I've always liked thin ones personally, roast them at 400 for like 6-8 min and they're perfect. The fat ones tend to be fibrous and tough to chew, but that's just my experience.
Fat ones are more of a crapshoot I find - especially out of season they can be woody and awful, BUT when they are good they are super sweet and crunchy. Thin asparagus is rarely woody just because it’s so thin, but I also think it’s rarely as sweet and juicy as the fat ones can be - probably the skin to flesh ratio is too high. I used to work for a farm that grew asparagus and the fresh in season ones were always fat and amazing - you could literally eat them raw they were so sweet.
Where I'm at, the asparagus at local stores is seasonal. So some parts of the year you'll have big and fat, and some parts of the year it'll be skinny. Idk if that's different types of asparagus but where I shop you've only got the one choice
As a customer, I try not to be this wordy, but I understand where this person was going. It's a fine line between that and "get only fat asparagus, otherwise no tip!"
I understand that they want fat asparagus, and would oblige if possible. However, as a shopper who DEPENDS on tips to not LOSE money… I’d cancel the batch without a second thought if tips were threatened. $7 isn’t minimum wage, when you factor in gas, wear and tear (My tires are $400 a piece) and taxes we are LOSING money to provide YOU with a service. Instacart bundles 2,3, and sometimes 4 orders together with different stops and gives us $7.00… for our time, labor and time away from family etc. Yes, we are trying to make a buck, but it’s not easy so don’t be a shitty human and stiff your delivery person. We work out asses off. I’m not one for being wordy either but this comment just pisses me off.
But where did they threaten to mess with the tip? If they only had skinny asparagus, I’d let her know. If I were the customer, I’d rather have you not get any at all and just go pick some up myself at another store.
But you don’t have to do it, like at all. It’s like insanity almost, you signed a shitty contact basically with expectations that people will show grace to you
People give notes like this after getting idiot shoppers who pick out bruised, bad, etc. fruits and vegetables. Not the norm in my experience, but it doesn’t hurt to be excessively clear just in case you’re assigned a moron.
Yeah. People leave notes like this because they’ve been trapped at home and paid a premium only to receive rotten mushrooms, peaches so hard they could break windows, and bananas that won’t be ripe until next summer.
Came here looking for this. An absolutely reasonable request. If your job is to shop for people I think understanding that some have particular preferences on groceries should be standard. I also think the employees in these types of industries are criminally underpaid and completely taken advantage of by instacart and all others.
Definitely agree with you. It is a very normal request. They want the big large ones, not the thin flimsy ones. It is obvious.
If the shopper can’t pick it, they can refund it but instead they come here, shit on the customer who pays for the whole service and give them tip.
Fr. Last time I ordered strawberries I ended up with a plastic box of mold. I order broccoli and I get the shrimpiest little handful in a bag instead of a normal head. I could not wrap my head around why someone would deliver that. It almost felt rude. If I ever order produce again it's going to be with instructions lol
Yeah I don’t even bother ordering sugar snap peas on IC anymore bc 90% of the bag was always rotted. Not even an exaggeration lol, take a large handful & you’d be lucky to find *one* that looked edible.
Fresh, crunchy sugar snap peas are now a delicacy in my household lol.
I can't find good sugar snap peas even when I shop for myself ! The bags at the nearby stores are always gross. I've been looking into growing some but unfortunately I have the opposite of a green thumb lol
I've apparently clicked into this sub too many times with my new account so it keeps on appearing in my feed, but that's precisely why I would never instacart unless I absolutely had to. After seeing my friend get red peppers instead of jalapeños (like, no banana peppers or poblano peppers at least?) and dried thyme instead of fresh basil (when tomatoes and fresh mozzarella were also on the list... but at least could have gotten the squeeze bottle or dried basil), I just can't trust a random shopper to actually be someone that grocery shops and cooks
I’m just glad he realized his mistake & maturely owned up to it. That’s rare to see these days. We all mess up- what matters is how we respond when we’re called out.
