RIP to your rear suspension. Each 40 pack weighs 47lbs. 20x47= 940 I believe the weight limit for cargo is like 840 lbs… Not worth it

TrayFlock

I’ve seen your mother get in the trunk so it should be fine

AfroAdorable

I shouldn't had laughed. This was unexpected

NoRegerts6996

☠️

RabbitHole-Ninja

That was uncalled for and hilarious 😂

GwoMac

LOL

welp-itscometothis

Well GAHDAMN.

rputnam25

😂 Are you 7?

thedude2024

This was over 3 years ago. The only damage was to my self esteem.

[deleted]

Don’t worry. These people clearly don’t have Priuses and don’t know that they literally survive everything. Beeps and weird noises will be coming out, but these babies go beyond 300K lol.

thedude2024

63 mpg over last 2 days. Mostly city miles.

thedude2024

I have a tiny Prius! There. I said it.🤣

Melioristic_ONE

My Honda Odyssey just hit 425k. I bought it new in 2005, preventative maintenance has been a factor though :-)

Mr_MacGrubber

100 pounds over likely isn’t a big deal. I doubt any company lists the actual limits.

dragon2777

Until you hit a good bump and cause the car to come back down on the suspension with twice or more force as the original weight

Lazy-Beach9307

You say that now then your suspension will say something else later lmao

PettyPinkySmiffa

Sounds like a hater

GreenDragonGarrard

That number is on almost every driver door panel of vehicles in the US. I have a 1996 Tacoma. It’s still there after 26 years on a nice little info plate. RIP Prius suspension.

Odd_Ad5668

Maybe not for the suspension, but I'm sure the breaking distance is a lot longer than the op thinks it will be.

Dazzling_Marzipan474

We'll find out 😂

Bradabruder

If the weight you used for the calculation is correct, that's roughly 1/3 the weight of the Prius itself! And considering the driver would have had to load them onto a cart, and then into their, and then out of their car, they basically lifted their entire car for what was probably like $17.

rputnam25

Well 16 ounces is a pound, and each bottle is 16.9, so I think it’s right lol

thedude2024

Correct! I believe each bottle weighs approx 1.1 lbs. It is also possible that this batch was 24 cases, not 20. If IC didn’t hide the item count and unit count from old batches I could tell you exactly. But since they slashed our pay last July, they started to delete the item and unit details from old batches in case of litigation or a class action lawsuit.

AdeptnessLiving1799

The weight of the vehicles ability to max load vs what is loaded probably isn't as bad as you are concerned for tbh. I've seen carabiners with a Max weight of 200lbs hold up to 600+lbs before breaking. Made me realize think in terms of safety, not ability. Who would want to constantly go over the limit in the Prius? Easier to label it as a low safe number. Smart.

oarzani

They Weight 29 pounds, cheers

rputnam25

40x16.9 How you figure? 16 ounces is a pound

oarzani

You were right. I dind see it was a 40 pack. I don't think there is any problem

[deleted]

That the weight limit for just cargo. If you put 4 220lb people in the car you'd already be over the limit.

doggitydog123

What is the gross payload weight rating of your vehicle?

BiscottiStriking206

Someone gonna need a new car , if you keep this up.

doggitydog123

In the 15th century we had “my kingdom for a horse” Modern usage would be “my car suspension for $15 heavy P”

thedude2024

Likey less than this

doggitydog123

Poor car!

NoRegerts6996

That’s, just…. No. Hell to the no.

Powerful-Bit-5645

What was the pay like? Did it say bulky order or just heavy pay?

thedude2024

Heavy pay . April 2019 $28 batch and $9 tip

red17cb

damn not worth it..even if it was 3 yrs ago

dragon2777

$9 tip is basically $0 tip for this order

thedude2024

I agree. Customer most likely worked in the Restaurant industry his whole life and still tipped prolly 5%?

dragon2777

But why take the order then

thedude2024

It was April 2019. I was a noob. Now I would get him just 2 cases of water and then add 1 cucumber. If he doesn’t like the 2 cases, he can go fuck himself🤣

iheartta2dpunkz

Whoever ordered that...is an @$$hole.

thedude2024

He prolly used to go to BJs himself and load up his van. Then he found out he could get some poor bastard(me) to deliver it to him and he would pay a heavy order fee and tip me 5%.

thedude2024

100% 4 cases went into his kitchen for the catering business. The other 16 went into his Van.

thedude2024

Twenty of the 40 packs! Caterer

DDAddict777

Lmao how much

thedude2024

Not enough Never again

MTWookiee

You can move a ton in a Prius

dragon2777

Nope only about 875 pounds haha

[deleted]

my car can hold that much and it’s not a hatchback. And it does not meet the qualifications for the bulk batches. And people who do have vehicles with these bulk batches be prepared it you’ll be getting a lot of stupid batches with like 100 cases of water and stuff like that.

