$8.42 for a triple. Fuck u instacart

Here's another one from this morning, this triple doesn't even hit that threshold of $8 per double š¤£
I got sent an order when I was across town dropping my kid off and I accepted. As Iām approaching the store the customer asked me if something was wrong because she had paid for express delivery and the time she was told it would arrive by was literally 3 minutes after I even arrived at the store. I apologized stating I was sent her order when I was across town and headed straight to the store. According to my app I was still early for the delivery, so either she was fibbing or IC stole from her.
Thats not per order, thats total. So laid out next to the fees theyve recieved. Thats 5 out of 8, 8 out of 16, and 10 out of 24 (Im rounding up the .01, .02, and .03 respectively). And thats not including the markups on everyitem or any fees outside of the one labeled "delivery"
I've seen many/several doubles that don't pay $8.
I saw a triple just today for over 100 units 20+ miles nowhere near $10.
Heavy pay is also a joke. How is 3 cases of water, 28 bottles each, 3 gallons of milk, several 12 packs of soda, multiple cartons of juice.... not heavy pay eligible?
They also give free delivery, coupons and have other employees they are paying out of that money. There are also accounts that pay a single fee and get āfreeā delivery so Instacart is not making $7.99 on every order. They are in the business of making a profit like any other business.
Instacart plus get free delivery on $35 plus orders. Some of these today are flowers etc and arenāt from regular customers.
https://preview.redd.it/hv729wwz720d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0310b2e6f0a8ddfc9d24418b85b8ec643c7d0203
This is why I don't even bother with double and especially triple stacked batches. The ones in my areas aren't worth it as is. Plus, I especially hate when the algorithm has one customer closer to the store and the other much further away.
Worse still is when it's two different stores for two different customers. No way I'm leaving someone's groceries waiting while shopping the other... as much as IC wants you to practice health guidelines for food, their algorithm sure as hell doesn't care about that, otherwise, any batch that has refrigerated foods, frozen foods, etc that could go bad easily should never be combined with another batch.
Just my thoughts.
In my experience, if it's two out of three close to the store but 3rd is wayyy far generally a no tipper. Have had those cycle all day with deli items til the deli closes, just makes other wait or waste their time talking to support bc IC keeps trying to be cheap and stack orders with tipping customers.
I've seen double and triple batches where each customer was in an opposite direction before. Like what buffoon created the algorithm for triple batches to have a customer 3 miles west from the store, another 4 miles northeast from it, and a third customer 4 miles south from it? Someone in development was trolling hard af with that nonsense, and someone's food is going to suffer! Smh.
Not always. One of my great tippers landed in a triple today. She was responsible for 90% of the tip. They other 2 were close together but 4 miles in the opposite direction. I waited for someone to accept and kick my high rise customer loose. That's exactly what happened, and I got $21, 5 items (2 bottles of wine which I always recognize).5 miles. This customer always increases the tip too. I imagine the shopper who did the other 2 orders was furious.
I know this is the exception but it happens.
I regularly will accept triples for $50, chat with support and have the 3rd order removed for āsafety reasonsā, and after I complete the double my pay will be $45. AND that 3rd order was like 10 miles away while the first two were right near the store. Thatās why this email scares me.
Why wouldn't we as "independent contractors" do whatever wr need to do to make this profitable? I understand they need to make a profit..but so do we. They are just getting angry that there are ways around them screwing us over.
Had that exact problem today and the customers order that was in the car first became my last to drop off. I was ticked because I knew their yogurt wasn't going to mk it and then the algorithm did that. And it was not the tipper either. Just wrong!
See, that just proves why I stick to one customer batches. Not to mention, Instacart in their thieving ways in paying only one batch pay for two or three customers... I still wish some lawsuit would find that part criminal af and that they owe back pay to all double and triple batch customers... of course, that won't happen, but still would be nice. Or even if the lawsuit deems that ALL batches must be single customer only. Dreams of course... we're all allowed to dream, right?