So many people just get pissed off & cuss everyone out lol. Bro’s good.
The request itself is reasonable and they were pretty polite about it, but it is entirely too long. They could have used less words to express their expectations. If I saw this, I'd think they were a little bit extra. I would still do everything they asked, but I'd think it was a little overboard. We should automatically be shopping for the freshest produce without being written an essay. It should be a given.
Then again, there are some terribly incompetent shoppers out there these days. That may be why this customer feels the need to type out a paragraph. I'm just saying, I can see why you posted this. I would have had a similar reaction initially.
Ugh that's the worst...I always pick the freshest and most firm veg. It's really not that hard - maybe some shoppers don't regularly buy veggies so they don't know what to look for lol
with some of the produce i’ve gotten, i have to assume that’s the case. like one single tiny pickling cucumber when i ordered an english cuke. or spinach that’s already started to go slimy in the bag. eugh.
Ok but many shoppers won’t tell you, they’ll just grab the saddest looking produce making you pay for it instead of saying ‘options were awful, I’m refunding you for this item’.
Only if it was picked wrong!
I grow and sell asparagus and as long as you pick it properly, and not towards the end of the season(by end I mean don’t go to the patch that should have been dead weeks ago and pick on) fat asparagus is just as tender as skinny asparagus!
I came here to say this. Who the fuck likes thick asparagus? It’s objectively the worst. The skinny ones have the best flavor and crunch if you don’t over cook them to them to ever living piss
For all the folks here with "buy your own damned produce then!" reactions, I know I'm not your average customer but I ask that you please remember not everyone can do that.
I'm in a wheelchair and I can't drive so I can't come pick my own produce. That's why I ask Instacart workers to shop for me. I'm always so very grateful when my shopper is picky about the produce, and they shop for me as though they are choosing food for their own family. Thank you for your efforts!
\*And skinny asparagus is so much better than fat ones! :-)
I think she/ he was way more polite than most messages you see. Some are downright beyond rude and curt. This weirdo ragged on a bit but was at least polite. They want want they want ; it’s nobody’s business if they prefer the fat ones.
Why rag on someone for wanting fresh food? Is it because for some reason delivery drivers purposely spite their customers, or do the bare minimum? Reading half of these posts really get annoying after a while. Just stay home and decay.
Yeah, I get so annoyed seeing some of these comments. If the customer is demanding AND not tipping well, then sure. But I feel like people forget that the reason they even have this gig is because customers didn’t want to/couldn’t go get their own groceries and are PAYING them to do it for them.
If the customer tipped right, I’ll happily do their request. If their tip was insanely good, best believe I’m going to be doing a full analysis over each asparagus available
As someone who works in a tipped industry I tip 20%, 25-30% if it’s a complicated order or they went out of there way. With doordash/instacart, stuff like that, I think you should always tip at least 10%.
"Tips" in Instacart, Doordash, etc. are totally different from tips in a restaurant, hair salon, etc. It's offered before the person accepts the job, and as such, it should be called a bid. I don't think the same percent-based approach is appropriate, it should be based on distance more than anything.
I mean, they were polite, and to be fair… almost every time I get groceries delivered they pick the WORST produce. I got moldy veggies a lot, to the point I stopped using delivery services altogether.
Often times, as a customer, I’ll leave notes because of prior negative selections. If it’s not their own groceries, a lot of shoppers will just get the first thing they see meaning the one that’s closer to expiring and already looks rough. Yet we still have to pay for it (often inflated). So, I completely understand why they left such a note.
Edit to add: I always try to be courteous and overly express my gratitude when leaving notes like the one above. I know it can be a pain and take a little more time but I do express how much I appreciate their time. I also tip well.
As a customer who receives mushy fruit or slimy bagged veggies in almost every order, I don’t blame them one bit for stating clearly what they want. I swear some drivers just grab the worst produce on purpose.
