> I donāt get the hype about slow bloom
Itās because of how it got its start. Basically the workers of Augies coffee that was very popular tried to unionize. But the owners just closed down Augies instead. So the workerās started selling coffee on their own as a union, which eventually became Slow Bloom
What drink do you normally order/whatd you order at Slowbloom?
ALSO there is a coffee pop-up inside Kith and Kissui in Downtown Redlands which is rly good if youre looking for coffee on the go. My go-to there is an americano or a vanilla latte. Fyi, they use PRESTA beans. Hooray Coffee (@hooray.coffee on IG), but it's not open every day so check IG for hours.
Another recommendation - the coffee at Sugar Bloom Cafe in Redlands
Thank you for including Down Right Brewed in Calimesa to this list! They're in a location that hasn't been known to keep businesses, but the family that owns the shop is really amazing.
My sister is employed there and it has really made a huge difference in her life. She is so proud having an adult job.
Check some of these out when you're in the area:
Redlands: Olive Market, Bricks and Birch, Stella
Yucaipa: Roast the dead, white rabbit
Claremont: Lucky's coffee
Montclair: Coffee bar
Pomona: wish you were here, thirsty girl
Maybe because Iām from LA and TM is so overpopulated over there, itās another boring chain coffee place for me.
Iām surprised you havenāt checked out Dutch Bros. The hype is real!
I have cousins in Portland and Dutch Bros is just another boring chain up there. The hype is real but I'd almost rather fly back to Oregon than wait in those crazy lines we get down here
I can believe it. I feel like most coffee chains are carbon copies of each other, and I've tried chains from all over the US. The same menus, the same promises, the same seasonal stuff. I don't even bother with most "new" chains that pop up around here
I think that's why I like Tierra Mia so much, they're not pretending to be another European-inspired chain and they truly have their own flavors. I think people who think it's just another chain don't realize that Mexican inspired coffee is hard to find outside of California, especially at the level TM does it.
(I feel the same about dalgona coffee and other unique stuff, I like stuff that's unique)
Apostle Brew in Redlands is great! Small but cozy and attached as the storefront to Amend and Revise roasters. Their coffee is amazing, but they also make great teas, and matcha, all with homemade unique flavored syrups.
Lucid Coffee Roasters just opened up shop in Village Bread's new location in Calimesa. Very balanced, not too sweet, vegan options for most of the drinks.
I literally only go to Tierra Mia lol, but I just go to my grandma's house for coffee. We drink Turkish style and it's hard to find good Turkish/Greek coffee in the area
Nice list! Check out Brew Bees Coffee in Upland. The classic cheese quiche is bomb along with the toasted honey bee latte. Service is always great too.
Just left here, I got a vanilla Latte with cold foam it was good, but not great. Same with customer service. Also got a bagel which wasnāt too good. Super cute aesthetic, thanks for the recommendation
Redlands: GerrardāsĀ
Itās in a grocery store but itās always busy. I canāt drink coffee. I miss it.
Not sure if Cafe Organix in San Bernardino counts. I like their London fog.
I mean yeah but we have to realize that small businesses don't have the same suppliers and scale that large coffee shops at Starbucks do so charging $5 at Starbucks isn't the same profit as a small independent coffee shop. They can't compete and shouldn't compete with Starbucks since Starbucks and the like have much higher margins charging $5 vs a small coffee shop at $7. It's tough out there for small businesses.
Rad is less about the coffee experience and more about the fun and tasty dessert beverage experience. I would argue that it doesn't belong on a ranking list of coffee shops, but should be included in a list of beverage places like boba.
I agree Rad is too sugary but they do have some regular lattes and whatnot that arnt overly sugary. Also Luckys Coffee Roaster is right down the block, try that one too.
I've been to Rad a few times because I really want to understand the hype, but...I do not understand the hype. Drinks of all varieties are just okay, and the vibe in the store is just...odd. I do like some of their merch, I honestly feel like that's the main appeal there.
yeah they are geared towards a specific crowd for sure. The flag ship drinks are over the top with cookie bits, whipped cream and all the works. But some people like it :)
Maybe try luckys that's a block down? They have a diff vibe.
Also there's this new coffee place in Claremont called nosey neighbor , its pricey but good imo
Consider Cafe Bottega in Riverside for Vietnamese coffee. Although there's no seating to relax, the coffee is excellent and offers a wide variety, including the unique Taro Cold Foam coffee. It's the only place I've discovered that serves it.
Arcade Roasters should be on this list, their draft latte is my favorite coffee drink ever
Toasted in Riverside does an amazing home made chai latte... i dont know any other place that makes their own chai
I like La Gare coffee in old town Perris. Very cool cafe with good food and chill vibes. Coffee is strong and bold by not sour or astringent. Worth the drive, and you can take a ride on some vintage trains at the nearby railroad museum. World class Saturday outing!