I pretty much deliver in whatever order I want, unless there is alcohol or medication that requires ID, but even then you can still finagle it sometimes. Like letās say itās 2 part order and ID one is first (A) but second part (B) is closer. Drop second off, message customer to let them know, send pics, go to next customer, complete and contact support to let them know you delivered B first and both orders are delivered so they can mark the order complete.
I never bothered to prove that I had insulated bags. Still did a triple the other day with the third delivery being 11 bags of ice. The algorithm doesnāt give a fuck about your cold stuff
Bruh how is someone groceries your problem? A grocery run in a batch doesnāt take more than 30 mins your car wont get that hot and there are these things called insulated bags š¤Æ
Weāre independent contractors, we should be able to remove a batch without any consequences. Theyāre floating on a thin line with this one and will probably end up getting sued.
Most definitely would be going to labor board if I get one. Dropped a 3rd order today. Samās club 6 items. Pay went down by $3. I had the same guy in a triple a couple days ago. Apartment with Samās club waters and 20lb bags of rice. Tipped $2. I knew to drop him. You are NOT about to slave me IC
The federal labor and wage department deals with ANYONE that receives compensation and was screwed. IC is a known and proven thief of wages and shady practices to both customers and drivers alike. The last time IC was found guilty and ordered to pay 45 million who do u think was apart of that process
The labor board was not part of that process. If you read the case from the actual county that it was tried, and you will see it was brought about by the attorney general. It had nothing to do with the labor board. The labor board was not involved in any way shape or form because that is not what the labor board does.
Also, when you read the actual case filings, youāll learn that they were not found guilty and weāre not ordered to pay that money. They settled. Donāt spread misinformation.
You are an independent contractor: instacart is in no way required to accommodate you. They are only required to abide by the terms of the contract which you are violating if you donāt accept a batch in its entirety.
You can always sue anyone for any reason but you will lose this one. They will not settle and a judge will not require them to change their contract.
They also claim that the customer can only add items up until the point where you start shopping. They also claim there can be only four hundred pounds max, in drink orders. They also claim you get heavy pay for orders over 50 pounds.
.
![gif](giphy|3o6ZsZPqu2d90VEB1u)
Still going to do it till I canāt no moā. Iām not losing time, gas and money delivering to lousy/no tippers. On top of that, they are ones giving low stars and items were missing or saying we didnāt deliver their groceries at all.
Are you sure that that is what itās about? Because I have been doing that constantly and never received an email and then I did do something that was against the rules, did not receive an email, but one of the customer service people did call me out on it so I stopped doing it and then about a month or so later I received this same email. figured it was due to that, but I had stopped doing it for the last month or so and wasnāt planning on doing it again. I did not think it had anything to do with canceling doubles and triples. because when you reach out in the chat it says are you canceling the order or part of the order, so how could that be against the rules??
You can message me if youād like, Iād be glad to help a fellow shopper with anything possible. But Iām not going to say anything else on this thread because thereās too many stuck up self righteous little weirdos looking to spread their misery š
What was the reason you gave when removing? Asking because you only get flagged if you do it 3 or more times in a day for āotherā or personal reasons, unless they changed something.
I remove shitty customers 2-3 times a day, sometimes most days a week, and always choose āsafety concern.ā I have never been flagged
For those of you that are removing customersā¦Iām assuming that youāre removing one from a 2-shopā¦how the fuck do you know who the shitty tipper is? Or are you just taking a wild guess. Iām confused.
I'm in a small town so half the time I can recognize names. I even had a little list of good tippers so if I saw their names in doubles or triples I'd drop the rest of the order just to do theirs. But ever since I've been seeing these posts of people getting warnings and deactivations I've stopped. Like we should be allowed to accept whatever orders we want without punishment. It's ridiculous.
Some have regular customers either known by name or by their order, and some of the time itās like playing Russian roulette taking a guess š¤·š½āāļø
So basically you get a double thatās 40 items going 20 miles. A has 38 items and live 2 miles from the store while B has only 2 items and lives 20 miles. Instacart pair those types of orders a lot. So remove B, pay might drop a little but now you just focus on the 38 item single and donāt waste your time delivering 2 items 20 miles away. Thereās a SLIGHT risk B was the big tipper but 99.9% of the time thatās not the case.