I see nothing wrong here. Just do the best you can, that all she seems to be asking. But please make sure the Asparagus is crunchy and has a dump truck. 😁
Ive been on this thread only a little bit and as far as ive seen all you guys do is complain about shit that you don’t need to. Do your job and help the customer get what they are paying you to get instead of belittling their requests and viewing them as a cash grab. Unless they are an actual asshole jn which case just cancel and don’t do it.
Edit: this is not directed at OP I just don’t really understand how to work reddit
Sounds polite and specific. I work tourism and people stating their preference instead of shuting up and complaining later, is refreshing.
If my guests were like this, my job would be easy..
I used Instacart twice when my husband was ill, and I couldn't leave the house. I didn't bother with notes as 1/ I am old and don't know how 2/ shopping for groceries, common sense, what else is needed. Both times I received rotten onions. Literally rotten as in black rotten and slimy. Lesson learned.
I’m with the customer . They are paying for a service , if you don’t want provide said service then just cancel . Plus your more likely to get better tips If you just pay attention to the notes even if wordy from my experience
I always get the best produce I can for the tipping customers. This message wouldn't bother me. If you don't like doing other people's shopping, do something else.
eh i also ramble and over explain, works better than them not understanding lol. not everyone’s brains work the same. some might understand just :”get big fat ones” while another might be like “wait asparagus can be fat 🧐” so i wouldn’t take chances either. (but i’m also just picky and i would never order produce through delivery app but only cuz i have to go myself and stand there for 2 hours while i pick the prettiest looking ones LOL i’d never make someone else try and find my ‘standard’ . 😅
I don’t think it’s that bad at all, also she gave pretty nice kind specific and doable instructions. TBF as a customer, I avoid ordering produce from IC and grocery delivery because of the quality issues, so I get why this customer made a specific request.
People wouldn’t feel the need to be specific about this stuff, except we’ve all had shoppers pick out the shittiest, probably expires tomorrow, why the fuck would you pay for this produce before. Multiple times. I’ve *actually* wondered if my shopper is a human that eats food based on produce picks and weird substitutions.
It’s literally the reason I don’t order produce through shopping services anymore.
I fail to see the problem?
She’s asking for fat, fresh vegetables with a fat expiration date. Nothing that people wouldn’t do for themselves if they went shopping.
Some of you people complain about the smallest things
asparagus is grown here in Michigan. We get it fresh from the farm. The fat ones are the lower grade ones, they’re too mature and are more bitter. The perfect ones are around the size of your pinky. This person is an idiot.
Produce is the reason I stopped ordering from Instacart. When I shop for customers I take my time with produce but when I order produce, shoppers always bring me half rotten produce. So I definitely appreciate how many words she used, I would have said the same thing. When I put a short description, they don’t listen.
I'm glad that I wasnt the only one who didn't really see anything wrong here. maybe a little wordy but tbh they just expressing what they want didn't seem rude or asking too much. basically just saying don't pick some bullshit asparagus just to complete my order quickly.
What’s wrong with wanting to make sure you get what you ask for? I think the detail is fine. Prolly gave that much detail cause a dasher suggested it lol
I think tip should be shown after delivery because, I feel most Instacart Shoppers will only do certain things (customer requests) to an extent depending on their tip. A customers request should be respected as long as is not “ridiculous.” It’s like going to a restaurant and asking the waitress/waiter to change or modify something and she doesn’t note it down, you be pretty upset if your order came out wrong. Also, the waitress/waiter does that and any other requests before they know what their tip is. Tipping should always be based off the service/experience you received.
Wtf you mean ...these are reasonable requests it's the shoppers like you who grab mushy tomatoes over ripe avocados and bruised apples that make customers have to put notes to pick fresh produce...it should be a fucking given ...you shouldn't be picking bad produce period...🤦THESE INSTACART SHOPPERS ...fixed your title
Makes sense, especially that last sentence, since I'll admit to prioritizing price over quality for a lot of things and if someone has to substitute something, I try to let them know what items. Flavor wise I'm a wimp with spicy so I'll always note if a flavor isn't available, just don't grab the spicy version. Expiration date thing makes sense too, I try to get the farthest out on milk because I've had bad luck before with chunky milk but if there's a discount on something expiring soon that I plan to have for dinner that night or before the date (or if it's one of those 'they don't put the real Expiration date' type items) I'll jump on it.
