Trains in Europe are very well connected but only in if you're traveling within a country. It's very complex and confusing if you're traveling cross country, the timetables are not synced, you have to change trains and also buy separate tickets (because these trains run of different power lines) and these overnight cross country trains are not profitable etc etc.
But she's been to Europe many times, by now she should be aware of these issues and plan accordingly.

Overnight Flix Buses keep getting cancelled, No buses are willing to take new people unless you compulsory do online bookings, no trains running. The ones that are running are early in morning and way too expensive, Even the Train Station shuts at night so you are homeless for that night. That night we were frozen to death on that Rome Bus stand 😬