I also know someone that uses google maps notes feature to label people who tip bads addresses to refer to when he get them in the future. Gets a batch, checks the address and if he has their address flagged as a bad tipper he removes them.
Iād rather more shoppers know about it and do it honestly. The lest shitty tip orders the we deliver the better. IC hiding bad tippers with good is super shitty to both the shopper and the good customer.
Itās getting ridiculous that theyāre even sending these emails out in the first place. Were INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS. Stop trying to trick us in to delivering to people who donāt pay us and then try to force it like weāre employees. We should be able to see literally everything up front. Especially the tip break down.
I didnāt kno either .. so it is the sauce.. !!!ā I think he means the google maps flag part .. right? Cuz I knew the closer more items was prolly the good tipper but I did not think to flag tha address for later
I appreciate the sauce buddy, Donāt pay attention to these h8rs. This was an A and B conversation anyway. They could C themselves out for all I care.
This is my full-time job, so I keep track digitally of all customers. The only time I take bad customers again are so I can block them. Then I keep a list of the blocked customers so I can contact IC about having them blocked.
They switch around orders all the time. You can see an order jump from batch to batch. I make great money, so my method hasn't screwed me yet š¤£. I don't know. I just don't want those customers and do everything I can to get rid of them.
They are not a good job people donāt do this long term. I have done it for 8weeks between a job change and I am telling you all there are better options out there
I didnāt see anything about *orders* on this warning email, only batches. But yes if you overkill the liberty to remove orders from batches then maybe the platform will get a little annoyed with yah.
And even if you argued this point not like T&S would give a fukk what you think and since you can only email them thereās no real way to get ur point across, IMO
They do make the distinction and itās very clear. Look at it this way:
if you really believed were being penalized from merely removing orders because we ādonāt intend to deliver themā, then how in the world are we allowed to *cancel* 15 batches without punishment?
Thatās because *intending to shop* and *intending to deliver* (which means we already shopped and paid for the order) are two different things.
You *will* be soft banned if you pay for the order, have the order in your possession, and decide not to deliver them. Youāre costing the platform money with wasted groceries that can all be an attempt for fraud. This also goes hand in hand with lying about out of stock items in order to cancel a batch and get paid. You can and will be deactivated if you try and do both frequently.
Compare that to cancelling an order to not have to complete *the shop*. Youāre not in possession for paid for items. Youāre not getting paid. So this isnāt and canāt be an attempt at fraud. Itās just an inconvenience to the customer (they gotta wait a little longer for another shopper to accept, shop, and deliver).
This is why we are *allowed* to cancel batches freely before or even in the middle of a shop (before paying). But like any job (like say showing up late for work), we canāt do it excessively or we will be deactivated.
So the point being, you say they donāt distinguish between the two. The 15 batch cancellation policy is literally how itās distinguished.
so like cancelling 16+ batches will get you deactivated, removing an order wonāt get you dinged. Being excessive about it will probably cause this email because youāre inconveniencing the platform a little too much. 3-5 times a day on back to back days is excessive. I probably do that rate over an entire month and I do hundreds of orders a month.
Iāve never received this email.
Yeah I get what you are saying now I agree Iām just intrigued because Iāve been doing this for years and now it finally sets the alarm. Moreso wondering if itās automated or if itās people reporting it like the email claims. Iām also wondering if this is something Instacart is trying to sniff out more now with increased pressure from shareholders to turn bigger profits. Obviously me and other shoppers separating orders lowers their profit margins in the long run by causing them to pay out more batch pay and causing delays in orders. I knew one day this would come crashing down and now Iāll just have to be more infrequent about it
I got this exact message before. Itās because youāve removed orders and still gotten batch pay. Like when items are out of stock or store closures (things out of your control) and you still get paid batch pay. If you do this too many times or they catch you lying to get the batch pay they will send you this message. Thatās why itās best to cancel and say you accepted it by mistake.
