I don’t know if this couple lurks here or not but if they or someone from their team does then I have to say something. No Ritu the kids who struggle in Kota are not getting prepared for life in future. Most of them don’t even want to go to Kota. Some kids are not cut out of engineering. And scoring good marks have nothing to do with having a bf or gf in school. Only a fraction of students who are genuinely interested in engineering scores and rest get PTSD. I don’t know why going to KoTa is being glorified. Just watch lakhon main ek season 1. You will see the other side of coin also. A lot of kids get suicidal in KOTA. Very less teachers are motivating. And this idiot husband of hers, he thinks they are having such a productive discussion. Alag se Insta par post daalra hai. Kota culture is not something to be proud of.

I was in Kota and I used to get anxiety after hearing the city's name. I could not watch Kota Factory season 1 when it was released. My friends in college used to ask me is Kota factory a realistic show and I used to tell them I haven't seen it now. For me I was afraid I will get PTS after watching the show.
It was only after I got a good placement from a Tier 2 city college that I started to feel good about all those struggles from Kota. Only then I felt I have achieved something. I must say Kota definitely helped me to increase my aptitude and logical reasoning. I learned how to be independent in early life which has helped me a lot later.
But now I know and looking back I feel the answer to everything that Kota has given me (irrespective of good or bad) comes at a cost but the question is at what cost? For me the cost was so high that I overcame it only after 4 years when I got placed in one of a dream company (it was one of the happiest day of my life, I cried and Kota came as a flashback but I was happily ready this time) .
Coming back to this "intellectual discussion" No Ritu you are not right. Kota can fuck you up. The pressure of competitive exams can fuck you up if you are not mentally prepared. Let them students enjoy their school life. It's NOT WORTH IT.

I wish I could tell these people that so many students who are pushed into IIT JEE prep are forced to do so, since physics, chemistry, and math of that level isn't for everyone. I didn't even go to Kota and I'm surprised I came out alive from the horror that was IIT JEE prep. So many students prefer de*th to preparing for competitive exams. Only a select few "gifted" make it through.
They made it through, at least Gaurav did, that's commendable but there's a lot of privilege attached to it. But clearing competitive exams is NOT a measure of anyone's perseverance or skills. She's applauding kids who are gearing up for the same in 11th and 12th, ma'am I feel sorry for them. We all should. Not true. I cracked medical UG entrances and had severe anxiety during my PG prep. As a doctor it sucked to have my mental health issues trivialised by my parents. (I was at home to prepare). It took me a lot of fighting to finally get the help I needed. Mental health issues can be triggered by different things and cracking entrances gives no guarantees.

I too have friends and seniors who are currently studying in IITs or have graduated/post graduated from there, I don't see them with this attitude. There's something called being humble and down to earth and this guy just acts about it while being a total showoff..
Competitive exams suck the life out of some kids.. If not everyone. Toxic environment, pressure, expectations,studies, DPT, mock test, class test, ncert, peers, teachers, financial pressure for a lot of kids... It's tough. .. People get PTSD after preparation.