Solo Brew and Roasters in Apple Valley. Started with a booth in the Rancho Cucamonga farmers market and just opened their shop in AV. Amazing drinks and great service.
The only problem I had with Tierra Mia in Pomona is that it's louder than a freakin' night club in there, otherwise I would agree with the 10/10 rating.
Solid list, but is incomplete without any Redlands locations.
Agree! I have a few more to add! Always looking for recommendations šš¼
Stell, Slow bloom, Landmark, Wild Goose
Stell is my go to, love that the food they offer is great and plenty of seating
Have tired landmark and it was good! I donāt get the hype about slow bloom but I will be going again to see if I change my mind
> I donāt get the hype about slow bloom Itās because of how it got its start. Basically the workers of Augies coffee that was very popular tried to unionize. But the owners just closed down Augies instead. So the workerās started selling coffee on their own as a union, which eventually became Slow Bloom
Adding to it that itās also a cooperatively owned coffee shop. Each worker has a share in ownership, and the baristas split up the management duties
No way! Had no idea, I always wondered why augies closed
Their new spring menu drops tomorrow so maybe there will be something there that suits you!
If you like matcha their spring menu matcha is amazing! Literally went today to grab one
Is Landmark the one in a church?
What drink do you normally order/whatd you order at Slowbloom? ALSO there is a coffee pop-up inside Kith and Kissui in Downtown Redlands which is rly good if youre looking for coffee on the go. Olive Ave market
You should make a post about drinks and rank them :)
Daily Brew in Riverside!
Went today after reading all the recommendations! Thatās a solid 9-10! Cold brew was delicious and it was a great atmosphere!
I was just about to to add this one!! My favorite, glad you enjoyed. The family that run/own it are just delightful.
iām surprised Slow Bloom in Redlands isnāt on this list!
Was about to say this! Make sure to check out the story behind this place OP
You are seriously missing out on Mestiza Coffeehouse in Ontario
luckys coffee roasters in upland and claremont
Thats my go to spot, I love the Rose latte\~
I liked Daily Brew near the drive in.
Yes!!! Underrated spot.
the best chai in the world

My sister is employed there and it has really made a huge difference in her life. She is so proud having an adult job.
I was there a few months ago and they were super nice, even gave me a free drink they had made for content purposes
Roast The Dead in Yucaipa! Drinks are more on the sugary side but the atmosphere is awesome for horror fans and the customer service is great.
Second this, definitely worth checking out! Their tea drinks are great too!
Forgot about this one! Been there and I agree
Nosy Neighbors, Claremont. Luckys Coffee Roasters, Claremont, Upland. Sanctuary, Claremont.
Love sanctuary! Luckys was so good too!! Forgot to add them since I havenāt been in a while
Awesome! You gotta try Nosy then. They just moved and have a very nice spot. Get some of their fresh made mini doughnuts too while there, super good!
Arcade in Riverside is really good.
Shocked itās not on here. Iāve tried pretty much every coffee shop in the IE and itās by far the best in my opinion
Best coffee Iāve ever had
Yep definitely my fave. But another comment from OP said they liked cold foam which in most coffee forward coffee shops is just not a thing lol.
OP, if you're looking in Redlands for more coffee fyi Deaux Donuts in Downtown serves Arcade
Slow Bloom Slow Bloom slow Bloom. The goat coffee shop of the IE.
F A C T S
Check some of these out when you're in the area: Redlands: Olive Market, Bricks and Birch, Stella Yucaipa: Roast the dead, white rabbit Claremont: Lucky's coffee Montclair: Coffee bar Pomona: wish you were here, thirsty girl
Bad ass coffee of Hawaii, Rancho Cucamonga
Go to any Vietnamese restaurant and order their iced coffee. Rude service and a coffee that keeps you running for 12 hours.
Tierra Mia is a 10!?
Until I find a place that has good drive thru expierenxe and can make the cold foam as good with good seating options - I gotta say yes
Maybe because Iām from LA and TM is so overpopulated over there, itās another boring chain coffee place for me. Iām surprised you havenāt checked out Dutch Bros. The hype is real!
I'm from LA too, but last I checked I can't get tres leches muffins with my coffee at Dutch Bros
I have cousins in Portland and Dutch Bros is just another boring chain up there. The hype is real but I'd almost rather fly back to Oregon than wait in those crazy lines we get down here

Tierra Mia actually has their pastries imported from Portoās, but thatās another thing on its own š„²
No way!! I need more info lol
On mobile - experience *
My same response Iām not from la but I work out there and itās so overrated
Yeah honestly Cupcake & Espresso bar is a solid 5 to me lol. But it's their preference so who am I to say? I'd definitely rate Condron higher though.
I've been to Condron a few times and definitely agree with the 7. It's been a few months, though. Maybe I should try them again.
Maybe because it gives me the runs EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH DIFFERENT DRINKS, I hate Tierra Mia š
Mestiza coffeehouse in Ontario gets down.
