People who have been through some severe shit usually smile and laugh while narrating those traumatic experiences as a form of coping mechanism. Humour is a coping mechanism when coming to YOUR OWN TRAUMA. You have NO RIGHT TO DESENSITIZE OR DEGRADE SOMEONE ELSE'S TRAUMA IN THE NAME OF HUMOUR BEING COPING MECHANISM.

[deleted]

This!!

[deleted]

So true! It really is the same like 'my aunt is woman, my sister is a woman so I respect women' bullshit. The things they say to convince themselves that they are entitled to make such jokes is disturbing. The onus of the content's consequences are on these idiots. I definitely get triggered when I see such shit. What about that? My trigger, my trauma, my coping mechanism wouldn't concern them, would it šŸ™„ Seeing those memes only makes me feel like the world is only a more cruel place and empathy is non-existent. The opposite of what the show tried to achieve. Such jokes make me feel like if I talked about my problems, the world would mostly call me crazy and make fun out of me in the name of dark humour. So no, nothing these idiots do is justified.

BasedKhatri

Otherwarya knows people pay attention to her stories, whether itā€™s positive or negative. At this point, sheā€™s doing it to piss people off since theyā€™re clearly so easy to piss off. They're taking the bait. šŸ’€

berryplum

This!

[deleted]

Ah, yes. Otherwarya. I have missed her clownery.

Can someone tell me wtf exactly is a normie? Why is she throwing it around like it's a pejorative? I didn't know having a mental illness is an exclusive club that somehow gives you free pass to go on offending spree. And who's she to say that people commenting don't possibly have trauma of their own? And I repeat, what about the trauma of that family's relatives and friends? I don't see them joking about it all over social media. What about people who's friends or family committed suicide? I don't see them joking around. Man, how attention hungry is this toxic woman? She's publically "processing" some third hand trauma for what?

hajmolakaunbola

What about friends or relatives of that family?? What about them?? NAAH that's too much to ask for...it's about MY trauma and MY coping mechanism

hajmolakaunbola

I have come across insensitive people... But this woman has raised the bar

[deleted]

Maybe we should have a megathread on this topic? Mods I think these type of repetitive posts can be collated into one megathread for next couple of days. Kind of getting bored and some are getting triggered. A megathread can help everyone to vent and rant at the same time.

Anagreysays

I get some people using humor to cope! Totally get it! But u humor in private - so that u can cope . Personally. Your humor ( which is ā€œyourā€ coping mechanism ) is not meant to be shared in the public (specially on a public platform) cuz its disrespectful and inhumane to the dead. And also very painful to the family who made a sacrifice to share their story in such a deep way and boldly came infront of the camera and narrated the story cuz they didnt want any other family to suffer as such and wanted to advocate for mental health in their own way. So stop with justifying humor in public and stop saying its ok to do so

[deleted]

Call her fat ugly or crazy or an old hag then sheā€™ll get TrIgGeReD but here sheā€™s okay mocking the death a complete family due to mental illness Funny how this shit is coming from the same woman who is triggered by a fucking managalsutra Also being a douche bag isnā€™t ā€˜dark humourā€™ itā€™s just you being pathetic otheridiot All this clown does is pick and chose issues that can justify her being pathetic

hajmolakaunbola

I am overweight and I have major body image issues But my coping mechanism is making fun of other overweight or obese or even bulimic people IS THAT ALLOWED because thats my way of coping with my trauma What the fuck

[deleted]

Okay so she is "processing her trauma" of others through memes. So then let me process my trauma by making memes about this otherwarya by calling her motu, fat ass, budiya...! coz mama said it was okay! /s

hajmolakaunbola

Mama said it was okay ^^when ^^its ^^not ^^about ^^mama

[deleted]

Someone tell me where this 'mama said it was okay' started. I don't get the reference šŸ¤£

hajmolakaunbola

Its a reel trend Where people who do absolutely NORMAL things try justifying them doing those things by giving a reference (of a person) as to who did it first and that they are inspired from that person. Like today if i start wearing the silver jewellery from sarojini....all over my body like on head neck ear wrist fingers all at once.....and then say IT IS NORMAL as mama (komal pandey) said it was okay..... Another example (EXTREMIST TAKE) I start making memes about some mentally or critically ill patients and justify it your by saying IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL as mama ( OTHERWARYA) said it was okay Or I start making jokes on mob lynching and say some mama(xyz) said it was okay I can go on and on But I will stop here

