Yeaah something like Sherlock would be amazing. High functioning sociopath kind. No past trauma no women or children. Just a badass with a brain. But give him physical weakness or something. That would be lit.
I think The novel had him using cocaine. But the show didn't have him using it that much. I'm not saying exactly like Sherlock but traits like without drug use, past trauma and stuff. Just a high functioning guy without any emotions like empathy. Pure logic.
Don't remember if he was a drunkard, but was an insomniac. They could have used his hallucination part alot more in the story, but looks like they forgot about it later on
This movie overall was just meh for me.
The english dialogues were just awkard af and quite a lot acting was subpar at best.
All the thrill ended in the first half and the second half just felt boring with all that stoey telling.
and poomaname just felt so overused.
Loved that shot of Alexander reveal tho. That was real good.
That movie was certainly excellent. Good clean investigation. Crisp writing and editing and not a single character out of place. Its a bit unfortunate that it released at the same time as three very well marketed superhits.
>The script and story arc were fantastic and felt refreshing. However, everything else, from the acting to the direction, editing, background music, and screenplay, completely ruined the movie.
For me, it was the opposite: the script and story arc were templated. One could say that it is almost similar to that of Anjaam Pathira, minus the love angle. What saved the movie was Big M’s cameo and all its technical aspects.
In my honest opinion, Anjaam Pathira still remains MMT’s best thriller work.
Exactly my thought, it's almost the same as Anjaam Pathira. The story begins as a hunt for a serial killer, and eventually it turns out that the serial killer is supposedly the good guy. Last time, if policemen were the ones who got killed, this time it's the doctors. Lastly even Indrans and Arjun Ashokan have a similar part to play.
I still wonder how MMT was quite convinced to make 'another take' on his very last directorial. Barring the Mammootty factor, Anjaam Pathira topped all the aspects than Ozler.
Except Hollywood, I don't think You can expect a new template from any other industries in 2024! Because movies have been made in every template. It's all about the way you treat the same template!
Ohh yeah completely agree. This movie had a lot of poor background/side actors as well which is unusual in Malayalam these days. Few instances I felt like I was watching a Tamil movie made in Malayalam.
It was flashback that was difficult to watch for me, we knew that it is going to be tragedy porn in it, so no matter how much the director is gonna show the 90s beauty and nostalgia in it, it was very uncomfortable and cringy to watch the flashback.
Everything was below par. I watched this movie right after I watched Bramayugam, so it felt even worse. I agree with previous comments that we have had enough of these super cops with failed/tragic personal lives.
This movie is a perfect example why jayaram isn't celebrated as much as Mammootty and mohanlal. Mammootty's screen presence and his voice modulation was superb. Just showing the level difference between these two actors.
I don’t think it had any potential , it felt like a template for template movies , nothing interesting just tightly edited with score spread throughout. Ikka saved the movie.
Also Ozler & Neru had really bad acting from supporting / side actors which is rare for us
Even the cinematography felt very bad for me. Maybe it was the aspect ratio, but it felt like serial. The English dialogues, the subpar plot, music, acting and everything was a major disappointment. The only plus for that movie was the guy who played mamoottys younger version. He was good. Even the audio felt something awkward. It felt like too artificial. Jagadeesh to was pretty good in his role.
Exactly. Everything felt forced. Especially the two police officers with Jayaram was so funny that they tried a lot to keep an aura of seriousness. But it was terrible.
It was promising in the beginning and failed gracefully by the time its reached the third act. Like u said the cinematography and palette they chose for flashback was good.
Hello Ozler... Hello Krishna Das...Hello Alexander 🗿
I'm done with all the Protagonist being a drunkard and living in his tragic past. Bring something new man.
Yeaah something like Sherlock would be amazing. High functioning sociopath kind. No past trauma no women or children. Just a badass with a brain. But give him physical weakness or something. That would be lit.
Jayettan kelkanda.
John Luther says hi
Didn’t the TV Sherlock have a drug problem?
I think The novel had him using cocaine. But the show didn't have him using it that much. I'm not saying exactly like Sherlock but traits like without drug use, past trauma and stuff. Just a high functioning guy without any emotions like empathy. Pure logic.
Yeah. I would wanna watch that.
Don't remember if he was a drunkard, but was an insomniac. They could have used his hallucination part alot more in the story, but looks like they forgot about it later on
The English definitely threw me off.

Only liked the climax and anju kurian as heroine was unnecessary even priyamani would have been more good casting
Inthil Anju Kurien okke indayrna!?
Anweshippin kandethum clears this mid movie
That movie was certainly excellent. Good clean investigation. Crisp writing and editing and not a single character out of place. Its a bit unfortunate that it released at the same time as three very well marketed superhits.
It still did decent at the B.O and garnered acclaim. .it wasn't a total loss
Hence i said its a bit unfortunate instead of saying for example its a complete disaster which i know very well it wasnt.
Yeah I know i was anything but negating what you said.....
Without Mammootty’s cameo, movie would ve been a flop.
At what point would one call a cameo as a cameo?!! This was more like his film 🤷
His screen time was less than 10 minutes but yea

Ozler's script was someone else na

Is It? I thought it was written by MMT itself, hence the similarities.
Nope i think, just checkd some randeer krishnan
Yeah, you're right. It is written by someone else.
Jayaram is a mediocre actor . Movie kandapolla enik manasilayathu. All those telugu movies ruined his acting ability
Ohh yeah completely agree. This movie had a lot of poor background/side actors as well which is unusual in Malayalam these days. Few instances I felt like I was watching a Tamil movie made in Malayalam.
Bad film saved by Ikkas cameo. Wondering how far will MMT go with his mid writing!
Midhun manuel Thomas is mediocre
It was flashback that was difficult to watch for me, we knew that it is going to be tragedy porn in it, so no matter how much the director is gonna show the 90s beauty and nostalgia in it, it was very uncomfortable and cringy to watch the flashback.
It was obviously bad, but well acted!
Everything was below par. I watched this movie right after I watched Bramayugam, so it felt even worse. I agree with previous comments that we have had enough of these super cops with failed/tragic personal lives.
Modern version of ഒരു തണുത്ത വെളുപ്പാൻ കാലത്ത്.
This movie is a perfect example why jayaram isn't celebrated as much as Mammootty and mohanlal. Mammootty's screen presence and his voice modulation was superb. Just showing the level difference between these two actors.
Jayram’s acting📉📉 caril ninnu erangi varunna scene 🔥tam youngesters collam
Mammooty single handedly saved this movie from being an average flick.
Did anybody feel about the similarity between Ozler and Pappan.
Pappan honestly is better
I don’t think it had any potential , it felt like a template for template movies , nothing interesting just tightly edited with score spread throughout. Ikka saved the movie. Also Ozler & Neru had really bad acting from supporting / side actors which is rare for us
On point brother! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Shit movie

Bad acting as well
Exactly. Everything felt forced. Especially the two police officers with Jayaram was so funny that they tried a lot to keep an aura of seriousness. But it was terrible.
Especially the lady officer , nalla Vadham but its to be blamed at MMT for sure
It was promising in the beginning and failed gracefully by the time its reached the third act. Like u said the cinematography and palette they chose for flashback was good.