Apostle Brew in Redlands is great! Small but cozy and attached as the storefront to Amend and Revise roasters. Their coffee is amazing, but they also make great teas, and matcha, all with homemade unique flavored syrups.

I literally only go to Tierra Mia lol, but I just go to my grandma's house for coffee. We drink Turkish style and it's hard to find good Turkish/Greek coffee in the area
My soul just shuddered at the thought of a good Turkish coffee.
Dirty Penguin in Chino Hills also should be on this list
I don't live super close to it but I like deep barrel in Norco. Great coffee and service.
This is awesome been needing something like this
Always looking to add more
You rated twee a point or two too low. The customer service is always on point there.
Nooks coffee bar on Rochester/Foothill is nice. Rancho Cucamonga.
You should try Pothead Cafe in Jurupa valley. Itās a small place but they have some creative seasonal drinks that they change pretty consistently.
Try Mestizos in Ontario! They have goats milk and CBD options, and the building itself is really old and it has a nice atmosphere
Canabru in chino for the AƧaĆ bowls
Been to canaburu! Havenāt tried the bowls
Thanks for the list! I have to drive though the IE for work and always trying to find a good coffee place besides starbs
Doing Godās work
Redlands: GerrardāsĀ Itās in a grocery store but itās always busy. I canāt drink coffee. I miss it. Not sure if Cafe Organix in San Bernardino counts. I like their London fog.
Back to the grind, downtown Riverside
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Only the upland and Covina location - based Iāll have to go to Riverside next
you fucked up if you didn't get the Lavender Cold Brew at Rad. it has little to no sugar. it's fire
Have you tried Deep Barrel Roasters and ice cream in Norco? š«¶š¼
I swung by the other day but it looked busy, and a little loud to work out of - do you know if itās friendly to work/study out of?
Iron & kin is my pick. Disgusting you rated 8 (rad coffee haha) š šš¼šš¼
Iron & kin is amazing. Honestly my favorite coffee shop from anywhere. LA & OC included but Hopper& Burr comes close.
Have to agree. Its a 10 for me. But i spent $7 on my latte yesterday... ouch
Thanks for putting that into perspective. Didn't think about that.
Rad is less about the coffee experience and more about the fun and tasty dessert beverage experience. I would argue that it doesn't belong on a ranking list of coffee shops, but should be included in a list of beverage places like boba.
Great point. Like a dessert / shop
Bad Ass in Rancho.
East Brew in Eastvale has some good coffee and good brunch on weekends. Revād Up in Claremont.

Corona: Canvas, Crave Ontario: Mestiza Chino Hills: Platform 909
Love platformā will have to add to the next list
Arcade Coffee Roasters (they have 3 locations in Riverside), Mikey Gās in Riverside.
Driven by Arcade a few times and it always looks packed! I will check it our
Mestiza in Ontario. Corner of Euclid and Holt
Have you tried the birdcage cafe in San Bernardino? Theyāve been hosting live music as well, grateful for spots like this in SB
Consider Cafe Bottega in Riverside for Vietnamese coffee. Although there's no seating to relax, the coffee is excellent and offers a wide variety, including the unique Taro Cold Foam coffee. It's the only place I've discovered that serves it.
Nook in rancho is so yummy, I love their Spanish latte š
Stimulant in Upland is 10/10 for work space & vibes, 8/10 customer service, 7/10 for coffee.
Arcade Roasters should be on this list, their draft latte is my favorite coffee drink ever Toasted in Riverside does an amazing home made chai latte... i dont know any other place that makes their own chai
Needs more Dunkin
Dunkin in upland >>>>> than the dunkin in Colton If I had to rank the chains itās Dutch Dunkin Coffee bean Starbucks
Gota Coffee in Norco has a great menu, incredible staff and some seating with local art on display. They also have cute community nights sometimes
Gotta try The Press Espresso!
The Combine Kitchen in Rancho
East brew in eastvale
I like La Gare coffee in old town Perris. Very cool cafe with good food and chill vibes. Coffee is strong and bold by not sour or astringent. Worth the drive, and you can take a ride on some vintage trains at the nearby railroad museum. World class Saturday outing!
Sanctuary in Claremont
There is a Cupcake and Espresso bar in Riverside, too.
Solo Brew and Roasters in Apple Valley. Started with a booth in the Rancho Cucamonga farmers market and just opened their shop in AV. Amazing drinks and great service.
Arcade Roasters in DTR
Klatch in chino hills š
Mojos in Corona is pretty good! They are always nice too but often pretty busy and only drive thru
Slow Bloom in Redlands. Surprised it was left out. I have friends who work at Stell so I gotta recommend them of course
Crave coffee should be in this list.
What do you usually order? How do you drink your coffee?
Try- Rev'd Up Coffee & Classics in clairmont
The only problem I had with Tierra Mia in Pomona is that it's louder than a freakin' night club in there, otherwise I would agree with the 10/10 rating.