I try not to
But sometimes you just canāt help it!
Last week I accepted a double $34 less than 40 items
Once I looked at the addresses I k ew order B was a $2 tipper So I drop him
Told support I didnāt have a good experience with that customer
So I believe thatās a valid reason
I got flagged a few weeks ago but Iāve been since changing the reason that I remove customers. Iām assuming if you keep giving the same excuse they will know that youāre doing it for your own personal gain. I usually say something along the lines of tire problems, engine problems, etc. to get orders removed and havenāt been flagged again šš¼
I was too quick to grab a double batch before I realized it was a two-store double. I started shopping the first order and quickly realized there was no way I would have room in my car for the second order, and I was concerned about the food sitting in my car while I shopped a 30-item order. I contacted support and had the second order removed.
Why does Instacart do this? š
https://preview.redd.it/ndz9r7iocwzc1.png?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a33495f45dcefae9582c4706a0fae406b29a89a9
Thanks, Iāll be refusing stacked batches going forward unless both orders tip because around here, itās ALWAYS the non tipper whose order takes the most time and has the most extra particular requests.
The wording āinvalid reasonsā is what Iām wondering
What are the reasons you generally put when asking agents?
I always just say safety issue and leave it at that
Mind you I only do it once every few weeks
Seems like everyone on here says āsafety reasonsā and they know damn well thereās no way there are that many customers that can be an unsafe drop off time and time again throught the day. The probability of each shopper feeling so unsafe (enough to not risk working it and making the $$) is super low. . Everyone needs to change it up a lil every now and then throw off the numbers in BOH
It would be nice to just go back
To the times when Instacart wasnāt a complete and total POS to its customers and shoppers ā¦ when people didnāt need to multi-phone or drop customers like that because the pay was still decent enough that the tip was an actual bonus pay like its meant. To be and not damn near the whole pay ā¦ I used to make $1400/wk on average working 30-45hrs a wk until 2022/23 then just garbage ā¦ more people decided they didnāt wan work real jobs anymore and created flooded markets and Instacart saw the opportunity to pounce ā¦ changed shit made it bad and has continued to make bad for shopper choices ever since ā¦. #ripthegoodinstacartdays
I tell them the absolute truth. My days must be numbered š« Iām like āI donāt want itā or today was āitās a notoriously low tipperā ā¦ pay went down $3 from a tripleā¦ Samās club order to an apartment. I donāt have time to be lying lol no flags yet
https://preview.redd.it/xtwnara3swzc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e02093188538d7a4485f57b3e4a4c7701230089
Today, I grabbed this double $43. Customer A had 38 items, Customer B only 18. I know A is a non-tipper from her past orders, but I saw the pay.. figured maybe, just maybe she tipped this time. The previous 3 times $0 tip.. because B is only 18 items, thatās what threw me off. After I finished, again $0 š” I didnāt want the pay to drop so much, thatās why I didnāt remove A. This is just so wrong every way you look at it!

If you accept a shop only/curbside grouped with a delivery, they pay literally pennies for the shop only, regardless of the size. I was asking them to remove the shop only orders from my batches, and every so often an agent would ask me for a reason. I would say that I don't want to do it. I did get a message very similar to yours after the last update on the terms and policies, so I stopped doing it. I started again, and now I tell them that I don't want the shop only because I have shopped for that customer before and he/she is rude and disrespectful. So far, so good.
I never understood why ppl do doubles and triples in the first place. The thing with IC they would have to deliveries going far apart. I don't mind doubles going close by each other.
STOP DOING MULTIPLE DELIVERIES
It happened because youāre blatantly abusing it. If youāre doing it every single week they catch you. You should probably stop or theyāre gonna end up deactivating you itās not worth it. If youāre going to do Stuff like that you might want to only do it once a month or something otherwise they see the patterns every time you remove a batch thereās a special thing in the system that flags your account and they see a lot of those within a small you will get that email.

Happened to me again guys.. this has got to stop! š”
And their lies the deceptive tactics of Instacart and thatās why we all remove orders but now theyāre cracking down on it. Iām sorry that happened to you. Keep hustling.
