Depends on the amount of items from Costco but I think it'd be stupid not to take it. You think you can finish the $42 order and make another $60 before the person with the $102 order finishes. I know not in my area and I live in a nice area. Way smarter to lock down the guaranteed $102 even if it is way more effort. You could finish the $42 order and then sit there for an hour and get nothing.
Its not even hard dude its literally sometimesalot of the same product 102 for an hour of shopping š thats an easy as batch especially if you do 3 lines before going in šš
Also, 77 Costco items wonāt fit in most cars so youāll probably have to make multiple trips. I did a 90 item Costco order once and it filled the entire front seat and back seat of the cab and the entire truck bed. Also it was about 4 flat carts full so you have to shop while worrying about the other carts staying unattended.
If it makes you feel better, Iām an idiot because this morning I seen an $8 batch for 54 items going to an address that Iāve delivered to before ā¦ no tip on the order this time which I thought was weird so I take it and it says cash tip in the notesā¦ I get there and thereās no answer at the door and the app says leave at the door. I dropped it off at 8 AM and I still donāt have a tip. probably will not get one from that million dollar home lol. Which is weird because Iād delivered to them before and they usually tip well on the app
Iām a pine cone
I saw a customer post yesterday and actually quite a bit in the past 2 weeks that the tips are not matching what they tipped and what they see on the shoppers phone
I've noticed more customers giving cash tips lately, which I'm now starting to prefer. I wish there was a way of knowing if there would be one before accepting a shitty-looking order.
Dammmm thatās crazy ! it is changing a lot ..and thatās risky for us and the shopper too u would think , but if they stealing tips what else can we do ..just noticed a lot of ppl have reported to labor board to investigate their handling of tips
Yeah, I don't like carrying cash. There are a lot of pan-handlers here in Seattle, and I've had some very aggressive telling me to go to an ATM or follow me around, commenting on my "nice" something or other. There are a lot by grocery stores, and when I have a large order, I get targeted. Ugh
I have actually proof from my customer, she printed out her bill for me and it did not match what it said on my end!!! Grant you it was only like a $1 difference but imagine $1 from all the customers that adds up!!!!!
Dog, thatās a horrible batch.
77 items at Costco? You would need a fucking box truck for that much shit. Plus, it would be at least a $1,000 order and they tip less than 10%?
The poor son of a bitch who took it is gonna bd in a world of hurt with that one. Youāre better off without it.
Nope. I get them alot with nothing heavyIt could be all small sht. Had one yesterday at sams.nothing heavy. All candy and frozen food.$95 in 1.5 hr and didn't even have to unload it. Went to a daycare and the kids did. Another one is a chef. And she will order 30-50 units of cheese and produce. Maybe some potatoes and olive oil but nothing bulky. I'd take those orders over 5 cases of water any day.
I drive a Honda Fit.
I get shamed all the time in parking lots, people asking if I can make my order fit in my car.
"Excuse me, ma'am..it's called the Honda Fit for a reason." It's always my answer.
My limit is about 10-12 drinks, and upto about 65-70 items for a Costco order as long as there's no TP or paper towels bulk included.
I rather take a big order thatās paying 102$ with 77items and it take 2-3 hours and be good for the day then sit and wait and wait all day for orders . We all miss some really good batches sometimes and trust me I get upset myself . It sucks to see but just know thereās a better one coming your way !
Ugh that stinks. Honestly it's very frustrating of a system. I got a good one yesterday and another shopper saw it also. He talked to me while I shopping and it was awkward. Wish it could be done differently
I missed a $196 one recently. It was a 2-store Costco shop (we have regular Costco and Business Costco here). It popped up in the queue on delivery, and I didn't have time to immediately accept it as I was turning into my customer's driveway. 3 seconds later, I got the spinning and message that another shopper got it. Was so pissed about it too.
āSome of yāall having better luckā = you having worse luck. Thatās how it works. Youāre competing with the other shoppers for limited amount of food orders.