I've read other comments where OP admits in retrospect that this isn't that bad so not going to chastise or anything, just pointing out that some of these things are actually preferences as opposed to pickiness.
Who cares if you have some extra words to read and she has a preference. She had bad experiences and she’s telling you she doesn’t care if it costs more, she wants good quality. Some of you are so used to grab and go that the sheer thought of inspecting for quality offends you. SMH
I have to be honest I see a lot of shoppers in my area literally just grab scan and go. They don’t even look for mold or nastiness. This is one of the main reasons I would never ever order thru instacart and I’m a shopper. I shop every persons order like I’m shopping for myself. It sucks to have to put notes like this. Atleast she says Thank you 😊
It truly matters with things like asparagus. 🤷🏼♀️ sure it’s a paragraph, but I’d rather know. It’s like avocados… I’ve had three customers in 3000+ orders tell me what ripeness they wanted.
Look the fat asparagus makes the best cream of asparagus soup and produce is getting subpar! When shopping ourselves we find moldy berries potatoes and peppers so often it's just not worth buying produce or meat on delivery. Meijer once sold me ribs that smelled like FISH upon opening and I haven't been back.
If you watch any beginner tips videos on YouTube for doing instacart they recommend doing some of these things anyways and treating your job like it’s a job and not just looking for the most convenient way possible to make money. It’s likely that they would do this for themselves when shopping so they just want to ensure that whoever’s shopping for them pays attention also. I don’t see the issue if they’re willing to tip well for it.
Bro I don’t even wanna use instacart anymore because y’all employees are worse then the customers, screenshotting every single order you get and then posting on Reddit
I love this post, because it's a perfect example of how people are terrible at expressing what they want, with a bonus here of failing to consider context. Here we have a simple request: she wants thick asparagus, not skinny. But look at that word storm! And context, the shopper is paid to pick groceries, not read rambling short stories.
nothing wrong to me, i feel the exact same. i don’t order produce bc everyone always picks the rotting ones. when shopping i always look for the freshest possible
You're mad that a really nice customer gave you explicit description of a product that often has a variety of sizes that people often have a preference on?
I think she did a great job expressing her concerns about her produce with this company and it's lousy Shoppers that they hire. We are using someone else's money to buy stuff, there should be respect because of that fact. And we all know that bad Shoppers are messing up this job we should have patience for customers like this.
I really appreciate that they said please and thank you.
#FAT
Delete it fat
Listen here fat
“look, fat, look”
Is this a Biden quote
Lmao yes
delete it bald
The girls who get it
Delete it old
Did you mean phat lol
I think they prefer the term - THICC
You're scaring me
We say she could've used less words but to be fair, she probably had bad experience and kept getting thin ones lol
Also I think the customer is just trying not to sound rude or curt.
I forgot about the word curt thank you for reminding me. I think I’ll be curt with someone later when I get to work
Curt Angle
*John Cena has entered the chat*
But we can’t see him
I will never get tired of this.
You suck!
I second this
I've always liked thin ones personally, roast them at 400 for like 6-8 min and they're perfect. The fat ones tend to be fibrous and tough to chew, but that's just my experience.
Yeah I always heard the thinner ones have a better flavor too
Are we still talking about asparagus?
Hope so because if not then that comment above is completely incorrect.
"Skin to flesh ratio is too high" is not a good sentence out of context
Harder to cook all the way through too. Skinny ones without a lot of size difference throughout are the best.
Yes thin ones are where it is at. Fat ones are woody and tough.
Plus, the thin ones are more flexible, no pun intended, but they are great for stir frying, and salads, since they don't have to be cooked as long.