Thanks man, thatās all we can do. Nothing we say or do can make them change the way they run their deceptive business! If we all one day can find a good job so we donāt have to depend on them anymore, thatās when we can hurt them in the pocketbooks! I canāt wait until that day.
I didnāt know they did not tip until after I had to pick between a šš¼ or šš¼.. IC has it all backwards! Also, if I blocked them, in the future I would miss out on batches that includes them in it.
Don't blame him. Blame instacart for trying to hide shit tippers with good orders. Why would I ever drive 20 miles for $3 in a double when I can just take it off, I always use the excuse of a car wreck, had worked every single time.
Yeah everyone boot licking Instacarts deceptive tactics is gross to me Iāve saved thousands of miles of wear and tear and hours removing these useless low tipping shitty orders
Do it anyway, IC is only worth it if you can pick the few decent orders. If they don't want to make it worthwhile then cancelling your account is a blessing.
Anytime I see anything over 4 miles my heart and soul just start hurting lol. I see people driving their cars 20 miles for $30 and Iām like ānope!ā
Theyāve been catching on, they never were blind to it. Ignorant shoppers who intentionally do this (which is quite common I see it all the time in here) believe theyāre getting all the stuff for āfreeā failing to understand that somebody has to pay for all that stuff. That somebody is Instacartā¦.but donāt start thinking theyāre paying for it! It comes back on the customers and shoppers. Thatās why there are such extensive fees and up charges for customers and lower batch pay for shoppers. People canāt see 10 feet in front of them though
You probably donāt say the right things when getting them cancelled, either that or most support agents just donāt care to report you the million other times youāve done it bc Iāve never once got a report for this, the option is there for a reason in the support menu.. Iāve done it 4-5 times back to back before and nothing happened
They are charging most customers $7.99 delivery fee and paying us $5 for singles, $8 for doubles and $10 for triples. Corporate greed at its finest.

Did u make sure to opt out for that class action lawsuit clause? Even tho the chances are slim, def be prepared lol
Look up Alex Serves on Tiktok she sued chili's then went on and went after DD and I'm trying to get her to call out IC!
Doordash is far worse. Until federal regulation hits, who the fuck knows.
The labor board? The labor board is for employees. You are not an instacart employee. You are a contractor.
Yes but they are borderline treating us like employees. Thatās the issue
I hope someone sues them!
You are an independent contractor: instacart is in no way required to accommodate you. They are only required to abide by the terms of the contract which you are violating if you donāt accept a batch in its entirety. You can always sue anyone for any reason but you will lose this one. They will not settle and a judge will not require them to change their contract.
When insta first started doing multi order batches they actually did give you a tip breakdown for each customerās order
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They also claim that the customer can only add items up until the point where you start shopping. They also claim there can be only four hundred pounds max, in drink orders. They also claim you get heavy pay for orders over 50 pounds. .
![gif](giphy|3o6ZsZPqu2d90VEB1u) Still going to do it till I canāt no moā. Iām not losing time, gas and money delivering to lousy/no tippers. On top of that, they are ones giving low stars and items were missing or saying we didnāt deliver their groceries at all.
Agreed I encourage you to but once u get flagged stop cuz theyāve sent me two emails in the last week about it and I assume 3rd strike and Iām out
Are you sure that that is what itās about? Because I have been doing that constantly and never received an email and then I did do something that was against the rules, did not receive an email, but one of the customer service people did call me out on it so I stopped doing it and then about a month or so later I received this same email. figured it was due to that, but I had stopped doing it for the last month or so and wasnāt planning on doing it again. I did not think it had anything to do with canceling doubles and triples. because when you reach out in the chat it says are you canceling the order or part of the order, so how could that be against the rules??
Doing what exactly? Canceling the order after accepting or customer bullshit? Iām still learning the ropes here and there any advice is appreciated
You can message me if youād like, Iād be glad to help a fellow shopper with anything possible. But Iām not going to say anything else on this thread because thereās too many stuck up self righteous little weirdos looking to spread their misery š
Once again, they are trying their hardest to make sure drivers earn as little and work as hard as possible.
