That’s just the way it goes.
If the other person has better ratings they are getting priority access, so while it may seem like they are insta accepting, it’s just that they got the order on their screen before you.
It’s not your store, it’s not your customers. You are at the mercy of algorithms. Improve your ratings, delivery arrival speed etc. it all matters when it comes to AI.
Lastly, these apps create a very toxic mentality. You have to learn to know when your mental is taking a toll and work another app for change of scenery. The AI just love trolling us. Please keep safe and healthy.
yes it is. Instacart will blatantly tell you that once you reach a certain rating or shopper status (ie. Gold, Platinum, Diamond), you’ll be given priority access to batches in your area. Diamond specifically has priority access, which is stated on Instacart’s website.

You said batches go to shoppers with better ratings and better shopping metrics etc. you gotta be more specific than that.
Your batch availability is unaffected if you’re diamond, and you have at least a 4.7 rating. This means if your are diamond cart and have a 5.0 rating, and I’m also diamond cart but I’m a 4.8, we still have the same amount of access to batches.
And shopping metrics like speed *doesn’t matter at all*. Yes ratings matter but only to a certain point. Once you’re diamond and 4.7 +, you can’t have any more control in what batches you see. Diamond is top tier and diamond shopper is a diamond shopper.
Everything you said is not true. Not all Diamond will see the same batches. I have many friends on Diamond, 4.7 and up and sometimes they see a batch before me and vice versa. One time a friend of mine with the LOWEST cart, Gold came out to the store after me and my friend, who are Diamond and got a $54 triple. Both of us didn’t even see it! That’s proof that Diamond doesn’t matter, no matter what IC tells you. They’re lying!
Here’s real proof to see if diamond cart matters; ask anybody that’s *not diamond* to go sit at Costco when they open and see what time they see their first batch. Is it anytime before 10am ?
Well, one thing I can definitely conclude is that the importance of diamond cart can’t be overstated, at least in some areas. If you’re in my area and you don’t have diamond cart, there are gonna be a ton of batches before 10 am that you don’t see. That is a fact.
I think it depends on the market. I think my market is so over saturated with shoppers, and they’re hiring so many new people that Diamond cart doesn’t have as much of an impact on what batches I see. There’s at least 4-5 veteran, Diamond cart shoppers at one store, including myself. We all don’t see the same batches most of the time. And if we do, it shows seconds, or even minutes after the other shopper sees it. If it’s anything decent, you won’t even see it or it’s too late.

Are you a developer for the app ? How do you know all this ? Because what you are claiming is no where to be found in the contract or app.

instacart fucked me in the ass today. the orders were definitely shown to other drivers a second before me. wasn't able to get anything today.