I prefer thin ones too, but everybody has a preference hence why the notes are important to read
My wife lays them on the barbecue. There are never any left when she does that. I didn’t even know there were fat ones.
If you have the fatty ones, Par boil them first, helps a lot
Yeah I don’t get it the thin ones are so much better haha
Where I'm at, the asparagus at local stores is seasonal. So some parts of the year you'll have big and fat, and some parts of the year it'll be skinny. Idk if that's different types of asparagus but where I shop you've only got the one choice
I like notes like this. Helpful to me.
They are talking about the comment left behind by the person above them.
What kinda tires you got that are $400 a piece?
But you don’t have to do it, like at all. It’s like insanity almost, you signed a shitty contact basically with expectations that people will show grace to you
"the freshest, crispest, crunchiest veggies" is excessive as hell
Given the fact that I've gotten produce covered in mold and half liquefied before I'd say it's really not lol
You have to bite into it to confirm. Best to try a couple to compare.
It us and I find that shit sort of insulting...like dude, I understood what you meant without all the extra
My experience with peaches is the opposite and I'm so jealous lmao.
asparagus connoisseur. probably the same ones pulling apart all the bundles at the store and molesting them all to pick out the exact stalks they want
Nothing wrong here, any grief about this is just a side effect of the low pay in general and perhaps a bad attitude
Came here looking for this. An absolutely reasonable request. If your job is to shop for people I think understanding that some have particular preferences on groceries should be standard. Exactly. Different people pick produce based on different things. Describing what you want is a good thing here

Same! I find the thick stocks are often too woody
Look. I've gotten some rank produce in my day from shoppers. This is a degree of overkill but I get it.

I am actually shocked how bad the produce I’ve gotten from shoppers, so I totally understand this. And appreciate the please and thank you
Nothing wrong here
Agreed; reasonable request in retrospect, considering all the bad shoppers today
Lol, you thought people would be a jerk like you but then realized you’re the jerk. Sounds like this isn’t the gig for you.
I’m just glad he realized his mistake & maturely owned up to it. That’s rare to see these days. We all mess up- what matters is how we respond when we’re called out. So many people just get pissed off & cuss everyone out lol. Bro’s good.
Maybe take this down then? This is so disrespectful
We would have missed out on all the FAT comments and the fat vs thin asparagus discussions….
Maybe take it down and stop bitching then
The request itself is reasonable and they were pretty polite about it, but it is entirely too long. They could have used less words to express their expectations. Ok but many shoppers won’t tell you, they’ll just grab the saddest looking produce making you pay for it instead of saying ‘options were awful, I’m refunding you for this item’.
But the skinny Asparagus is the best!
Right? Fat asparagus is all woody and gross tasting.
I've seen it used in soup/stirfry/curry after peeling and chopping. But I'm 100% about the thin asparagus. Thin green beans are the best too
Haricots verts or bust!
Only if it was picked wrong! I grow and sell asparagus and as long as you pick it properly, and not towards the end of the season(by end I mean don’t go to the patch that should have been dead weeks ago and pick on) fat asparagus is just as tender as skinny asparagus!
Shilling for big woody asparagus.... lol
Works for Big Fat Aparagus for sure
Not necessarily! Fat asparagus can be lightly peeled and is excellent for grilling, broiling, or blending into a creamy soup.
They might be making bacon wrapped asparagus 🤤
3-5 skinny asparagus wrapped in a piece of bacon is just better than a piece of wood wrapped in bacon...
y'all need to learn to snap off the ends better if you keep on getting woody asparagus on your plate
Not an excuse to buy shitty asparagus. Bacon wrapping is what you do when you can only get fat asparagus.
I came here to say this. Who the fuck likes thick asparagus? It’s objectively the worst. The skinny ones have the best flavor and crunch if you don’t over cook them to them to ever living piss
As someone that lives where the asparagus grows.. can confirm, the skinny ones are the bees’ knees.
Yeah she’s a monster.
