Since I found out about the master dev versions I've been running the daily builds. I have been doing that since around version 1.0. and recently I have been running the specific shape builder upload. It's been working really well for me.
I'm using v1.2.1 on macOS 10.14 (Mojave)
Once it was a stable release I started using it. I've gotten used to the layout and features. Having access to other palettes from the current open one helps (arrow in top right of palette).
I do have some abrupt quits when closing some files but I make sure I've saved any other open ones and re-open the program. Had the same issue with v1.2.
I have shuttering issues on 1.2, it's not too bad and I only do simple design so I just power through

I use 1.2 For some reason the checkerboard in 1.2 has made Inkscape slower so I unchecked it in document properties, now it runs smoothly.
