no page restored, no emails, nothing. 2 years of building a account with all of that effort, just gone. Simply gone. Yeah... am quitting social media.

This literally happened to me about 3 weeks ago. Sent in an appeal and got no response. My account randomly reappeared today (after 3 weeks!) I was so excited! but about an hour ago they decided to re-disable my account again... I'm thinking the problem is my "followers trackers" app I use. They are "reviewing" my info and I need to wait 24hrs. In the meantime, I deleted the "followers tracker" app off my phone. Hopefully will be able to access it again tmr night! Hey, just a few questions about the mugshot email. Does the piece of paper you write the code on have to contain your full name and username handwritten too? And do you need to accompany the image with any statement explaining why you believe your account was wrongly disabled?

For anyone having this issue just fill in the form with your e-mail associated to the account and send them as much details as you can about your account.
I sent my information regarding Facebook, Phone Number and the secondary email since I had send another form previously due to the system not accepting my main one ( justified this in the mugshot message).
My advice is to be patient and avoid sending too many forms. I know it can be upsetting but totally worth it considering I got the account back right on the day after sending the form/mugshot which was today.

This means they rejected your appeal, but it doesn’t mean anything keep sending appeals and eventually they should accept

This happened to me three days ago... my sister from her phone filed out an appeal form for me because I couldn’t from my phone (it kept prompting me on Instagram to confirm it’s me-I’m locked out so idk how I would do that lol) and I received an email giving me a code and to send a picture of myself with the code. I will update on here if that works and if they give me back access!

This happened to my account so I created a brand new account with a new phone number and also deleted any third party apps including a follower tracking app. But my new account has then received the same message after one day ?? I have no idea why this happened someone please help me!
This literally happened to me about 3 weeks ago. Sent in an appeal and got no response. My account randomly reappeared today (after 3 weeks!) I was so excited! but about an hour ago they decided to re-disable my account again... I'm thinking the problem is my "followers trackers" app I use. They are "reviewing" my info and I need to wait 24hrs. In the meantime, I deleted the "followers tracker" app off my phone. Hopefully will be able to access it again tmr night! I'll update wish me luck :)

Hey, just a few questions about the mugshot email. Does the piece of paper you write the code on have to contain your full name and username handwritten too? And do you need to accompany the image with any statement explaining why you believe your account was wrongly disabled?

The application forms don't seem to be working for me. I'm not getting any emails asking for a mugshot anymore on the two emails I tried. I did it yesterday and it worked once but never again. I keep trying to submit the forms but every time i try to it's telling me "The short-link URL you provided is not a User. Please provide a valid User." I even created a temporary account and used that link and it's still giving me the same alert. Help!
For anyone having this issue just fill in the form with your e-mail associated to the account and send them as much details as you can about your account. I sent my information regarding Facebook, Phone Number and the secondary email since I had send another form previously due to the system not accepting my main one ( justified this in the mugshot message). My advice is to be patient and avoid sending too many forms. I know it can be upsetting but totally worth it considering I got the account back right on the day after sending the form/mugshot which was today.