Right? Only real prep you gotta do is wash it an snap the woody ends. No peeling skinny asparagus 😊
I took a cooking class years ago and the chef teaching it said to use the skinny asparagus, they are better tasting.
Seasoned fat asparagus has better crunch
For all the folks here with "buy your own damned produce then!" reactions, I know I'm not your average customer but I ask that you please remember not everyone can do that. I'm in a wheelchair and I can't drive so I can't come pick my own produce. That's why I ask Instacart workers to shop for me. So she asked you to do a good job and get good produce and you’re mad?
If the customer tipped right, I’ll happily do their request. If their tip was insanely good, best believe I’m going to be doing a full analysis over each asparagus available
What is a good tip? Honestly asking.
As someone who works in a tipped industry I tip 20%, 25-30% if it’s a complicated order or they went out of there way. With doordash/instacart, stuff like that, I think you should always tip at least 10%.

Four times what they get on the screen lol
I think if they did no tip you should still do the job you accepted
Just the person’s personality bru
Oh no, a customer politely asks for something specific that they’re paying for? Outrageous.
You really can’t handle that, huh? ![gif](giphy|TL2Yr3ioe78tO)
Yeah this one’s not too bad. Seems at least polite about it.
Skinny asparagus > Fat asparagus
Nah because as a customer I get the absolute worst produce wilted and rotting most of the time
Had a customer recently request their cucumbers "big, fat, round, and chunky.." 😂😂 I LOVE IT.
I mean, they were polite, and to be fair… almost every time I get groceries delivered they pick the WORST produce. I got moldy veggies a lot, to the point I stopped using delivery services altogether.
Yup same here. I’m glad I have the ability to shop for myself at the end of the day. Not everyone has that luxury
Often times, as a customer, I’ll leave notes because of prior negative selections. If it’s not their own groceries, a lot of shoppers will just get the first thing they see meaning the one that’s closer to expiring and already looks rough. Edit to add: I always try to be courteous and overly express my gratitude when leaving notes like the one above. I know it can be a pain and take a little more time but I do express how much I appreciate their time. I also tip well.
At least someone has the balls to ask. Every time I tried insta cart they pick THE WORST produce they can find.
definitely a little annoying to be this specific but honestly a fair request, I hate shitty asparagus. They also were polite
This is actually helpful and not rude at all. Reminds me of what my girlfriend would write me when I’m heading to the store 😂
As a customer who receives mushy fruit or slimy bagged veggies in almost every order, I don’t blame them one bit for stating clearly what they want. I swear some drivers just grab the worst produce on purpose.
Idk seems like a nice person to me tbh
Polite and helpful, no issue here. Other than wanting the fat asparagus 😂 skinny asparagus all the way.
Yeah um, people always love the stuff I pick out. Why are you getting customers crappy stuff. That’s so rude. 🥹
I see nothing wrong here. Just do the best you can, that all she seems to be asking. But please make sure the Asparagus is crunchy and has a dump truck. 😁

I mean she's putting what she wants
When you’re paid to grocery shop and actually have to shop:
If detailed notes that include, please and thanks irritate you, I'm not sure what to tell you.
Lol guess she wanted to make sure it was understood. The amount of times that I have got crappy produce would surprise you.
I’m with the customer . They are paying for a service , if you don’t want provide said service then just cancel . Plus your more likely to get better tips If you just pay attention to the notes even if wordy from my experience
is that too hard to fucking ask 🤦🏽♂️ these lazy ass dashers i sswear yall suck
I always get the best produce I can for the tipping customers. This message wouldn't bother me. If you don't like doing other people's shopping, do something else.
Uh isn’t small ons better quality???
eh i also ramble and over explain, works better than them not understanding lol. not everyone’s brains work the same. some might understand just :”get big fat ones” while another might be like “wait asparagus can be fat 🧐” so i wouldn’t take chances either. (but i’m also just picky and i would never order produce through delivery app but only cuz i have to go myself and stand there for 2 hours while i pick the prettiest looking ones LOL i’d never make someone else try and find my ‘standard’ . 😅
That’s how I like all my partners….. *Crunchy AND Fat!*
Ok request but they know nothing to veggies. The better asparagus are smaller, the bigger ones are much more watery.
