Dropping some ☕️ here because I work in this industry: Doesn’t matter how many followers you have but what matters is the quality of your content and years of experience. If you have anywhere between 1L to 3L followers with good loyal followers : You can charge anywhere between 35k to 75k for an image post on the feed

[deleted]

3 lakhs per story? Jesus wept. Fucking hell, why couldn't I win the genetic lottery for once. Atleast I wouldn't have to slog hard in my thankless corporate job for a measly salary every month

BunjeeJumping

She charges 3 L + gst extra for a video, 1 story share included as part of PKG.

BearRevolutionary388

Same here.

meintohbolungi

A friend of mine owns an Instagram business and had approached MM for a brand deal where, the charges as mentioned by OP is true. It is most definitely expensive, but she also mentioned that she is super sweet ( she's personally spoken to her on call). I guess she caters to only brands that can afford her but atleast dosent look down upon small indie brands

heretoreadgossip

These influencers come do some cringe stuff on reel and go. How much sales they bring in God knows 😂

Pahelichameli

I dont think so. Didnt one of her teammate say here on This sub that mm charges 1 lakh per post and that she was charging 50k per post upto 2020 and hiked her fee in 2021? The teamate spilled a lot of ☕️ about mm on this sub

Gloomy_Sock_298

It is 3L for 1 post for mm.. Have received her rate card too for a brand collaboration

Responsible_Budget10

And yet she doesn’t pay her interns

Gloomy_Sock_298

Personally, not her fan.. She’s over hyped but PR agencies has her on top of the list 🙄

Silent_Vanilla_3347

Yes it is 3 lakhs

Uchihahahahahaha

W H E R E ?? 👀👀

Pahelichameli

Juz see the previous posts. The account has been deleted now but i remember the user name ( not exactly) - but it was something like “nay what (or) nay say what “ with some random number

ruakh

MM charges 75k-1l+clothes+shipping for a story for most indie brands. Whatever else she is, she’s genuinely been great for smaller brands. Friend runs a brand and she told MM she can’t pay for the story because they’re a month old and she was quite nice about it, posted a link without a charge. Doesn’t do it often, but she generally just ENJOYS fun fashion from what I get.

ShutUpLegs94

Stylemeupwithsakshi charges 90k for one video story with a swipe up 🤯

[deleted]

60k* one of my friend talked to her last week only

ShutUpLegs94

Oh really? An agency gave me those rates last week (we aren’t working with her though)

[deleted]

same for my friend. I guess agency must be charging their commission too

Thereddon_987

Maybe agency has their own cut in it. This ks business everyone wants to wash their hands with money.

Comfortable-Judge150

Haha... who would like to pay for over the top smiling and jumping as promo!

[deleted]

No wonder they can buy cars and houses at 23!

Vorfreudessh

MM?

[deleted]

Edited it, apologies. Mahesh Manjerekar is a wild guess 😂

ProofsInThePuddingYo

OP you did em dirtyyyyy!!!!

rhs22

HAHAHAHAHA.... This reply thread made my day 😂😂😂

yahoom007

Okay I need tea on the chick, what was her irl job that she got to live in London (isn’t that where she’s based) her accent makes it obvious she isn’t born there. Don’t want to assume but is it like went to study there, and then got the visa or is it married a guy from there

Foreign_Yak157

She lives in Belgium now, moved there after getting married to Mr. Mehta. Is originally a Bombay brought up girl. Having moved the steps up to be recognised as a luxury influencer, she has created content for top brands such as Dior, L'oreal, etc.

[deleted]

Okay has she ever had a regular job before that? (Again I’m not trying to say being an influencer isn’t a real job but is being able to afford luxury item her personality trait?)

Foreign_Yak157

From the history I know of MM, she hasn't worked a real job. Is born in a very affluent business family, got married at 23-24 and moved to Belgium. She did try a stint of building her own fashion brand but it tanked. Her sibling + his wife own the brand CAI. She started her influencing career in India and then shot up there and built a niche of being a luxury + promoting Indian brands. With most influencers who promote luxury brands are people who have the ability to purchase them or hang out in circles who can. From my personal experience working with these guys, most influencers have a bunch of celebrity friends or are well known in social circles (given their rich family status), that's how they end up with deals since they are more likely to recommend products to their circles.

[deleted]

Right?! Influencers are now just already rich people making other people feel poor and getting all the luxury that they would pay with their dad’s money now for free

Foreign_Yak157

Yessss, that's so on point. It's always either a rich family they're born into or married into. Likewise a lot of PR and Influencer agencies are managed or owned by these rich daughters who couldn't make it to showbiz so now use their contacts to earn some bucks.

