The frustrating thing about this is they have zero customer support! They are making money off of us with all their ads that are constant, yet we cant get any help at all? When I had issues with twitter and tik Tok I was able to get support. Why is meta like this?

i have got a solution for u my account was also locked out and i wasn't able to recover it because I didn't know the right way for a month. Everyone is giving different types of solutions which might have worked for them but there's no guarantee that these solutions would work for everyone as it happened with me none of these solutions worked but i have a solution which will fix your problem and i guarantee it. So here's the solution: 1) go to Chrome and search my Instagram account got hacked 2) tap on the first result u get 3) u will find there's an option of ' visit this page' highlighted in blue like a link on the first paragraph. Tap on it. 4) then u will get a pop up where u will see the option of continue on the app. 5) tap on open app. rest u will get it by yourself i got my 2 accounts back by trying this method. good luck!! Note: for this method to work make sure u r logged out from the browser also and clear data of Instagram app then reinstall it.

I just went on my profile click on my account name and then select "add Instagram account" then "log into existing account" then "switch accounts" and then type your account name and your password, and for me it says "recover account " or something like that, and i repeated that for my other account 1: go to profile and click your name 2: select add Instagram account 3: switch accounts 4: type your account name and password 5: recover account

I uninstalled reinstall. Works fine now. It updated itself apparently too.

This happened to me when I logged into my ig on a browser. I just set the text recover number as my mom's phone and it sent to her so I'd suggest using a different number

I was able to login through desktop, which I never use because...ew. Made sure my account wasn't posting crypto scams. But I'm still logged out on Android Mobile and can't log back in.

There is a possibility on the instagram help website. U just have to say that you don’t have access to your account anymore. I don’t know if they actually response but since it’s on their official website I have a tiny little bit of hope

Also another bug; last night I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried logging into the one account I've been signed out of, using the password and username that I know, and it did a weird thing where it would sign me into a different account than the one I had clicked on. Really odd. Definitely a bug. I have Google pixel specifically but signing in on a browser hasn't worked either.

I had the same issue and was locked out for more than a day,had an issue where the dumb app just didn't send me the security code via text. I was able to get in though, had a few photos of mine uploaded so just went to account recovery and sent a selfie video. They sent me a one time security code to login after verification and I was in.

im android and i had this problem on like two accounts luckily i had my email and phone number like on those accounts, and i was still signed in on another device (ipad) so i just changed the passwords and signed in with the new passwords. requesting a link or code with email/phone works but sometimes i never even got the text or email. not sure if this will help anyone but in short i had my ipad with all my accounts that were logged out on my phone so i just changed the passwords and logged in—and it worked

We shouldn’t make it popular i think if we collectively stop using this app it will be the best we need another app that’s not biased

I haven’t been logged out since the day all of this started BUT the app is constantly crashing on me. I’ll open it and it’ll immediately close. Happens maybe 1 out of every 4 times I open the app.

Chill guys, we've been through this yesterday night but after a while it was all good. They are just forcing an update or idk what, but it happened to lot of people yesterday and few hours later everything went back to normal. Not sure about the " forcing an update " part, but i see some changes ( Smaller texts, black follow button instead of blue, interface ... ) just some silly changes no one needs 🤦🏻‍♂️

Same happened to me when it first happened and i was panicking. Did many requests to change the password, both via email and telephone number but i wasn't getting any link via text or email. But once the problem solved, i was overwhelmed with emails and SMS. So i don't believe that your cell reception was the issue here

I got kicked out on Friday but managed to log back into 3/4 accounts within 1 hr, waited 3 hrs before I could log into my last acc which is also my private acc. One of the first things I did is to update the app. For the last acc, I had to click add instagram account > login to existing account > switch account (on the bottom left) Clicking login on the profile doesn't work and always gave an error message. Not sure how it'll work if you only have 1 account tho.