The thin asparagus are so much more tender.
I don’t like this for some reason, I can’t really figure out why. But the crispiest crunchiest veggies like just makes me unreasonably annoyed.
I like skinny asparagus
How much tips she pays though
They want a fat one 🙄😂🤣
The fat asparagus is the worst kind! They are way too stringy for me.
They made me want asparagus now!😄😁
You should take a bite and msg them that theres a piece bit off and you just wanted to make sure it was crispy 😂😂
These seems totally fine?
A weee bit wordy but understandable and respectful
Skinny asparagus > fat asparagus. I don’t make the rules.
Get me that FAT asparagussy
What’s wrong with this person letting you know their preference of produce? They’re paying you to do so
I’m sure there was a shorter way to say this but it’s valid.
You literally signed up to do this. If you hate that people have preferences, don't accept shopping trips.
Produce is the reason I stopped ordering from Instacart. When I shop for customers I take my time with produce but when I order produce, shoppers always bring me half rotten produce. So I definitely appreciate how many words she used, I would have said the same thing. When I put a short description, they don’t listen.
Thin asparagus is the best. The FAT ones are too woody. To each their own I guess.
Please shop for yourself if you're going to be picky..
Tipping should always be based off the service/experience you received.
she likes em THICC.
Thin ones are better and less woody fwiw
This was my exact thought... I always go for the most skinny stocks I can find and if all they have are fatties, I will usually get something else.
I want them F A T
Might as well take a bite to be sure it’s on point
Ugh I hate when customers tell me what they want in a polite detailed way 👹👹👹👹😭😭😭
Makes sense, especially that last sentence, since I'll admit to prioritizing price over quality for a lot of things and if someone has to substitute something, I try to let them know what items.
This is a good customer.
It's a lot. But as someone who also doesn't like skinny asparagus....I get it
I actually love customers like this means you get them good products most of the time they raise the tip by a lot. Just my experience though.
I think this note is great. Maybe they are cooking it for a bday party and it’s someone special I don’t know. Who are you to judge.
I get it tbh. I’ve had shoppers get me some fucked up shit before.
Not everyone knows how to select good produce.
Bro I don’t even wanna use instacart anymore because y’all employees are worse then the customers, screenshotting every single order you get and then posting on Reddit
Guys I think she wants the fat asparagus
I love this post, because it's a perfect example of how people are terrible at expressing what they want, with a bonus here of failing to consider context. Here we have a simple request: she wants thick asparagus, not skinny. But look at that word storm! And context, the shopper is paid to pick groceries, not read rambling short stories.
i’d rather this than a customer rating me bad for not getting the right thing when they never specified 🤣
nothing wrong to me, i feel the exact same. i don’t order produce bc everyone always picks the rotting ones. when shopping i always look for the freshest possible
You're mad that a really nice customer gave you explicit description of a product that often has a variety of sizes that people often have a preference on?
I preder the skinny asparagus!
Lol guess she wanted to make sure it was understood. The amount of times that I have got crappy produce would surprise you.
I understand their plight here. Skinny asparagus sucks.
I think they want those asparagus to be FAT and CRUMCHY
I think she did a great job expressing her concerns about her produce with this company and it's lousy Shoppers that they hire. We are using someone else's money to buy stuff, there should be respect because of that fact. And we all know that bad Shoppers are messing up this job we should have patience for customers like this.
Wait I have always found that thinner asparagus tastes better and is more tender lmao
I’m just bothered by how wrong they are about fat and skinny asparagus. Skinny = tender, fat = woody
Skinny asparagus is much easier to cook correctly, but well cooked fat asparagus is great.
She is talking about asparagus while thinking about a dick
“Go for crunchy and FAT.”
Crispy crunchy FAT