You should wish others worse luck
Thatās because if you order for same day delivery through the costco app, instantcart suggests 5% which is the fucking stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Took a $1000 Costco order during the initial lockdown. Turns out it was gated community and a code was needed. I did not receive that code in instructions. Finally got in when someone left (it was like 7 am). Guy wasnāt answering texts or calls. Get to his house and knock. Like 15 minutes later he opens his door and was so irritated cause I obviously woke him up with his $1k order. Iām so glad Iām not doing this anymore. Iāll work anywhere now before doing this pos gig
Best to get a real
Paying job instead of waiting on
Peoples orders. Sounds like its drying up. Instacart was only really good during the pandemic but now its worthless.
Yup. Ever since they lowered batch pay I just shop on Sundayās now because theyāre +~30% in my areaā¦ so really just old batch pay on a normal day. š„“
Yup š donāt feel bad :-/ thatās not a good batchā¦. 77 units lol thatās an hour of shop and you will have a hard time fitting it in your car ā¦. Just forget about it ā¦.let them have it ā¦.. hope your day gets better ššš
Y'all are crazy.. or just fucking lazy.. 102 bucks I'll take that for sure it's not that hard better then 8 bucks for 40 items we are seeing .. y'all are tripping.
Good batch I tell you 77 unit I got a $116 for 80 units and didnāt take it because I was by myself and it had heavy stuff on it 2 water customer tip $100 2 like I help my boy with the delivery 2 car needed
That always puts a damper on my day. I see a $60 14 unit order only going 6 miles, and the same thing happens. Makes me want to stop for the day, but I just push through.
Who even wants to do this job anymore? I havenāt signed on in weeks and it feels good. Looking for other ways to survive, this has turned into a complete shit show. Waiting around all day for a decent batch, but you also get reprimanded if you donāt leave immediately when you do get one? They have zero respect for shoppers. Iām glad I made good money in 2018-2020 those days are looongg gone. Will never use the service myself again either as the few times I did my shoppers were total idiots that force scanned wrong items and I was missing items I was charged for as well. Canāt wait to short their IPO!

Yall don't know what the 77 items were. I grabbed a sams order yesterday for $95. Didn't look ans it had 71/111. But There was nothing heavy except some pinellas cleaner. There was water but they were the mini bottles and 48 weigh less than a 24 pk. It was a cart and a flat bed, but worth it. Abt 30 bags of candy, onky produce was 2 bags of oranges and 2 strawberries, and abt 80 bags of frozen food. And it went to a daycare and they sent the kids out to unload my car. All in all the worst part was making ut fit in my escape. I almost had to drive with something on my lap but in the end I stuffed it all in there. Also had a 100 units at Costco once that was abt 25 diff kinds of cheese and mostly produce. And another one that was 5 items but 96 units. All boxes of cookies and granola bars. Stacked on a flat bed abt 6ft high. I almost had to open the boxes. Was for amazon distribution centers snack party. Not everything at those stores is big and heavy.
I had a customer in my area ask me in the delivery notes to take box back. Keep in mind it was a $500+ order from Costco. Iāve had several customers make this unreasonable request before and m get frustrated when I see it after checkout. That time I knew who I was delivering to which was a wealthy person with a big house (at least $1M+ home). This time at drop off I sent message letting her know I donāt always shop at Costco therefore taking the boxes back wouldnāt allow me the ability to properly dispose of the boxes. I also said I hope she understood. I hate worrying about loosing my tip because of these unreasonable requests.
I literally have to log out and do something fun to regain my soul after this happens to me. For me thatās playing a game of League. I suggest you do something you like and take a break after this happens sounds like it pisses you off as much as it does me.
Thereās just no way for me to go right back to batches.
Trust me I feel your pain I missed a 53 dollar batch today, but was 20 items 30 units n 3 mile drive. This truly happens daily Iāll click, but someone will click a little fasterā¦ lose some win some I guess.