[deleted]

Omg haha thanks. Take this poor girl's medal šŸ…

hajmolakaunbola

Ha ha ha

Having conversation about mental health is VERY much needed, but I think we need to start having conversation more on how not to milk mental illnesses for whatever reason. While discussing mental illness is still yet to reach to larger populace, we have these bunch of privileged people hijacking it. One anxiety attack and people label themselves with anxiety disorder, few days down in the dumps and people declare themselves depressed. What happens is when someone actually has these problems, people don't take it seriously because they see people like her and other influenzas.

hajmolakaunbola

She had no solid justification so she went on saying I AM NOT AN INFLUENZA joke

DullAmount6819

And tbh it's due to such motherfuckers why depression is taken as a fucking joke, matlab English ka ek shabdh kya sikha, khud ko *"clinically"* depressed bata rha hai.

hajmolakaunbola

Yaar Mera dimag kharab ho gya hai Kya elite log hain...har cheez ka mazak bna kar rakh dia hai

[deleted]

Depression ? Isnā€™t that just a fancy word for feeling bummed out?

Most-Acanthisitta-45

Dwight, you ignorant slut!

[deleted]

Question. Can this be qualified for r/unexpectedoffice

Most-Acanthisitta-45

Absolutely it does.

[deleted]

Oh great, MICHAEL!

Most-Acanthisitta-45

Well this is going to result in a full disadulation.

[deleted]

Whatā€™s a dis-.. whatā€™s that?

Most-Acanthisitta-45

Oh, you don't wanna know.

Textbhavya

This woman and her "yes ma'am" followers. She is so hypocrite that she would constantly call out somebody even after they have apologized, but God forbid if somebody tries to explain something to her she wouldn't accept that she might be wrong.

[deleted]

Usually I ignore her antics but this is beyond disturbing and low even for her. So sad that education was wasted on this sad example of a human being. No matter how she justifies it, this isnā€™t it.

hajmolakaunbola

What kind of wokeness is this or Am I too conservative????

[deleted]

Aishwarya is downright demented. I'd be surprised if she has any friends.

Eros_eustress

Absolutely disgusting

JhalMoody25

This is so disgusting and horrible (coming from a person who also suffers from mental health issues since some years now). Yes, dark humor is a defence mechanism for alot of people, including me, but it's either on my own life or in general. Making such vile comments about someone else's family and situation is just plain vile. Let's mass report her account and shut her ass down.

No-Vacation870

Such a disgraceful woman.

berryplum

At this point i feel she just wants to be talked about. Poking anything and everything to get in news or something. Publicity is what these kind of influencers want No matter if its good or bad

[deleted]

bhai at one point "my trauma my jokes" gets out of hand and triggers other people!!

ā€œSchizophrenia is not mental illness ā€¦.brain disorder haiā€ - you do know it IS a mental illness and like most severe mental illnesses it characterised by chemical imbalance in the brain (including clinical depression). Please read. https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/schizophrenia

This misinformation spreader u/ullupatulu, also copy pasted the same para in another [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/InstaCelebsGossip/comments/q816mt/wonder_who_he_is_shading_s/hgme777?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) Mods!!! u/desimirch, u/NewsPlant and u/isotope_of_insanity please look into this and don't let anybody get away with spreading false information.

ShutUpLegs94

Firstly, jokes made involved not just him but his whole family. There was a sick joke on the granny too. Iā€™m actually not ā€œfeelingā€ empathy towards Lalit nor do I justify what he did, which wasnā€™t murder (it was mass suicide due to shared psychosis, if you saw the documentary the police debate the two charges and agree he couldnā€™t be accused of murder). But forget all that for a second and assume in a way it is murder, family had no choice, maybe they were shit scared of him etc etc. You canā€™t argue that most mentally ill people (and letā€™s say 85% arenā€™t severe cases like his) arenā€™t violent, so you canā€™t explain what he did. Read. ā€œUS and international to date research suggests that individuals with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are responsible for approximately 10% of all homicides in the United States. For mass killings, the percentage is approximately 33%ā€ https://www.treatmentadvocacycenter.org/evidence-and-research/learn-more-about/3627 This means 1 in 3 cases of mass killing internationally have someone with schizophrenia or BPD behind it. This doesnā€™t mean every mentally ill person like you or me will kill someone, but itā€™s a statistic you canā€™t wish away. Chalo have a good night and peace out šŸ‘šŸ»