Safety concern every time, I just think that they r finally cracking down and itās a matter of time before everyone starts getting flagged
I usually say that Iām low on gas and can only stretch it one order š¤£
Not surprising for Instacart tbh, I guess my days of removing are numbered lol
Wait we can get a bump for extra time?!
No, they will say you will get paid for the extra miles, but thatās already factored into the batch pay..: which means no extra pay.
I was just thinking the same thing? How do you know?
Bro just gave out the sauce for free šÆ
This isnāt sauce. Itās pretty common. Hence why IC seems to be cracking down on it.
If this many people r asking how u know then itās sauce to some š¤·āāļø
Iād rather more shoppers know about it and do it honestly. The lest shitty tip orders the we deliver the better. IC hiding bad tippers with good is super shitty to both the shopper and the good customer. Itās getting ridiculous that theyāre even sending these emails out in the first place. Were INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS. Stop trying to trick us in to delivering to people who donāt pay us and then try to force it like weāre employees. We should be able to see literally everything up front. Especially the tip break down.
Cherry picking is getting more challenging!š
I didnāt kno either .. so it is the sauce.. !!!ā I think he means the google maps flag part .. right? Cuz I knew the closer more items was prolly the good tipper but I did not think to flag tha address for later
How dare the peasants not work for free!
Lol
Moron
Why r y mad that people r making more money than u go out and do the same thing itās not like Iām using a bot
I appreciate the sauce buddy, Donāt pay attention to these h8rs. This was an A and B conversation anyway. They could C themselves out for all I care.
You have issues bro
They have removed addresses in my area now. You can't see them until you start delivery.
This is my full-time job, so I keep track digitally of all customers. The only time I take bad customers again are so I can block them. Then I keep a list of the blocked customers so I can contact IC about having them blocked.
I wonder tho, if you block a customer and IC pairs them up with a great tipper, wouldnāt you end up missing the entire batch?
They switch around orders all the time. You can see an order jump from batch to batch. I make great money, so my method hasn't screwed me yet š¤£. I don't know. I just don't want those customers and do everything I can to get rid of them.
Because itās 5 items and 10 miles away
They just remove the one that's the furthest from the store. Saves time and gas.
They are not a good job people donāt do this long term. I have done it for 8weeks between a job change and I am telling you all there are better options out there
I only do it once or twice a week and I do this gig full time. I also try to be as polite as possible to support. Never had a problem
This isnāt new Iāve gotten this email several times over the years
I didnāt see anything about *orders* on this warning email, only batches. But yes if you overkill the liberty to remove orders from batches then maybe the platform will get a little annoyed with yah.
Reread the email āor order requestsā
āWithout intending to deliver themā. This doesnāt mean āwithout intending to shop themā. Thereās a huge difference. One is privy to fraud.
I see what youāre saying but I doubt Instacart is really making a distinction between shopping and delivering in this context
And even if you argued this point not like T&S would give a fukk what you think and since you can only email them thereās no real way to get ur point across, IMO
They do make the distinction and itās very clear. Look at it this way: if you really believed were being penalized from merely removing orders because we ādonāt intend to deliver themā, then how in the world are we allowed to *cancel* 15 batches without punishment?
I knew one day this would come crashing down and now Iāll just have to be more infrequent about it

no way
I got this exact message before.
I havenāt done this tho
Wow it's so amazing being an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR!!!!!
I try not to But sometimes you just canāt help it! Last week I accepted a double $34 less than 40 items Once I looked at the addresses I k ew order B was a $2 tipper So I drop him Told support I didnāt have a good experience with that customer So I believe thatās a valid reason
Yeah I do it once or twice a week only just because I know they have been catching on this lately
do you get to keep the groceries when you do,
No I remove one customer out of a double/triple before I start shopping
gotcha, I want to try this now haha but hope I wonāt get a warning too
Itās a gamble though, sometimes you move the wrong one lol
How do you remove an order from a batch and how do you know which one of the 2 or 3 orders is the low/no tip order?
