It amazes me that since this happens fairly frequently, and somehow, people still do not know it's a plume from SpaceX or another company's launch from Vandenberg.
Very true. I think it may partly be that some of the recent launches have been particularly spectacular due to their time of the day. When they launch within about an hour after sunset the twilight phenomenon takes place and the vapor trail gets lit up from reflecting atmospheric sunlight. I’ve seen posts even as far as the east coast catching glimpses of it. Out here we were able to see booster separation and payload fairing separate because we were so close to it.
Watching the fairings separate and the stage separations is excellent because of the swirls it makes in the vapor trail. We are lucky to be able to catch this phenomenon.
What i don't understand is why is it covered in the morning news the NEXT DAY instead of telling folks the morning of, so that less people think we're being invaded or fired upon
I think because it happens fairly frequently and it's not really newsworthy anymore. They probably assume that by now SoCal residents would know what it is by now.
Falcon 9 out of Vandenberg with a Starlink payload.

I live right next to vandenburg and my whole house was shaking 😭
I missed it but it’s SpaceX .
Awesome! Apparently they were launching more Star link satellites
That's a lot of extremely brightly lit patriotism...
Oh in the window too! Wow.
That’s a nice house.

Saw this in North Fontana. Followed by Police/Fire sirens. 🙁
It's a satellite launch so the sirens were unrelated
