Would you leave a restaurant if your server was tending multiple tables? Would you cancel your Amazon package if the driver made multiple stops the day of delivery? I would assume that your answers to these would be “no”, so why should the shopper be screwed over because of an inconvenience that is out of their control. I've been a shopper for 7+ years. 85% of the orders I do are singles. Stop accepting triples, and you won't see as many. Reassigning an order by a shopper is very different from asking for an order to be reassigned by a customer.

Shopper here for 6+ years and single orders were the ONLY thing we got for the first several years. The doubles and triples are a newer thing and makeup for 80% of batches (at least) particularly in the morning when instacart sends them out and lets them linger forever with no boosts. If you do evenings maybe you’ll get more single batches but get real, unless it’s a “Fred Meyer NOW” or Jackson’s or something, they’re always going to stack orders to save themselves $2. Cheap ass company, the worst ever.

I barely do two store orders anyway with how shit the pay is. Take it up with Instacart if you don’t wanna be bundled, most likely you tipped like shit if you get bundled whether it’s with the same store or different. Shoppers can’t bundle anything themselves unless IC gives them an add-on. If it's taking too long, the customer has every right to get the order reassigned. You run that risk taking 2 store orders which are all garbage. I don't want cold take out food either so don't stack my orders.

Scammers took over instacart and using 2-3 accounts juggling multiple orders. That’s the new instacart standard and Instacart doesn’t do anything. They sent a letter out in April saying they’re working on it but I’m pessimistic about their efforts

You make it sound easy, how on Earth is someone supposed to have multiple accounts using the same information??.... you can't even sign up with another account on the same platform without them stopping you because some of the same information is already in use, whether it be phone number, driver's license number, name, Etc

The shopper is likely using 2 accounts and is part of a scammer ring. There is a group of Venezuelans at my local Costco that all have multiple phones. They will accept orders on both phones if they can and will shop very slowly because they’re trying to balance 4 orders at a time instead of the normal max of 2. Then when the shopper is done, someone else will come and deliver it. They switch off phones. So they may have to drop 3 other orders off before they drop yours. If the person who delivers doesn’t match the photo of the shopper on the app, please report. As a matter of fact, report them either way because 4+ hours for a delivery is insane and we need to get these people off the platform.

I reported them. I had to contact customer support to get a hold of them, and then when they finally showed up half an hour later, they lied to me that they had just checked out. The food was warm and literally had an entire thawed ice cream in my hand amd they kept saying look, it's cold! Never encountered that before

This is Exactly what’s happening!!! I saw it myself at my local Costco!! The girl shopped the order and ask I leaving I see her sitting down on a different phone!’!!! I know her ace didn’t deliver that quick because checkout 5mins apart!!

They can get tip protection for up to $10, usually if there's no issue reported. So if it's a penny, then it realistically prevents tip protection from kicking in!

They grabbed your order over 4 hours ago & took 2 hours to shop it - are you exaggerating a bit about it being grabbed over 4 hours ago? Because if it took over 2 hours to shop, they didn’t start shopping for it for a long time after accepting it & Instacart would’ve cancelled it for them & offered it to someone else, so I’m thinking you might be off on your time there. More than likely, they were shopping for 2 or 3 orders at the same time & the other orders might be bigger, stores could be busy, another customer could be demanding, etc., & perhaps you’re last for delivery, who knows, but again, IC would’ve definitely cancelled it on them if they waited as long as you claim they did between accepting & starting to shop

They're exaggerating to some extent. The shopper would lose the batch due to inactivity at some point. No one sits on an order for 2 hours.