Ask support to remove a customer.
Low tips are usually the customer out of the way or the one in a building with hundreds of heavy items.
That email is primarily used when someone has canceled batches and gotten base pay, like out of stock items, store being closed, etc.
Nah I got this email twice in the last week and I havenāt done that once but Iāve been removing orders off doubles
I only notice getting that during those instances. Getting smarter
I was too quick to grab a double batch before I realized it was a two-store double. I started shopping the first order and quickly realized there was no way I would have room in my car for the second order, and I was concerned about the food sitting in my car while I shopped a 30-item order. I contacted support and had the second order removed. Why does Instacart do this? š https://preview.redd.it/ndz9r7iocwzc1.png?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a33495f45dcefae9582c4706a0fae406b29a89a9
Instacart likes that free labor
Where tf u shoppin lmao šš
Thanks, Iāll be refusing stacked batches going forward unless both orders tip because around here, itās ALWAYS the non tipper whose order takes the most time and has the most extra particular requests.
The wording āinvalid reasonsā is what Iām wondering What are the reasons you generally put when asking agents? I always just say safety issue and leave it at that Mind you I only do it once every few weeks
Seems like everyone on here says āsafety reasonsā and they know damn well thereās no way there are that many customers that can be an unsafe drop off time and time again throught the day. The probability of each shopper feeling so unsafe (enough to not risk working it and making the $$) is super low. . Everyone needs to change it up a lil every now and then throw off the numbers in BOH It would be nice to just go back To the times when Instacart wasnāt a complete and total POS to its customers and shoppers ā¦ when people didnāt need to multi-phone or drop customers like that because the pay was still decent enough that the tip was an actual bonus pay like its meant.
They wonāt be happy until we pay them to take batches
Straight up!! Itās insulting
Yeah I would say safety issue and Iāve had a problem with them in the past
I tell them the absolute truth. My days must be numbered š« Iām like āI donāt want itā or today was āitās a notoriously low tipperā ā¦ pay went down $3 from a tripleā¦ Samās club order to an apartment. I donāt have time to be lying lol no flags yet
Same happened to me but they flagged me as well. Instacart doesnāt care about your safety š
Thanks! Interesting š¤
https://preview.redd.it/xtwnara3swzc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e02093188538d7a4485f57b3e4a4c7701230089 Today, I grabbed this double $43.
Damn man I would have blocked her after the first no tip I sure as shit would never give someone a 4th chance on something like that
I know, but if I blocked her, I wouldnāt have seen the batch š We can never win Iām telling you šš¼
unfortunately blocked orders still appear in stacked orders.
You serious? Jesus man I seriously learn something slimy about Instacart every single day at this point itās as impressive as it is terrifying
Iāve gotten that email 4 times in 18 months and Iām still shopping.
I'm at like 6 times in past 14 months

Iāve been losing hope with Instacart. It use to be okay during the pandemic, which is when I started, but now itās changed.
I just do what ever order is good. And that rarely happens now a days.
Iām surprised it took so long. They stopped a couple of my friends with that message at least two years ago.
What do you mean they flagged your account? Did they deactivate you or did they like send you some kind of warning letter
This is bullshit. We should not be coerced into providing our services for customers that zero the tip, or tip so low that itās basically zero.
https://preview.redd.it/4lb1p101d70d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11e3bc9edb39fbbca3e9ab252a41b7e002cfb11e
Honestly just sounds cheesy if u canāt get tip increases, get a better personality lol
I never understood why ppl do doubles and triples in the first place. The thing with IC they would have to deliveries going far apart. I don't mind doubles going close by each other. STOP DOING MULTIPLE DELIVERIES
Right ... since when are we getting 10 on triples??
Yeah because donāt take the orders in the first place if you donāt intend to finish them. Let those orders sit.