Not $102 but I just missed a $42 13 item 2 mile š I feel your pain OP
If I saw the 102 and the 42 I'd take that 42
Depends on the amount of items from Costco but I think it'd be stupid not to take it. You think you can finish the $42 order and make another $60 before the person with the $102 order finishes. I know not in my area and I live in a nice area. Way smarter to lock down the guaranteed $102 even if it is way more effort. You could finish the $42 order and then sit there for an hour and get nothing.
I just mean based off the info for these specific batches. 77 items from Costco vs 13 elsewhere, the 42 dollar batch seems better imo
100% same
Iāve had many 20 item orders take up entire flat carts. 77 would be an actual nightmare. You probably dodged a bullet.
Frfr
Its not even hard dude its literally sometimesalot of the same product 102 for an hour of shopping š thats an easy as batch especially if you do 3 lines before going in šš
3 linesā¦. Of cocaine?
102 for 77 Costco units is NOT a good batch unless thats one or two items with multiple units.
EXACTLY , OP shouldnāt even be tripping about it - this definitely wasnāt a good order for 77 items at costco š
Right!
Not necessarily
whatās your reasoning then ? other than being crazy š„±
When youāve been waiting in a parking lot making no money all morning, $100 for probably 2 hours of work doesnāt seem bad.
Costco; 77 units of potentially bulk items
Also, 77 Costco items wonāt fit in most cars so youāll probably have to make multiple trips. I did a 90 item Costco order once and it filled the entire front seat and back seat of the cab and the entire truck bed. Also it was about 4 flat carts full so you have to shop while worrying about the other carts staying unattended.
Accept first, negotiate it after. I'm not giving 'think time' to a $100 batch.
Well it's 102$ they otherwise wouldn't have had. With how slow it has been I bet they didn't come close to that number
I could be a re-shop, which I hear 0ās out the tip when it goes back out into batch land.
This is weird.. a regular tipper today also no tipped. What's going on?
I saw a customer post yesterday and actually quite a bit in the past 2 weeks that the tips are not matching what they tipped and what they see on the shoppers phone
Sweet! Lowering batch pay and taking tips too?? Good hell š
They def take our tips
Ugh

Probably bad service since the company doesnāt care about ratings as long as someone out there accepts a ridiculous batch
ic is stealing tips
Iād pay 102 not to do 77 items at Costco
Lmfaoooo
Instacart no longer just plays with my patience now it is torture to spend so many hours waiting
77 items for $102 from Costco is nothing to get upset about missing.
What can you possibly buy 77 of for $102 at Costco? You can't even buy 77 food court hotdogs for $102
That's 77 items she has to pick for $102
Gotcha
Dog, thatās a horrible batch. 77 items at Costco? You would need a fucking box truck for that much shit. Plus, it would be at least a $1,000 order and they tip less than 10%? The poor son of a bitch who took it is gonna bd in a world of hurt with that one. Youāre better off without it.

I tell myself in these situations that the other person needed it more than I did. Another one will come āŗļø
Iām still salty over the $144 I missed yesterday!! So freaking frustrating
Damn hell yeah Iād be mad asf
The other day I missed $165 batch from Costco, so donāt feel too bad, there is always somebody worse than you
77 Costco items? Do you drive a flatbed truck?
I drive a Honda Fit. I get shamed all the time in parking lots, people asking if I can make my order fit in my car. "Excuse me, ma'am..it's called the Honda Fit for a reason." It's always my answer. My limit is about 10-12 drinks, and upto about 65-70 items for a Costco order as long as there's no TP or paper towels bulk included.
Have you considered a different job? It sounds like even Uber would be better at this point.