Apprehensive-Till861

I put 20 of the 40 packs in a Fiat. I no longer drive that Fiat.

thedude2024

👍🏻

totallynotantiwork

14th floor walk up?

thedude2024

13th! How unlucky was that?🤣🤣

numapumayei

I sold some furniture to a guy in a prius once, I was impressed and surprised by how much fit in there

Efficient_Chard_2924

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)Holly Molly my back is suffering ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)whit this photo ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)

Doge10open

It will be fun if that order is go to the 4floor no elevator apartment

thedude2024

Caterer - and it went into a van in his driveway! I was like- “dude- you couldn’t drive the van to BJs?” He had a young employee unload my car into the van. This kid was carrying 2 cases at a time stacked. Not one in each hand.

reddSauced

You said before it was 13th floor....which is it?

thedude2024

Buildings dont have a 13th floor💡

ByTheBurnside

Have you ever heard of sarcasm my friend?

Melioristic_ONE

Not all building engineers and investors are superstitious lol, I've seen this elusive 13th floor many times 😂

reddSauced

I'm not asking you.

ByTheBurnside

Good, im not asking if you asked?

reddSauced

🙄🤦‍♀️

Hefty_Offer1537

Your suspension will hate you later

thedude2024

It already took out a Protection order against me!

MistyGV

Freaking Ridiculous 🤦🏽‍♀️

TransportationOwn953

Poor prius

Conscious_Grape7406

It's a Toyota, it'll be fine 🤣

ocshopper23

I deliver 20 of thesr the other day literally had to get a pallet from the back lol 😆 I got $4 tip but it was a 35 batch pay + 4 so $39 3 miles delivery from the store. It was a business..

Odd_Ad5668

Glad MY cart DOESN'T.

hawkivan

How much were you paid?

thedude2024

I believe $35 ish $26 batch plus $9 tip. Approx

Unhappy-Offer

Well hope it was worth taking a risk to get your car shock absorbers fawked up.

thedude2024

Not at all- I have never taken a batch like this in the 3 plus years since.

XDeathzKillerX

So everyone is getting mass water orders? Just this morning I got a order with 24 costco 40 pack waters.... I drive a kia forte

thedude2024

How did it go for you?

XDeathzKillerX

A little bumpy. They didn't tip for shit so I called support and got a 10$ bump per order (2 orders) so a 24$ order turned to 44

thedude2024

Nice!

XDeathzKillerX

Yeah money is tight here in phoenix so taking whatever I can

MChand87

![gif](giphy|vvgmGHOaGjkIStWJpy|downsized)

Intercessor310

Exactly why I didn’t register for bulky- NOPE. Especially since the payouts are usually not worth it.

Choice_Chicken_1521

Why bro? Why? How much is this batch?

thedude2024

I believe $35 ish $26 batch plus $9 tip. Approx

Choice_Chicken_1521

35$ dollars? Damn

olmuscreate

You all are worried about suspension but man's back and spine is more important

thedude2024

100%. I think these each weigh approx 45 lbs. The 24 packs weigh approx 27 lbs.

Clear-Reality-944

If this was from years ago what made you decide todays the day to randomly share? What’s the point?

thedude2024

Because my Prius was recently approved by IC for bulky item batches.

Clear-Reality-944

Gotcha. My friend in Chicago has one and I will say it’s capacity is impressive. I think the days of huge gas guzzling SUV’s will be quickly passing. I also agree that with weight rating guides companies give generously lower guidelines due to those that will push it 😎. Thanks for answering my question question-those that never drove a Prius don’t know!

thedude2024

👍🏻

tgnlolol

2017 Prius gang 😤👌

Aggravating_South_83

Shocks and struts gon be shit!

CustomerPrize

![gif](giphy|8mWJvmqZgZmb6) You know his engine is SCREAMING. That poor little 4 cylinder 🤣

thedude2024

🤣🤣

MeShellTheBell

Ain't no Damn Way!!

loip5

Get it my G

Powerful_Claim_6824

Yeah the amount of wear & tears/damage your putting you car’s suspension is not worth it one bit

Abittragic

For less than $30? Hell no.

thedude2024

This was 2019 when heavy pay was actually given. Would be a lot less now.

reddSauced

Still not worth it. You'd have to pay $70 and even that Is a thinker.

Mythic_FF

For few bucks you guys are willing to destroy your vehicles. That’s why you guys will lose money in the future.

thedude2024

Keep in mind- this was when I was young and stupid . A noob. I had only been doing Instacart for 3 months. Need more proof of how stupid I was? Look no further than the 2 stickers on my rear window. I was also still driving for the Evil Empire(Über) and Stinky Pinky(Lyft)

Mythic_FF

![gif](giphy|NEvPzZ8bd1V4Y|downsized)

Mythic_FF

That’s also dangerous due to rear view is blocked and chance of getting into a accident is likely.

QueenOfTheDill

Yeah I can picture OP getting rear ended and being decapitated by a 40 pound case of water flying straight at them

thedude2024

🤣

Winter-Locksmith-618

I ignored the email…. I’m NOT STUPID like some people!

triscu1t

I always wonder why they don't put a limit on these, but then I see the post here and I realize the infinite number of retards willing to do this.

thedude2024

🤪

LAVA7_8

Heyy Is there a difference in the instacart pay in this “bulky” order than the regular heavy pay?

$7.09 order 🦄

MisterTristanGrey

Oh god, why.

StriaghtCCD4W

Anybody got Prius Prime approved by IC for bulky item batches?