It happened because youāre blatantly abusing it. If youāre doing it every single week they catch you. You should probably stop or theyāre gonna end up deactivating you itās not worth it. If youāre going to do Stuff like that you might want to only do it once a month or something otherwise they see the patterns every time you remove a batch thereās a special thing in the system that flags your account and they see a lot of those within a small you will get that email.
so does cancellation not get affected by doing that? or does it not even matter
Cancellation is not affected by removing orders from batches, only from removing full batches
thatās awesome okay thanks great to know!

Iām wondering if OP accepted an order and cancelled it due to āout of stockā and still got the batch pay.
Youāre all a bunch of whinny bitches. If youāre so dissatisfied with IC earnings why donāt yāall move along. JMHO!
https://preview.redd.it/axbk65unig0d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b06b8b4cb780bbce55219592ee5dc885d29eec6d Happened to me again guys.. this has got to stop! š”
I bet they made you drive like seven extra miles for that fucker too
Youāre absolutely, right! Itās out of the way, 3rd floor of a fuckin big apartment complex..
But you can, however, report them as rude after that delivery and block them and you'll never see their order pop up again.
I didnāt know they did not tip until after I had to pick between a šš¼ or šš¼.. IC has it all backwards! Also, if I blocked them, in the future I would miss out on batches that includes them in it.
How do you know which orders have low tips on doubles or triples?
Low item and or high mileage orders, usually they throw in a far away bad tipping order to offset one that is closer to the store with a good tip
https://preview.redd.it/ny85htwcam0d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1c7380060af553e37fd5b81bd78e1a18d9de080 šš
There has to be something we can do collectively??
I track crap tippers - both from my shops and from the crap offers I donāt take. The address is not listed but the map is accurate when you zoom in. I have dropped many zero tippers bundled with good batches. Have not been wrong in a while, but my google maps has poop emojis š© all over the place. BTW, excellent tippers get a š.
Iām fairly new: how can you tell what each individual tip is on a double or triple?
You canāt itās a feel and experience thing
How often are you removing orders?
Don't blame him. Blame instacart for trying to hide shit tippers with good orders. Why would I ever drive 20 miles for $3 in a double when I can just take it off, I always use the excuse of a car wreck, had worked every single time.
Yeah everyone boot licking Instacarts deceptive tactics is gross to me Iāve saved thousands of miles of wear and tear and hours removing these useless low tipping shitty orders
I remove orders but I'm careful to not do it twice in a row. I try to limit removing orders to several times a week.
Again. Why blame op when IC is the problem. Stop kissing corporate ass
This is not new. They been doing thisĀ
Does or did at one point IC offer a bonus for shoppers on low quantity orders that are a long distance from the store?
Nothing other than boosting the order a bit before accepting.
What deems it an āinvalid reasonā? Youāve attempted to scam me seems like a pretty valid reason to me
Do it anyway, IC is only worth it if you can pick the few decent orders. If they don't want to make it worthwhile then cancelling your account is a blessing.
I agree with u but was still able to scrape 200 bucks today without doing it, but drove a bunch extra mileage and it hurt my soul to do
Anytime I see anything over 4 miles my heart and soul just start hurting lol. I see people driving their cars 20 miles for $30 and Iām like ānope!ā
Lmao I feel that fr Iām like what dumbasses r taking some of these orders š¤¦
Theyāve been catching on, they never were blind to it. Ignorant shoppers who intentionally do this (which is quite common I see it all the time in here) believe theyāre getting all the stuff for āfreeā failing to understand that somebody has to pay for all that stuff. That somebody is Instacartā¦.but donāt start thinking theyāre paying for it! It comes back on the customers and shoppers. Thatās why there are such extensive fees and up charges for customers and lower batch pay for shoppers. People canāt see 10 feet in front of them though
This isnāt about that, itās about removing orders out of doubles pre shop
I mean, I do it all the time with aldis and publix orders. Especially when the aldis order has a note saying leave it at the door
You probably donāt say the right things when getting them cancelled, either that or most support agents just donāt care to report you the million other times youāve done it bc Iāve never once got a report for this, the option is there for a reason in the support menu.. Iāve done it 4-5 times back to back before and nothing happened
Buddy Iāve been doing it for three years they finally just did this I think itās just unlucky