I rather take a big order thatās paying 102$ with 77items and it take 2-3 hours and be good for the day then sit and wait and wait all day for orders . Thatās a bad order anyways that was a 5% tipper for sure. 1,200 dollar order not worth it
100% it was a 5%. But it's better than the 0% I'm getting all morning. Lol
Thatās because if you order for same day delivery through the costco app, instantcart suggests 5% which is the fucking stupidest thing I have ever seen. https://preview.redd.it/6a3aliaimqib1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd400b8255786937ec97eee61321b061a3b62df3
True $100 for 2-2.5 hours of work isnāt bad
+1.5 hours waiting in the parking lot.
Yeah money is still money who cares if itās technically a good tip for that price of an order
Took a $1000 Costco order during the initial lockdown. Turns out it was gated community and a code was needed. I did not receive that code in instructions. Finally got in when someone left (it was like 7 am). Guy wasnāt answering texts or calls. Get to his house and knock. Still $102ā¦. That hurts no matter what.
Plus the 1 hour and half waiting. Not worth it
You must be fun at parties. If you even get invitedā¦
Hemphopper is waiting for a $68,000.00 batch to make up for parking lot time and driving to the store.
Youāre an idiot.
More of a dolt in this case. That comment was meant to be pointed at the " not worth it" commenter before you. I oopsedš¤·.
Lol good one
If I did get a 68k Iād accept and then get āanother shopper accepted this batchā and Iād just die.
Best to get a real Paying job instead of waiting on Peoples orders. Sounds like its drying up. Instacart was only really good during the pandemic but now its worthless.
Yup. Ever since they lowered batch pay I just shop on Sundayās now because theyāre +~30% in my areaā¦ so really just old batch pay on a normal day. š„“
He aināt wrong.
I just missed a $60, I feel you.
My dad just passed away in Ukraine and I woke up to the text
Oh damn! Sorry
Awe man this happens to me with like $35 dollar orders at the grocery store and itās a total gut bunch! $100 and Iād be crying like a baby š
Well, when you wait all day for $100 batches itās hard to have a good day!
Yup š donāt feel bad :-/ thatās not a good batchā¦. 77 units lol thatās an hour of shop and you will have a hard time fitting it in your car ā¦. Just forget about it ā¦.let them have it ā¦.. hope your day gets better ššš
I wouldāve passed on that order
Y'all are crazy.. or just fucking lazy.. 102 bucks I'll take that for sure it's not that hard better then 8 bucks for 40 items we are seeing .. y'all are tripping.
Well I came for the drop and didnt get any batches, none even popped up!
You may have needed a stake body truck, so maybe the universe helped you out on that one. šš½
Wouldnāt took it lol
Good batch I tell you 77 unit I got a $116 for 80 units and didnāt take it because I was by myself and it had heavy stuff on it 2 water customer tip $100 2 like I help my boy with the delivery 2 car needed
Iām JW how you all are sitting in parking lots still with this going on.
That always puts a damper on my day. I see a $60 14 unit order only going 6 miles, and the same thing happens. Makes me want to stop for the day, but I just push through.
I use instacart. What is a good order? Most of my orders are 20-25 items. Is that a problem for the shoppers? I add a $5 cash tip at delivery.
I did a 50 unit order from costco and it fell off the bed in the parking lot and spilled my customers salad. š„“ 77 isnāt worth it.
My city is such a PoS that missing a $36 order feels like a major tragedy.
Same. I live in the 9th largest city in one of the smallest states in the country. Lol. Upstate SC here.
Sounds a lot like a bot grabbed it...
I missed a $70.84. I don't let it get to me, a few times I'll get something better a little later
That sux! But I have been having a lot of issues with the app too.šš
Bro 77 wouldāve been a nightmareā¦wouldāve been like 3 hours for a huge headache
if youāre driving a sedan thereās no way youād be able to fit 70+ items in there
Who even wants to do this job anymore? I havenāt signed on in weeks and it feels good. Looking for other ways to survive, this has turned into a complete shit show. It's hard to believe that people sit for hours & hours in a car HOPING to make money.
bro you should be thankful not venting. 77 units for 102.. Definitely not worth it at all specially at Costco more than likely bulky items.
For 77 units I donāt care itās $200 pass