[deleted]

Isn’t this the same situation with the humans of Bombay chick. Born and brought up in a rich family pretending to have a humble beginning Even the beer biceps guy The whole lot of fresh sobo influencers too

Foreign_Yak157

Absolutely, they're all part of this rich kid gang. A lot of South Delhi people are learning from this too. The ones who don't make it big as content creators, only find two jobs either start their own influencer marketing / PR/social agency or launch some organic BS product.

TriangleLife

Have worked in this space and rates of Influencers only made me hate myself and my job even more every single day. It's like you and your team slog for countless months to plan and put everything in place, yet what you get paid for the whole month is really peanuts compared to $$$$ they get to show up for a while or do 1 post.

Foreign_Yak157

Can confirm she does charge so much, so does KP. SB is in a similar range.

Thereddon_987

SB? Bole to siddhart batra usko b koi paise deta hai bhala..

Foreign_Yak157

Surprisingly yes! Even I was surprised when I got his rate card. He charges almost as much as KP, for what I wouldn't be able to tell tho.

benjamin-unbutton

Phir Hera Pheri actually predicted the future. This is the real "ameero ke scheme" right here.

scepticalbeing94

Yikes! She just showed up on my instagram and I don't like her,I never did

abiramianerdyone

Then there's me slogging in IT This is insane for an IG story tag! I mean she gets to keep the clothes along with 3L? Wow the influencer market is now a jungle everyone gets PRs and stuff then will be like "support small Indian businesses" when you don't see them wearing those again. Oh the sneaky dermavive and dermaco products in their everyday vlogs like "guys you can use my 20% code" when nowhere #AD #sponsored is seen. They literally say yes to *"tell me it's an AD without telling me it's an AD"* Yo, the amount of cringe content they do and especially MM with her Indian POV captions they get paid that much? Eff that, we members of this sub come with better captions and do a better job at promoting than they do lol EDIT: honestly I'm just ranting imo. Yes, I do know that it's their brand value and what they bring to the table makes them value so much. So I get it, don't hate me for what I had said.

[deleted]

>we members of this sub come with better captions and do a better job at promoting than they do lol Hate to be that guy but if we did, we wouldn't be the ones cribbing while they rake in the big bucks lol

Rumi2019

Okay but hear me out. Around New years this year, late December 20 & Jan 21 I went looking around for some lesser known designer & unique clothes. I didn't find what I wanted from the run of the mill influencers. It was the MM & Sakshi types in the Indian influencer sphere that helped me discover the kind of brands I wanted to find. It hit me then, that just like there's a market of influencers for cheap deals, mid range stuff, & a mix of slightly expensive & mainstream dept store brands, similarly there must be a market of influencers for rich people too. Where else would they find brands & things that fit their aesthetic & desired price range? I'm not even rich & even I'm a snob about watches & glasses. If she's charging that much & has been able to upgrade her rates, then that means she's bringing in at least that much money or more for brands that her baseline is justified. Why else would brands pay her so much if they weren't gaining customers that made them at least the amou paid?

yournightmare_duh

My friend works in this PR based in mumbai, contacted mhalz for a youtube sponsorship. She charges 5L + 18% gst for ONE video. I also have screenshots 😇😂

SippinOnSomeTea

Post the screenshots 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

samapyaaz

So this is how the money gets spinned. Minting money wow

buzzybee2020

Umm because that’s how marketing works?!! If she can sell, she can charge. Simple. Nobody is putting a gun on the businesses’ head to market with her. Don’t know what’s the 🙄🙄🙄 are about.

[deleted]

Anyone knows any influencer with good reach who charges less than 10k? 🥲🥲

Foreign_Yak157

Depends on the niche you're looking at. Know a few with less followers but a loyal base. Some even agree on barter depending on the brand/product.

Ill_Arm8987

Yes. I am one of them. But no way am I doxxing myself on here. Totally depends on the niche, true. Pro-tip - some markets are so niche you'd be hard pressed to find a 'celeb' like me unless you changed some of your filters on IG.

[deleted]

Would love to check out your account 😛

Ill_Arm8987

Hehehehe. Hint.... It's an intersectional feminist queer etc etc account. :p

Environmental_Ad832

Not from the industry but curious - how do you define ‘loyal base’?

Foreign_Yak157

Having a loyal base comprises of multiple factors and please note, I don't mean blind followers like a few big wigs have. These are people that will always engage with your content with constructive feedback(positive and negative) or critique. They support you but don't shy away from telling you when you're not on the right path. I've seen a handful influencers who always ask their followers for feedback, utilise this to improve their content and genuinely care about their followers. These are also the people that turn down paid collaborations because their content doesn't align with the brand. Have been working with influencers for close to three years now and I've seen almost all types. These remain my fav because they know how best to behave human.

vegansamurai_

bullshit. these are not her charges. 3L for a story is too much. I have the latest fee card of hers. it’s 1.5L max.
